Shock Treatment refuses to betray me

In the Rogue alignment tip mission 'Steal the stolen items!' from the 'Auction Notice' tip, Shock Treatment tells me that she's going to kill me, but then fails to change alignments:

 

 

She accompanied me for the rest of the mission.

 

Interestingly, she showed as 'Orange' alignment while hostage to the Wyvern agents in the mission, and actually got debuffed when I used Devour Psyche against them, although she didn't attack me then, either.

Particularly in red side tip missions, NPC allies you have to rescue show as orange and can be attacked by you, but won't attack you. For those that can't deal with Shock Treatment's betrayal, this means you can defeat her early for full xp and inf' by taking her down as part of freeing her and it won't cause that specific mission to fail.

Normally, the way to get Shock Treatment to not betray you on that mission is clear near her but not free her, then go towards the actual mission objective. Her betrayal will trigger and she will defeat one of her captors, usually a minion. After which she can be freed and will not betray you because the betrayal trigger already happened before she was your ally. I think your specific case is an infrequent fail in the mission. I would recommend trying the mission again, you can buy it from a SG Mission Computer or Oracle. See if she consistently fails to betray you when doing the mission as laid out or if she more frequently betrays you like she is supposed to.

 

Edit: Oh, yeah! There is another thing that causes her to not betray you when the betrayal is triggered. In your screenshot, you are stealthed. If Shock Treatment can't detect you, her betrayal trigger activates and fails. Usually this happens to me if I get too far away from her during combat near the trigger point. However, there have been a few times when her betrayal triggered and I was nearby stealthed and she just stood there doing nothing. After her betrayal trigger though, she does not follow me around any more or fight any mobs that show up even when they stand right next to her. (They don't attack her either, so....) (Edit again: And yes, every time she fails to aggro on me for any reason, she returns to being blue. It's weird watching her go orange as hostile when the betrayal triggers, and then just a little bit later she goes blue again if we don't fight.)
