  3. Hello,

     

    I'm usually a melee player, and so when it came time to try some ranged/blasting type stuff, I naturally gravitated towards Sentinel.  I was looking at Sonic blast, and while I know its not the best damaging set, it looks like I can make it a semi controller?  Am I wrong?

     

    Howl with Ragnarok's KD proc

    Shockwave with KB to KD

    Psy shockwave with Avalanche's KD proc

     

    and then we have the disorients from Screech and Wail.

     

    Is this trying to hard to twist the set into something its not?  Would I just be better focusing on damage procs to crank the pew pew?

     

    This was something I tossed together quick to check on possibilities, keeping the capped defenses and decent S/L res

    It just seemed like you wouldnt get that much ROI for the slots.  2 slots for 14 damage or 6 for like 35... 4 slots for 20 damage seemed like I could do better elsewhere.  I was tempted to drop to 1 end red once I got incarnates and better end management.

    I've never tried Dark Armor or Martial arts, and word on the streets is they can work decent together.  Trolling through MIDS on my lunch break and I can see why, and I think I've found my next character.  So now I'm looking for help with the build, ways to refine or better slotting options for powers.

After coming back to the game recently, I learned about Tanker Tuesdays and popped in on my first one last night.  Much fun was had, even after getting dropped like 7 times.  Since I now apparently have a reasonably high level tanker, I figured I'd work on a build for it.  My goal is soft capped S/L/melee defenses, 50% resistance to everything after the tanker ATO, and as much recharge as I can muster.  Below is what I tossed together, and I'm hoping to get ideas for any refinement/better slotting options.

  8. So I recently came back after a few years away from HC, and wanted to dive into tanking.  Radiation Armor was recommended for a strong tanker defense set, and I loved my claws scrapper on live back in the day, so I thought I'd try a Rad/Claws tanker on my return.

     

    I was hoping to keep alternating Meltdown/Rune of Protection so that I would have nearly capped resistances to everything, but I cant quite do it.  I also am not sure about slotting procs since it seems a lot of people recommend slotting procs into a lot of claws attacks.
