Giving soul consumption to controllers is a strange move, especially when they already have plenty of options for healing and end recovery. If you were to pair this with Soul Absorption from Dark Affinity, it seems like a strange move. It would be better to give them a ranged aoe attack instead.

on Dominators though, this is a great selection. To the point id be stuck with which powers not to take!

Ice Mastery for Def & corr, why include build up? Flash Freeze? No, how about Ice Slick? or Frozen Aura?

Spirit Drain? ABSOLUTELY NOT! This is an awful idea! Leave Soul Drain alone!!!

They already get Consumption in Fire(Flame) Mastery, and Conserve Power in Primary Forces Mastery. There is precedence.

    Honestly, a set that was

    - End Mod

    - End Mod/End Redux

    - End Mod/Recharge

    - EndRedux

    - Recharge

    And then either

    - End Mod / End Redux / Recharge

    - a proc

Would be pretty nice. It wouldn't even have to be a damage proc, being able to slot Power Sink with a chance for knockdown proc would be pretty fun.

For set bonuses you could probably do something like

    Rare

    2) 2.5% Recovery

    3) 1.88% MaxHP or 1.8% MaxEnd

    4) 3% Resistance (Smashing, Lethal)

    5) 5% Rech (to make it slightly better than Efficacy Adaptor but slightly worse than Synapse's Shock)

    6) 3.75% Defense Melee, 1.88% Defense (Smashing), 1.88% Defense (Lethal)

This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for.

  3. I would like to toss a hat in the ring for an EndMoD set or two, specifically for EndMod Powers that don't do damage and may not require ToHit checks. Power Sink, Energy Drain, Energy Absorption, Recovery Aura, Seishinteki Kyoyo(VERY MUCH), and the like. I may not be the first to ask. I'm basically looking for a mirror the the Healing Sets.

I could be wrong.  But if you're at 41% before Guarded Spin, you should be capping the +0 EB at around 6 or 7 % .   Were you getting hit more than that?  I know what when I fight the hydra in the sewer, on Tin/Plex, it hits my /SR like I'm naked.

What sucks for /SR is that even if you're getting +DEF, you're not getting any scaling +RES to the damage.  So with /SR, you're generally used to that last sliver of health lasting a long time.  But vs toxic or psi, you die real quickly.  Especially if they use Build Up and hit you with a big hit.  That toxic will melt  /SR

I actually checked my combat log. The Hyrda tentacles around the pylons didn't have ToHit rolls. Bad time for all of my SR, EA, and NIN characters.

Unfortunately, unlike Crey that are all over the Dr. Q task force among others, there is no task force that involves Carnies aside from a single mission in Ice Mistral (technically Vanessa appears in Kahn, but she doesn't actually share the lethal vulnerability). So the only place lethal damage actually shines is nearly nonexistent in task force content.

Why is OP trying solo a TF full of lethal-resisting enemies, while using what seems the be the worst blaster primary? I'm not going to solo a group that's gonna walk on me. OP basically chose hard mode.

Yes, that would be the design intention.  I'm questioning whether that design decision is valid.

This is... the kind of argument I'd expect if I was complaining about not being able to solo AVs, or Hardmode TFs, or Trials.  Not the kind of thing I would expect to be said about facing a standard enemy group.

Take that same INV tank through Carnival of Shadows bosses and get back to me.

(Edit: This Came off as ridiculous and snobby. Let's try again.)

Archery is at the bottom of pylon testing, and you're fighting a group that has high lethal resists. You're having a bad time. I would be having the same bad time if I took a Psy/Inv scrapper the see the Carnival of Shadows. If I took my BS/WP scrapper through what you were doing, he would be having the same bad day, but If I took him through CoS, he would laugh his way though groups. What i'm saying, is that you need to pick your battles. Recognize what enemy groups are going to give you a hard time and plan for it.

So... running a solo Dr. Q. (WST) as an Archery/Ice/Fire blaster.  Can we please get a look at the balancing of level 45+ Crey?  They're brutal as a nearly pure Lethal build.  Literally every enemy in the group has 50% Lethal resistance, which makes them take significantly longer to drop than any other group.  (Which also makes them *much* more dangerous for my build, since I've somewhat low defenses...).

They're not a problem below that level, since the majority of them don't have Lethal Resist.  It's just that, starting at 45, they're all "Tanks" (and the Paragon Protectors become Elites, which grants 50% Lethal resist as well...)

The Crey Tanks, that are all wearing standard Crey-issued power armor, for the purpose of being resistant to conventional weapons, have high lethal resist? I think that might be design intention. Not every powerset combination is going to be able to beat every enemy type. That's just life. This is like someone running a perma-Unstoppable build(I know it isn't possible, anymore) and getting mad when they can't solo the Abandoned Sewer Trial.

I’m leveling up a Symph/Dark (Killashandra Ree) myself, and while I haven’t gotten into end game slotting stages (17 atm), I had a few things that jumped out at me.

    1. WotC on Aria, the /immob cone? This is a damage power. Rech is too fast for procs to work well, but straight damage is worth it.

    2. Ice blast instead of Frost Breath cone? This is a cone heavy set, and while it’s not wide, Frost Breath should mesh well.

Very much enjoying this combo. I chose it because I know /Dark very well so that primary should be the focus, plus I think they pair quite well. Looking forward to seeing the Symph pet in action and pairing with Fluffy to see how well they synergize.

May go with leviathan instead of Ice as the epic, like lce a lot though, and having another + Def power is nice with /Dark. Hibernate is a great panic button when you need one too…

Wait? A Crystal Singer fan? In the wild?

Where is this AV running away?  Maybe one AV ran away when I soloed them (Swan counterpart I think it was) with my EM/Regen (no taunt aura), but for most of them, they stayed right in melee beating back on me.

Mary MacComber is infamous for running from everything.

  10. As mentioned earlier, make sure you take Taunt.

-100.00%% strength to range for 20.00s on target Ignores buffs and enhancements.

That range penalty forces the enemies to leave other targets alone and close on you. That helps a lot with aggro control.

    There are no awful combinations

Um. I have an Elec/Psi blaster that I love, ported over from live as a semi Static Shock knockoff. He is going to have a bad time at the with various enemies resisting him. I'm still going to have fun, but I know up front his combination in easily in the bottom half.
