  1. Odd.  I usually park myself on top of the ferry and just got the badge last night on one of my chars.  If you are blue side, you won't get the badge, but you will see progress and if you hover over the badge, will see how much is filled.  If it does not show anything with the bar full, you'll get the badge when you switch alignment to red.

Though doesn't sound like you're getting progress at all.  Do you see the dayjob in your effects?  (What the heck is that called under your status bar?  (coffee deprived)

  2. Pretty much what Flea said.   Any of my characters that I've worked any of the accolades in, had the LRTP already on login.  And had most of the zones that they had been doing missions in.  I will have to say if you're doing redside, a zone accolade is a bit slower to get than say a jaunt around Atlas.  It's still not a huge deal, and less than any of the stat enhancing accolades.

All in all, I'm glad they put in so much work into enhancing travel instead of just disabling enterbasefrompasscode

  3. Got it with my badger who is also going thru all arcs, so had everything in hand before doing this.  (Currently have 9 arcs left blue side,  not doing it very quickly, but it is making me appreciate a lot of the newer arcs cleaner writing)

  4. This will not be incredibly detailed, but I'll want to come back to the subject later. Great thread that I'll need to go back to read it again

These are the sentinals I've made, all reached 50, very few sets done, but at least full generic IOs

    • Ms. Blazer: Fire/Radiation   Survivable and fun to play
    • Radiation Lass: Radiation/Regen Another strong pairing
    • Ms. Plastique:  Dual Pistols/Will Power   Not the most damaging, but interesting to play
    • Ms. Andromeda: Elec/Energy Aura   Sorta meh, but need to play around with her more.   Disappointed that EA doesn't give invis.  (why do brutes get it, but not sents?)
    • Mr. Impervious: Beam Rifle/Inv  beam rifle is fun and invuln does a good job
    • 22 div 7: Water/Electric  I did not have as much fun, but could use revisiting
    • Holiday in Cambodia: AR/Super Reflex   Not as thrilled with AR, but Super Reflex works well.
    • Frozen Brain: Psychic/Ice  I had issues with this one.  I'll give him a respec and outfit him better
    • Lucky Number: Sonic/Bio   Good sets, haven't played as much with her since 50, but fairly flexible
    • Vera Gemini: Dark/Dark  A lot of potential in this one.  Currently in the needs to be slotted, but respecced
    • Low Budget: Ice/Fire  Only at level 23, but other than no KB resist, is fun.  Embrace being a toggle is interesting for some added damage.  Will see how they are at level 50.

Still have a Archery and Ninjitsu, left.  Will probably do a comparison with my blaster.

Then we'll check some other combos, but after I get my last batch of chars to 50.

If i'm not mistaken, you can't normally activate tips inside Pocket D; most of the alignment tips won't let you open them in co-op, PvP or hazard zones.  You're probably seeing an oversight in which the Whispered Rumor isn't subject to that restriction (it can be used in any non-PvP zone; I usually run mine out of Kalisti Wharf) and the mission can choose any applicable door in the zone.  Why it would send you up the elevator is the strange part however as there shouldn't be any mission-enabled doors up there to begin with.

Yep. Just confirmed that alignment tips don't work in Pocket D.

And it turned out the door was inside anyway, but wanted me to use the elevator first.

So only a possible problem with event tips.

  6. Need to test this on a non-halloween tip, but if you are a villain and open up a tip, the location can be set to be down the Hero elevator which you can't go down.

I then set my alignment to Rogue, and when I went down the elevator, it then had me go back up the elevator and the mission door was at the portal at the top of the ramp, blue side.

So, minor bug with several work arounds.  (Change alignment easiest)

@Blyzzard From your screenshot we can tell that it's an issue with the accented e in the path you have the game installed (C:\Users\Médiacenter\...). The game historically has very poor support for international character sets, but some like é that are in the system ANSI codepage are normally ok.

There is new code in the works to fix this and work with any valid Unicode characters in paths, but it's not hooked up to everything yet and a lot of the old code is still there. The last patch extended it to more of the game, but there was a problem with the interface between the old and new, which broke paths that used to work.

Last night I was leading a ToT league in Peregrine and everyone in the league got disconnected from the server.  I "think" it happened when I invited a character with the name "Cap 'N  <something>" and when we were reforming, I tried inviting that char again, everyone disconnected.  I was going to make sure I had the name down when it came up a third time, but I think they gave up.  And we didn't crash the rest of the night.

No idea if that is even semi-related to the problem with unicode.

The badge "watchful eyes" in Founder's Falls (#5 in vidiotmaps) will not award.  I've tried logging off and on, rebooting, zoning in and out, but nothing works.

Just logged in a char without it and it rewarded fine.  It would be between Losing Paradise and Hamidon's Fury.  Maybe you already have it?

Then there is the actual COH RPG game that I have seen reference to floating around the internet...but from what I saw, it wasn't fully fleshed out.

short form; never got released because cryptic sold coh to ncsoft

  10. I played Champions from first edition and while I'm out of practice, I could probably still get a character written up in 20 minutes.

While I haven't had a chance to run it yet, Prowlers & Prowlers Ultimate Edition reminds me of the old days of Champions in presentation and such. Probably because it's got a few old school Hero people involved.  Unfortunately real life has interfered with the release, but they seem to be close and they do have a waiting room edition.

I am friends with the staff, but no other connection other than wanting them to succeed and I do like their game.

  11. Out of 59 chars, four have all T4s, but my badger has quite a few varieties to use.

50 of them are level 50 and I have been recently working on getting them more complete.   And am toying with a DB to track stuff.  The spreadsheet is getting unwieldy.

36 of my chars have finished all their dayjobs though...

The last time I saw Veracor on Everlasting, he had 3017 vet levels.

The immediate priority after training to 50 is to do Mender Ramiel's arc to unlock the Alpha slot.

Once you unlock that, you start earning XP to unlock the next two incarnate slots.  Otherwise the XP goes toward unlocking the Alpha.

Ramiel's arc takes 20-30 minutes but one mission is a challenge for most AT's to solo (fighting END-draining Captain Holtz and The Honoree at the same time).

if you happen to get in an itf at level 48/49 it's feasible to get to 50 before the final mission and get the alpha slot during it.  (Especially on the +4 kill most versions)

The Holtz/Honoree can be a bear.   I've solo'd them with brutes/scrappers/tanks usually easily.   Some sentinel combos worked.  My Elec/Martial blaster had a surprisingly easy time of it.   These were all with generic IOs.  Set chars will probably have an easier time of it.

  13. Was feeling lazy while getting day jobs and moving from Psychologist (Mother of Mercy)  to Survivalist (Ellentown) in First Ward decided just to take the fast route via the hospital by running into the field repel by going due west from the hospital. Got "Denial of Service"

So far, been able to repeat it twice.

  14. It's one of my favourite secondaries.   Tried Electric, Energy, and Dual Pistols.    My Energy one was a Blapper KB monster (not great for some teams 😉 ) and Electric seemed the most survivable.   Did the Alpha Slot mission with her and had the easiest time with Honoree & Captain.  (Even more so than my Brute & Scrapper chars)

  15. If you log out in the Pocket D Vault and are in the -210 to -212, 0, -750 range, when you log back in you are under the stairs on the other side of the wall. Location -186, 0, -740

So if you're going for Banker/Thief you get time served for Clubber instead.

Minor bug, easy work around, so just noting it for your copious spare time.
