  1. IMO, the big thing that would get me back for longer would be some kind of content scaling. There's an awful lot of missions that I haven't done, but end up over-levelling while going through. Ouro is useful for that, but means that I'm then locked into that levelling chain - I can't then just pause it because an itrial I haven't done is forming or something similar. Equally, I don't love turning XP off, because a large part of my enjoyment is the progression of a character, and getting to a point where they do properly represent the concept behind them.

  2. I'd also like to say the Whirling Hands change is too much. Double damage may be too much, but instant recharge does very little on most Dom builds, and raises the issue of endurance as others have said. Because of CCs having high costs, a lot of Doms may already be struggling, and those that don't probably already have masses of recharge anyway.

I believe the IO enhances health regen (which on my tanker is 17%) and numina enhances the base regen (which is higher on my tanker at 42%). So, slotting a lvl 50 IO, i get 17% * 42% (lvl 50 IO enhance 42%, not the same 42% as my tanker base) = 7% increase in regen. When I unslot the lvl 50 IO and slot the numina plus 20% regen, i get 42% * 20% = 8% increase in regen. So, yes, Numina plus 20% is better and you get an additional 10% in recovery.

I thought the Numina was a FLAT 20%.

I'm gonna chime in too. If someone asks "what's good on a brute?" Then I doubt the player is all too concerned with concept for their character.

    Agreed.

Maybe there are more examples you could have used OP, but if someone is asking for feedback on powers, I don't think it's fair to say that people should pretend they have a wholly positive experience. I'd really hate if I asked for feedback and seomone gave me meaningless positive plantitudes. I know that i can do all the content with most powersets, it's about the ease of doing so, and what level I might be able to do it at.

Ultiamtely, if it is not against the ToS/CoC, they CAN say what they want. Being overly negative about powersets is not against either of those documents. It's hyperbolic, but ultimately it's just people's opinions. People can discuss how things would like to be changed even if those are done by another server, its a useful metric because it goes someway in showing what *is* possible.

I also have no idea why the fact that HC are still negotiating should be mentioned in these sorts of discussions. I'm glad they are, but its really just not relevant.

But if I do that, I lose the bird attack powers - which was my point in the post.

You actually keep the bird attacks. Unkindness (Ravens) is at level 10 (although the animation is a bit different), Call Hawk at 35 (which is a bit late, and then has a 14 second recharge).

Not exactly the same, but I thought it might be helpful to point out.

So I know you guys are being facetious, but honestly, 100 merits for a purple. Forget free purples once a year, you can get free purples once a day by just running a TinPex followed by a Yin TF.

Bam. Free purple, and it hardly takes more than an hour. 😜

Isn't there also the whole free Purple from Market Crash per char?

I'm going to disagree with some posters here and say I agree with you that Kheldians SHOULD gain more slots. In fact, I think Kheldians as a whole NEED a buff pretty badly because of their horrid ST capability. Their damage is very weak for their activation times. The perception of "feeling powerful" doesn't always translate to how powerful it actually is.

I can only speak for WS, but I would agree that the Archetype needs a pass. Not necessrialy a blanket buff, but some holes need to be filled in. There also an AT that really relies on being pretty well slotted out to be effective. Extra slots possibly would be a bit too much, but ATM they are too pure burst, and AoE burst dependent on lots of enemies in range (and dead enemies in range for healing).

It was a joke, kinda, but I'd say SO's themselves are significantly less immersion breaking then IO's.

Is there an in unvierse explanation for what IOs are? SOs are meant to be like, actual things (which is slighltly horrifying for mutant characters I would have thought since you are then basically just grafting random shit you got off an emeny on to your body...). I normally go Magic and just lol about having to carry 97 rings and amulets (were I to use SOs).

On topic: I wouldn't be opposed to something like this. Even if its just a rough description of whether that contact has a story arc and what it involves. Level ranges could also be useful (and wouldn't beak immersion).

Listen, like I said, it's clear what you want -- you want all the easy good stuff and you don't want to be bothered with the boring hard stuff.  That's fine--the world is full of people like you  But I don't believe that is conducive for "free" markets for salvage that you don't have any interest in.  That's also fine.  My belief that making salvage all or nothing as a solution to the OP's problem seems pretty healthy to me.  It would keep supply coming in for whites and yellows and would have very little effect on the supply of oranges.

