ELA and Family Singularity

Hope all is well.

 

(I hope I did not just waste a respec per each ELA toon because of Issue 28 changes).

 

Regarding the Family's Singularity: Is ELA's Tier 9 power the only way to mitigate Singularity's "lifting" effect? My Brute has no concerns on the "ground", otherwise...

 

Singy just kept pulling me up. (And I think it was doing the same to a slotted Psi Armour Brute too).

 

Do I need to slot KB IOs back into my build?

It's not knockback, so a -KB IO won't fix it (though it will prevent you from being knocked back if you're in the air too long).  It's either "Trawl" or "reverse repel".  I believe that both of those can be mitigated with a break free.

It is indeed repel (the effect), not to be confused with Repel (the power), which Singularity also has.

Not all armor sets have repel protection. Electric doesn't get it in Static Shield but does get it in Power Surge. The armor sets with repel protection in their base mezz protection are Energy, Invulnerability, Shield, Stone and Willpower.
