Slipster17 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 (edited) I see a previous post about this back from 2020 - but there doesn't appear to be any update or resolution for it. I'm playing a character that started life in Primal Earth (as far at the Praetorians are concerned!) but going through the Praetoria storylines in Ouro. This is in the "My Best Friend, Rusty (Neutropolis Warden, Ch. 2)" arc. I have a mission from Penny Yin - Speak with Aaron Walker in Neutropolis - but cannot complete it as the NPC is not at his pinned location on the map. The previous post seemed to suggest this may be related to a previous loyalty choice made by Praetorian born characters - but I don't believe that would apply to my situation. I've also been choosing to stick to the Resistance side of things if that helps. Thoughts? Edited September 8 by Slipster17
Lunar Ronin Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Did you already do the Dark Watcher story arc? If so, that removes Aaron Walker from the game. You'll need to contact a GM. 1
isawa koi Posted September 8 Posted September 8 I think an alternate 'fix' is to do Aaron Walker's arc to completion in flashback, whereupon the game will flag him as 'alive'. That will require you to quit out of your current Ouro flashback, however. 1

Thanks for the idea - tried that real quick and while he DID reappear on his street corner while his flashback arc was in progress, he was gone once the flashback ended.

Yeah, when it comes to Praetoria, especially through flashbacks, you have to make sure you tackle the arcs in the correct order if you want to do them all. Get a contact NPC arrested or killed, you are flagged as not having that contact available for anything else. The contact will, or at least should, return while you do his/her/their arc through Ouroboros, but as far as I am aware, not for any other arcs. And I believe there are four such contacts you have to watch out for in this manner. So I advise always running Praetoria from start to finish, rather than just jumping to whatever seems most interesting at the moment. (Edit: And check the wiki to be sure if you aren't sure of or don't know what NPCs you can lose access to. Otherwise, if you run into a missing NPC, contact a GM and wait for him/her/them to fix it for you.) Edited September 8 by Rudra 1

Oh yeah, I can completely understand them disappearing from the main overworld for the sake on continuity. But I feel a smidge cheated when I'm in a flashback that requires them and they've gone on holiday, lol.