How on earth is wanting to disable white salvage drops avoiding "boring hard stuff"?

Nor am I clear that "boring hard stuff" is something that should be kept for a leisure video game. Hard stuff, maybe. But it should be engaging, not boring.

I notice that a lot of the horror stories about the bad old days tend to focus on Luck Charms and Circuit Boards and forget about how cheap Kinetic Weapons and Spirit Thorns always were. Remember that binning works independently to eliminate those localized price spikes in lower-level salvage. You can't short the supply of Masterwork Weapons when every Fortune and Silver dumped on the market is working against you.

Thank you - this is what I was trying to get at with the end of my post but this is put far far better.

So, if I understand your position correctly, you want the prices to go up for everyone, because for you, it's not worth your time?

No, that is not my position. My position is that I don't believe the prices will go up because the people who would use this option already do not sell their salvage. The people who currently consider salvage worth selling will continue to do so and therefore there will always be a minimum amount in circulation, seeded or not.

If an option to reject the salvage is added, then if the price does increase, it will be minimal because as the price gets higher, it will be more profitable for people to undo the reject option and therefore sell it.

And finally, even if that is wrong, the price will always be hardcapped at 10k anyway. Unlike live, salvage is bucked by rarity and therefore you won't get the same price spikes or lack of supply for speciifc pieces.

Is there a significant hurdle to getting Scorpion Shield?  You can change your alignment in zero minutes, and Black Scorpion's patron arc can be easily run in an afternoon.

Hell, if you haven't auto-completed, set it to -1/1 and bash it out in 45 minutes.

I doubt this helps with min-maxers becauise if they wanted to min-max THAT badly then the patron path is barely a blip in the road.

Seeding is not keeping the prices down though.  Read the post from @Nanolathe.  Seed price for white salvage is around 10,000 inf.  Right now, most white salvage on the market goes for around 100 inf.  That is not seeding making prices go down.

I was referring to live prices where, anecdoctally, I heard salvage could go for 2mill+. As I said, it will keep the price down because it won't go beyond 10k, even if that is more than currently.

The reality is that it will always be less than that, since many people clealry feel very strongly about selling their white salvage.

Hell, if it is 10,000 a pop, I WOULD sell mine. And then others would do the same and it would be less.

I agree however there is no way to know what every individual would do for certain.   Given that seeding is dependent upon players to keep prices reasonable, I still do not think it is a good idea unless everyone is willing to go back to the insane prices we had on live.

Isn't this a bit disingenuous? Granted I don't know the live prices, but seeding WILL keep the prices down, even if they get more expensive than they are currently.

Also, if prices get more expensive, you may have people turning the option off if it becomes vaguely profitable and therefore increase the lower cost supply, whereas at the moment many just delete it.

IMHO, I wonder how much this whole debate is people who hate the concept of the p2w vendor and therefore reject any expansion of it whatsoever. I think that's understandable, but the devs have already set precedent for rejecting things by rarity type.

Haven't we somewhat agreed that it's better to spam the first three attacks than Concentrated Strike? Better damage, more stack building for AS, etc?

That's been my view from the forums. I can see CS being more useful solo though tbf.

I also really like the flow from using the first three attacks. Focused Burst is a nice thing to catch runners as even if it doesn't kill them outright if often knocks them. It also means you don't have to take a Villain pool to get a snipe. I'm liking Body Mastery as KM seems to use up a lot of end.

  16. I also vaguely see the rationale in this; at the moment it basically is an inherent because its a t0 that everyone does actually use and is a defining feature of the class. I do think it would be a bit too tricky to consider with balancing things though and likely take a lot of resoruces.

Also, if making it inherent would mean no power customisation, it's a hard no from me

  17. Given that most people are suggesting they don't even list their white salvage and instead delete it, I can't see that this would have a demonstrable impact on the market. Those who delete it now no longer have to waste time doing so (which CAN add up and is a frustrating element for no net gain), and those that want to sell it can sell it.
