Patron Pool Unlock Question

Can a level 34 character join someone else's mission to get the badge and unlock the patron pools, in order to be able to choose a patron power at level 35?

 

If that doesn't work, can a character who has dinged 35 but not yet trained join someone and get the badge, so they can choose a patron power when they train?

I believe you can get the PPP unlock whatever level you are if you are sidekicked to somebody who has the mission itself. If you're on the mission owner's team, you get  the reward.

You can be sk'd to the mission leader at level 1 and you'll still get the badge.

 

Alternately, yes, you gain access to the arc if you are level 35 but haven't trained up yet.

Also worth noting that sometimes people doing the unlock mission will occasionally call out in chat in case others want to join them!
