    How about several badges?

100 Frostlings defeated - Coal in my Stocking?

250 Frostlings defeated - Naughty can be Ice

500 Frostlings defeated - Snow Cones for Everyone!

1000 Frostlings defeated - Snowplow of Justice

I was thinking that as I was farming presents the other day. But you have to realise one thing - if 1000 thousand frostlings lead to a badge the whiners are going to have 1 less thing to whine about, unless they start whining about too many people opening presents to clear frostlings (don't say you weren't warned). I for one though am all for those badges to be implemented.

  2. I have a few parked that have never left Outbreak. Many at all levels and some get moved further to the right of the character list the less I play with them. I don't know if they are abandoned until I delete them. But as has been said, why delete if there is a smidgen of hope for them with 1000 slots per account? Even so, several poor choices have been deleted.

Probably not a popular opinion (and don't really care) but my wife and I left due to bad interactions with other players who behave like asshats and/or how some people behave on forums...

About the middle of 2023 I experienced a raft  of nasty, mean, abusive players and got so miffed that I took a 3 month break. When I came back I didn't encounter them again. I know the reasons we were suddenly invaded by a bunch of cretins but now I think they have all left. If the player base descends once again to that level I will probably go on another hiatus.

I've been hearing talk of this for like two years now, I don't think we have anything to worry about.

Haha, I heard this in the Winter of 2019 - the first Winter after HC launched ! Y'know what - population has never dwindled from the average in those 4 years. Sure there have been quieter times but then there have been busier times. It remains at a mean level in my experience.

Some may never show up in that thread when they exit. They will simply no longer login and noone will know what happened to them one way or the other.

As is the inevitable destination for ourselves and everyone we know. For example - how many normal people are known from 1000 years ago. One of my favourite quotes is "life, nobody gets out alive." I have zero idea why people avoid the issue which connects each of us to the other. And because it does I have every idea how valuable life is to myself and you. If more people knew it, our world would be a better place. One thing is for sure, if I make my small part of it a better place, well, that's a start.

  6. Yes ... & no .

Gaming communities are transient, always have been. But exponentially more so the older and the wider that gaming media evolves. This game has it's devotees, some stay without a break. Others I have seen take 6 months or a year out. Now that gaming is so vast and we all get new shinys for festivities they are bound to draw some from our established community for a while, for good or for a minute.

Social obligations are brought with the Winter solstice which means less expendable time for personal activities. But rest assured, already people are beckoning for the Valentines event and when that happens more will return.

Eddie the Eagle.  Olympic Athlete whose greatest strength was sheer courage.  Not daunted by lack of great athleticism or skill, facilities or equipment, this man would ski jump (erm attempt) on any platform that any other world champion would go down.  What can I say, crazy is a super power.  My eternal respect Eddie.

As a Great British underdog we loved Eddie, still do. He provoked a national pride for our tiny nation.

  8. Each run of Death From Below provides 5 'on level' SOs. I run it for fun at all levels, I run it to make up a full team any level.

My 4.5 years with Homecoming has mustered 4 accounts, 125 Alts and billions of INF (90% of which are Dbl XP users) ALL started out as a single character with ZERO INF. Best way to earn is the Auction House (I find). End game TF/SF/INC earn heaps of INF. KMITF earns heaps of INF. There are so many ways to earn INF and get SOs for free.
