Water/kin/mace: The do (almost) any content comfortably build

Recommended Posts

After seeing the awesome fire/kin/dark build a couple weeks back, I thought I would share the build I have been loving to play. I did not come up with this build. That credit goes to Odinsyre. But, I have been playing this extensively and -- after some practice -- I feel comfortable handling the majority of the content in the game. The biggest issue I have is endurance. While that is solved with transference, it can be a pain when it misses.

  • Perma-hasten
  • Almost always at damage cap assuming a quick team
  • Capped def to all. High resist to all. High survivability

  • Low single target damage. Much more suited to clearing big mobs
  • Reliance on transference
  • Water combos can sometimes be annoying

My rotation for mobs is:

1. Leeroy jenkins into it

2. Pop fulcrum shift

3. Throw down whirlpool for the -def

4. Activate geyser and see all the mobs do a backflip.

5. By this point usually everything except for 2 bosses and a weak lieutenant is left standing

6. Hit a few siphon speeds, water jet, and steam sprays to finish everything off.

It is important to keep hitting siphon speeds and ensuring you are activating your hybrid and destiny incarnates off cooldown.

If you don't want to download the pines link, here is an image showing totals and slots:

Of course, the totals are with both Barrier and Melee incarnates on. However, I thought this would be okay because I almost always have them on in combat.

Please let me know your thoughts on this build. I know it can be better but just thought I would share

I am no expert on any build but i have some questions regarding this build. First off, if you ever want to do low level content than you should switch some of the powers. I would allways take speed boost at 20 and fulcrum shift at 38.

For the endurance problem: if you find yourself low on endurance just because a transference missed, you could:

1. Slot Performance shifter into stamina

2. Slot Performance shifter into speed boost

3. Drop Focused Accuracy and take Tactics instead (For the Gaus Set ofc) and slot Kismet 6% anywhere.

Focused Accuracy is very expansive to Endurance and if you want to hit stuff reliable and get hold of the sweet Gaus Set Bonuses than you could grab tactics. Also there is a unique IO that gives 6% to hit to all powers.

To get more slots you could take a look at enhancement boosters. As far as i know you can get perma hasten with only one Recharge Reducer that has been pimped. Same goes for Fulcrum Shift.

For the gameplay of this alt: Are you kintic with blasts or are you a blaster with buffs?

If you ate a kinetic with blasts i think you can drop steam spray for another power maybe from leadership?

If you are a blaster with buffs. Drop steam spray and get aquabolt early in leveling. It will help speed up tidal force gain dramatically.

Point is, drop Steam spray it is not great.

I hope some of my thoughts and questions help you.
