sherlockiama
Hi folks, just looking for general information on building a Bots/Nature MM. I'll certainly look at builds if they are posted. I guess I'm looking more for what powers to take and avoid more than anything else. I chose Nature for something different, it might be a mistake but one never knows unless they try. Thank you in advance.
Clave Dark 5
This may not help too much, but: I've got a Merc/Nature at 25th right now. Mercs being a bit squishie as they are, I found Nature to be slow going at first, but that might be my fault as I was also chasing the pet powers and some other power pools and may have slept on getting the good Nature powers as early as I should have. Don't make my mistakes! I've heard that there's little skippable in Nature and so far it seems like it, they're all pretty decent (personally I might skip Wild Growth, but I haven't tried slotting it up much yet either; apparently once it is slotted up later, it's great) and what I've been lead to believe from these forums agrees with that. Life-giving Spores was a game changer for me for the set, so grab it as soon as you can. The heal Regrowth struck me as sort of weak and it takes time to get used to the cone nature of it, so be ready to spam it and to get used to learning how to cone it properly. kelly Rocket
DO NOT SKIP WILD GROWTH. Slotted, it's a 17-18% Resist (All). And you do want to slot it for resist. It's fully half of your mitigation kit as a /Nature user (The other half being Spore Cloud). Entangling aura also helps a little later, but those two are your main mitigation kit.

I do have some more advice for sherlockiama: I saw someone mention this tactic and it seems to be fairly sound and workable, even for ranged attackers like bots (Mercs of course tend to rush in like fools, so this would probably apply for Beasts and Ninjas as well). When you cast Life-Giving Spores, it doesn't aggro your foes, so cast it right under their feet before you do anything to aggro them. Next I go with Spore Cloud and Corrosive Enzymes, by which point they're well and properly annoyed with me, so then I soak up the alpha and that sets off the pets because I'm in bodyguard mode. So now I can just stand in back and watch them take care of the foes, ready to cast that cone heal as needed. Ragweed
You could take my Beast/Nature build and swap out Superior Mark of Supremacy Pet +Resist/+Regen under Assault Bot for Overwhelming Force KB to KD enhancement, sprinkle a little of this here and a little there...like this. Unknown Magi
I've been testing and tweaking a Bots/Nature myself. I'm including the fully-slotted build below; this build was tested on Beta server and worked quite well. Successfully solo'd AVs, farmed +4x8 with no issues (albeit not the fastest), and solo'd Lusca. If anyone sees any significant improvements, let me know, I'm still tweaking! The gist of it is to acquire perma-hasten in order to make Wild Growth and Overgrowth approximately permanent. With the various buffs, pets have plenty of damage mitigation to survive even tanking GMs, and your heals will cover RNG hatred. Note that the build as listed has Paralytic Core Flawless Interface, for farming; for GMs/AVs, it is strongly recommended to swap to Diamagnetic Radial Flawless for the additonal -regen as I found that Spore Cloud alone wasn't enough in that regard.
