  1. It literally just happened again.  on the Homecoming crash Handler I chose the send a crash report with memory dump

    only difference I noticed this time was that I was afk this time I wasn't actually playing.  Not sure if that effects anything or not. I know you will get kicked for afk to long but don't think you would get a the Homecoming crash handler for getting kicked sense you should technically be still logged into the server.

    Try setting Afterburner to a default profile, just to see if the problem persists. CoH doesn't need overclocking anyway!

    I will try turning afterburner to default. Mostly use it for fans speed control and on screen display from Riva tuner . 3080TI with a 5950x dont really need to OC for COH lol

    So, when you crash, the game doesn't log your character out. The server doesn't know you had a software issue on your side until it can't communicate with your client anymore. Usually trying to log back in a second time will get you back in.

    As for the crash dumps, have you been submitting them? If you want, I can make sure someone takes a look; PM me with a crash dump (Don't post it in the thread, it may have personal identity info on it). You can find it in (Your HC directory)\crash. Just send the latest one.

    If you don't want to do that, fine! I would suggest fiddling with your graphics settings a bit. We've seen issues with the experimental Cel Shading option, so if you're using that, turn it off to see if that improves anything. If you're using HC Launcher, there's an option to "reset graphic on next run". Check that, and the game will automatically launch with minimal settings. You can turn these back up one by one to try and suss out the culprit. Make sure you UNcheck "Reset graphics on next run" before the following time that you play, or else it will re-reset your settings again!

    ...i hate that last sentence and wish I could think of a better way to have put that.

    But nonsense aside, wither PM me the crash report, or let us know how reconfigurating your settings goes for you!

     

     

    That is exactly what happens after crash 

    I have no problem DM'ing you the dump I will get on that asap. 

    I was not able to find the "Experimental Cel Shading" in the graphics and audio tab.  I did find a "Experimental graphics settings" witch was already disabled 

    I'll save the graphic reset on next run for a last resort as it sound time consuming. lol

  4. my coh homecoming game keeps crashing randomly. sometimes as soon as I log into the game with my char sometimes after 2 hrs of playing. I get the crash screen with dump file with crash report options and when I try to log back in it says that account is already logged on.  It is not a computer crash but a game crash. I have verified GPU driver is up to date and am at a loss.  It's been doing this for a few weeks now and as many as 5 times a day.  I'm at a loss and looking for some help.  Every other aspect of my computer works fine no other game crash but with that being said I dont play any other game as much as COH.

    any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. if there is a better spot for this thread plz let me know.

    I have 2 1TB 970 evo plus M.2 SSD I use one for OS and misc stuff and the second just for games.  Homecoming, FH4, and some steam games not many. 668GB free on game drive. but I guess it wouldn't take much space to reinstall Homecoming on C drive

    Thanks for the heads up... I wonder how this is going to change the farming hierarchy of builds.  maybe make a SS or a Shield farmer.

    Thank you for the build help.  Feel free to make any changes or tweak's to powersets or picks.  Im not a very good out the box thinker and it just blows me away with some of the stuff people come up with that I would NEVER would have even thought to put tougher.  

    I am looking for a more active build one that I want to have to actually play.  my current build is good afk and over time has gotten boring so instead of a respec I might to a Alt build so that I have a afk build that already works for me and then a active build for when im feeling board. 

    Maybe I'm cheating but when I AFK more then 30 min I turn on my mouse auto clicker for my heal so now I have 2 powers on auto.  with that combination and your regen I think you could fix your Death Sentence issue.

  9. This is my current Fire farm Rad/Fire.  Super durable. but after vet lvl 1100 im looking to change it up.  is there a way to get more damage out of this build? I know I went waaaaay overboard with end and health.  I can run active maps or afk for 30 min or 45 min and never have to worry.  I'm looking for a more active play style build with more damage.  I solo 99% of the time or I'm helping 1 other person PL.  I do not run large farm teams.  

     

    Feel free to have your way with the build, Show me what can be done,  let me know your thoughts and cost in not a concern he has built quite the savings for this remodel.

