Can I change my Hero's name?

Is there a way to change a character's name? I thought, and I may be wrong, back when the game was first out there was a service one could buy (in game or as a service on the client's website), a token or some such, for altering the character's name.

Yes, there is!  At the character select screen, in the upper right, there's an icon that looks like a a pencil touching paper.  It should say "Rename this character", (see below).  Hope that help!
