  1. Found this in wiki....

"A global chat handle may be changed at any time, however, please note! A player may only change his or her global chat handle once per account. There are no exceptions to this rule. Once a new global chat handle is selected, it may never be changed again."

...interesting since I did the same thing and was wondering why I wasn't getting global friend requests from my friends who I texted my name to.  Looked it up and realized like you I made it something different.  Went ahead and changed it, not realizing that was my one and only shot.

  2. About one out of every 10 logins I get to that page and hit agree and it acts like it will take me to the server screen and does not.  You can see it register the click, and the music stops, but then the music starts back up 2 seconds later, have to go back out to login and try and again for it to work.  Strange.

Extremely Unclear Legal Absurdity - Just click it  :D

  3. When I first downloaded the same thing happened to me, found this, it worked....

So here's how to fix this resolution issue:

Go to your installation folder. Right Click the Score.exe and select properties.

Select the Compatibility tab and select the 'change high DPI settings'.

A window will pop up and select both of the boxes and hit OK.

    And that's it!

  4. Elecom EX-G M-XT3UR trackball. I've used trackballs with my computers since before I started playing CoH. Originally Logitech Trackman, then Trackman Marble, and then Logitech went wireless or to different ergonomics that didn't feel right, so I investigated a couple of different varieties, and that's what I wound up with.

I too used to be a trackballer and may have to go back in this direction, thanks for the nudge.

I'm currently using the Logitech POS  ::)

  5. Can anyone give me some general slotting advice for regen?  More interested in how many slots you think the powers need including the passives and not so much what to slot.  Any help is appreciated, i thought Regen used to seem to have lots of End issues, so for example, how many for Quick Recovery? Slot stamina?  Older player but quit some years before the doors closed, back and a little overwhelmed with changes so any general help is appreciated!

  6. After running DFB on every alt for my first week, I've decided to slow it down and smell the roses like I used to.  So I create, skip the tutorial, enter atlas, hit P2W, and then head to Prometheus Park to kill Hellions for my first couple levels.  Then it's on a to a contact to get started.  I left before the end of the game and there is honestly so much new to me all those fast levels in DFB made me feel like I'm missing something.  Yes it's good leveling, has temp powers, and badges, but I just need to slow down and enjoy things and Hollows is one of those places.  Just wish it wasn't a ghost town like the OP said.

  7. I touched on this before, but just to make certain we're all on the same page: Enhancement Diversification is the name of a weird thing that happens to enhancements as you slot them. The more you have, the less effective they are. Hypothetically, say you slot a an IO that boosts a power by 50%. If you slot a second one, it'll only boost the power by about 40%. The third will only give you about a ~15% boost. It does its best to keep you from reaching 100% enhancement. Now, this doesn't always work, and it is possible to get over that cap, but it's really hard, usually requiring Rare or Very rare enhancement sets. So as a general rule, don't slot a power with more than 3 of the same thing.

It's been a while since ED, so long you hear it on the television and it means something different.

Thanks for the reminder above I do appreciate it :)

  8. You can modify your reputation so even solo you can face mobs as a team of 8.

Maybe a stupid question, how is what you mention above done?

Who you talk to depends on if you're a Hero or a Villain.

But there's an NPC you talk to, that adjusts your Notoriety.  You can set it so that Door Missions spawn as if you level was -1 to +4 compared to what you actually are, and so that the minimum team size is anywhere from just you (x1) up to a full eight members (x8).

Two people, same mission; one is at -1/x0 - most of the enemies will con Blue, some White, and an occasional Lieutenant might be Yellow.  The other is at +4/x8.  EVERYTHING IS RED AND PURPLE, and there's six or more times as many of those things.  :)

You don’t even need to see a NPC.  In you chat bar, where you type is a little chat icon.  Press the icon and you get the Notoriety menu

    • You can set the mob size
    • You can set the difficulty level of mobs
    • Whether you want to face bosses or not
    • whether you want to face AV’s in missions at an AV level or Elite Boss

    Thanks so much for this!