  10. trying to put together a new build for my Rad/Fire/Mu char.  I would like to try to get the most damage possible with out having to take the cardiac incarnate to help with end.  this is a solo farmer and does afk from time to time.  My current build is plenty tough and can afk with no problem but  if feel he is leaving a lot of potential damage on the table that could be utilized.  Ill post my build in a little bit. I don't have it on this comp atm.  How much +damage can be got in a build and still be playable?

This char can run 2* with easy but really struggles with 3* and 4*.  I know its called Hard Mode for a reason lol. my INV/SS just seems to have a much easier time with the higher diff.   It might just be that the INV is better suited for them over SR or maybe just happens to be bad choices on PUG.  I'm still kind of new to the SR type and am having tons of fun with FS.  My DDR is at 95% I felt I could take the Rebirth but just wanted to get thought on how to get more Damage resistance in the build if at all possible.

    Evasive maneuvers is a travel boost, it also enhances control while in flight. 
    These two alone are very valuable. 
    It also is a resist/prot vs anti-fly powers from enemy. 

    Also, you do not lose the defensive numbers if you are attacked. 
    You only lose if you are engaging at attacking them or if you buff your team or buff pets. 

    However, have you seen my videos ?

    While traveling in the ITF or in AEON or any other very hard content, the defense while traveling from one point to another is very very welcome, since it is one additional manner to help protect you while moving especially when moving for the sake of speed is needed. 
    The enemy can target you or attack you, as long as you are just traveling to the next spot, you are keeping those defense numbers. 


    That, again, is complemented by the movement boost provided.

    I guess my understanding of how Evasive Maneuvers works wasn't accurate. Again thank you for explaining it to me.

As I'm not the first to say it's a Awesome build and tyvm for sharing.  I was just wondering sense Evasive Maneuvers effects do not apply while in battle or while supporting the team you took it as a mule powers for LOYG? Taking Evasive Maneuvers out of the totals for real world application (not just standing idle) the Def number are mostly in the 20's with Energy and Negative at 39.8% and Ranged at 37.6%.  You've proven the build I'm not questioning it just making sure I'm understanding it correctly.  I saw that you were actually using it in your video.  Maybe I'm mistaken on how Evasive works but according to the description I don't think I am LOL.

    Influence is not a issue.... I have several char near inf. cap and multiple enhancement tables full of purples I can sell or convert. have no problem spending inf. that is why we farm lol. I am just looking for the best team support non solo focused build that people have seen or made or know of.

  16. looking to make a support Defender char to help out in the new ITF Hard Mode. I'm a old school empath from back in Live.  Haven't done much since then though lol.   Anyone have exp with ether one of these on a team aspect.  I do not plan to solo this char so the secondary is up for suggestions. I was thinking water or dark for the self heal but could really go any direction with it. I have little exp with FF and 0 with Time.  anyone have some sample build that are Team focused that would be awesome.  Overkill is what im looking for to help with the 3* and 4* difficulties.  Influence is not a concern (that is why we Farm right).  Thank you all for your help.

I've often wondered about this and just never asked.  By putting Entomb (and proc's in general)  in high frequency firing attacks aren't you lowering the effectiveness of it.  I mean I have attacks that literally recharge in under 1 sec and my AOE in 3 sec. with a PPM of 3 that means for the rest of the time the proc is useless. You can't control when the proc activates so there is risk involved on relying on it proc'ing when you need or want it to.  If it works for you and fits your playstyle that's awesome.  Maybe I just need to give them more of a chance, I would love to see you build and play around with it some because I do like what your saying,  I would have to make some serious changes to my build to accommodate 3 powers pics so I could get Unrelenting.

    I agree.  Mr. ITF has specifically run 207+ ITF's ( yes I count them. its his battle cry lol) with 0 deaths.  I totally expect to die a few if not several times my first Hard mode lol even at 1 star  when it goes live until I get a real fell for it.  Builds will be tested and pushed beyond limits witch will make ppl have to come up with new and unique way to exceed old limits.   I will be interested in seeing some of the new unconventional build combos that this is going to make ppl come up with.

    There's likely a lot of tank sets that could rock this well enough.  It's more about having a good toolkit of powers and build then being proactive and quickly reactive when need be.  

    I have a few Shield tanks at 50.  A SD/DM and a SD/psi IIR.  But Shield doesn't have a heal and I think that Super Reflexes has better -def resistance then shield.
