Wolfboy1 Posted yesterday at 06:46 AM Posted yesterday at 06:46 AM So i have this scrapper enhancement in one of my powers of course but it is the only one of its IO set in it. My question is, would making it into Superior quality change anything or can I save the Catalyst?Â
Maelwys Posted yesterday at 07:03 AM Posted yesterday at 07:03 AM The Regular and the Superior trigger exactly the same buff... but the Superior has double the chance to activate (4PPM instead of 2PPM).  To figure out the exact activation chance you need to plug the numbers (from here) plus your local recharge enhancement % into a PPM calculator. To figure out how it affects your attack chain you really need to spend some time with CoDv2 and a spreadsheet. Â

Uun Posted yesterday at 02:18 PM Posted yesterday at 02:18 PM In case you're not aware, the buff applied by the Critical Strikes proc doesn't apply to the power it's slotted in. The 50% buff lasts for 3.25s starting 0.5s after the power it's slotted in activates. Uuniverse

The active buff window is a little longer than that in practice.  It kicks in on the slotted attack's ATBE (rounded up for Arcanatime) and extends for 4.25 seconds (the 3.25 stated in the description, plus 0.5s from the IO's ATBE, plus another 0.5s from the resulting Set Bonus's ATBE) 1
The Trouble Posted yesterday at 06:36 PM Posted yesterday at 06:36 PM (edited) It requires understanding which of your attack powers are junk, but this thread has some additional considerations for where to slot your Critical Strikes Proc.  Edited yesterday at 06:38 PM by The Trouble Superfluous commas 1
