    I don't bother with Brimstone or Crystal at all - but I slot the heck out of Rooted and EE, and built for perma-Hasten outside of Granite, to keep EE's health bonus up as much as possible. And I built to soft-cap psi defense with Minerals up (which isn't hard...), since there's nothing more embarrassing than a granite tank getting smoked by a bunch of Wisps or those floating idiots from Praetoria. I don't think I've turned Granite on at all in a Shard TF.

     

    I'm also a fan of Teleport. Shift+LButton is my best friend.

     

    It's a playstyle difference, in the end. You can definitely build a stoner to take advantage of def/res set bonuses. I just feel like the mitigation is good enough elsewhere, and there's enough Leadership floating around on any given team, that using set bonuses to counteract -spd, and give +regen, +HP, and +recharge, is more fun for me.

  2. Here is what I have been able to put together for this build. So far this combination is really promising! I would love to improve this. I neutered Shock and Galvanic sentinel since Darkness Control really needs lots of slots and procs to do its thing. I do think stun proc galvanic sentinel will be a lot of fun though. I have capped S/L resists and then some so there is definitely some room to clean that up but I lack the experience. I do not intend to solo very much at all as teams are the most fun in COH. I do want to be as effective as possible though! Any advice is appreciated. I do have this build at level 50 and I have some of the stuff planned out here but not all yet.

  3. I am currently working on this combination as well. I should hit 50 with mine tonight and it’s been a ton of fun. I don’t have a build yet really but i am trying to figure out what powers are skippable and what sets are good for electric affinity. Hoping someone more experienced weighs in. 

  4. Hey guys. Been loving playing the game again. I never played a controller as a youngin back on live so I would love some help with making him great. My power sets are Earth Control and Cold Domination. My main strategy is earthquake + quicksand + sleet + ice storm from the cold mastery epic pool. From there I go stalagmites and ST hold as needed. I like the big area denial and debuff side of control. I can't really do a lot of damage as it stands. I leveled with arcane bolt but it really seems to have a long activation time. My single target debuff game with infrigidate and benumb crushes. I would also like to give my allies pretty good ice shields too and I dont really know where to start with that, much less picking the best control enhancement sets for these goals. 

     


    I skipped the single target immob, salt crystals (PBAoE sleep, not trying to be that close), Hoarfrost, and Snow Storm. I wanted to get super speed, hasten, recall friend (to stealth missions with arctic frost + super speed), and maneuvers (LotG mule). I got tough and weave but right now I can't sustain the endurance cost. If I you guys don't think I will need them I can be convinced to drop them for sure.
