Minimal FX for more powers

I love powers like Rad Armor and Fiery Aura but for powers like this that are fx heavy it makes it really hard to see your character, and if you want to have another aura affect they can make them unnoticeable, is there anyway to add more of the minimal fx choice to powers like these?
