  1. I have had a build on the back burner for a bots/traps/mu and I was wondering if this build is good enough to solo with on the 2/4 settings and maybe higher. I would like to know which aoe attack would be better to use static discharge or photon nade.  I took mu this time to have a mix of res/def and for the cages from mu.  This build I would to use for soloing and team task forces

     

    I just need to know what can I do to improve this build. On paper the build looks good and I know a few powers might be over slotted   and I would like to know what is the better way to slot poison trap and acid mortar. On acid mortar I put 4 slotted with 2 recharges lady grey proc and achilles heel proc PT has basilisks gaze 5 slotted.

  2. I have a lvl 50 poison/dark def now and I would like to get some input/advice on which power is better to use. I know with soul I get the power boost which helps in alot of ways, but dark has 2pbaoes plus get some stam back to which I like. Power boost on soul is so yummie to. This toon would be used for everything in pve. I'm second guessing myself on this and I leaning towards dark right now as my epic/app.

  3. I was looking at making a new troller with the poison power, but I don't know which power to pair it with. I was looking at plant, but yet dark, fire, earth look nice to. I would like a power that goes well with poison.  In your guys/gals opinion which power brings the best bang for the buck. I have read that plant is a power house all around and I know earth is a good power for lock downs and cc. What does dark bring to the table with poison and if I recall right fire with poison is just a weak version of the plant build.

     

    I have been over thinking this and I want to get back on the right on the road for this power set. All feed back, input, advice would be really helpful on this. Would levi epic power work with x/poison.?

  4. Hey thanks for the super feed back oldskool. I will get to work on the new build Friday night. I was going for a well rounded build, if it was possible guess not. I took lightning field just for a extra dps if they got close, but yea I don't need it.  I never been a fan of the hover blast thing so I will not go down that road on that , but I will drop Combat jump and pick up Manvs to see to how that goes I always go for CJ for the mule part of it plus the extra immob is nice. I will take power push and put the purple set in it and I will try to put in most of the tips you give in the next build.

  5. This is my try first at a Nrg/Da/Elc Sentinel. I was looking to get some feedback on this build to see what I can improve on. I did take fly in this build for a theme for this character. I did put 3 kb protection ios in this seeing that Da has no KB protection. I did try for a blend of a def/res with  dps and yes I know the slotting is somewhat oddball right now. I will be going back to fix it and make my slotting better for this build. On paper this build seems decent, but just looking for that extra feedback to help it make it better.

  6. I was looking to make a new character and I was thinking about the SoA, but I have heard feedback on banes, crabs, etc and all were good. I would like to try out a crabbermind, but I have a no clue on where to start for a build for one and plus I have no real time on one either. I did a SoA back on live but only like lvl 10.

     

    I was going to ask what the pros and  cons of a crabbermind for soloing, pve, tf's, av, gm. I would like to have a kick butt SoA, but I don't know if I should go crabbermind, plain old crabber or bane.  Can SoA handle 3/8 depending on crabbermind, plain old crab or bane. Does anyone have a good build for crabbermind and bane. Money is not a problem for me either at this time.

I was just wondering what is the pros and cons of a dark/dark/dark sent for overall gameplay and that includes pve, fighting av's, fighting gms, soloing, teaming.   I have never used this power set together before and on paper it sounds fun, but I would like to get input from ppl who've used this power set before or something close to it.  What are the key powers to take to have a strong d3 sent and are the sent ATO worth using. Does anyone have a good build that they are will to share either a poors man build or money hog build. Money is no problem for me. I did team with one the other night on a tf, but he would not share his build 😞 I can say I was very impress with the d3 sent.

  9. I was looking at making a new traps corrp toon. I have a fire/traps/flame corrp that I love to use with steam rolling teams so much fun. I would like to make another traps corrp, but I dont know which power to use with it. I was looking at water becasue of the aoes/heal, ice for the slow, dark for the -tohit debuffs and ar just lols. Out of those three powers which one would give me the best bang for my buck. This would be for teaming on pve missions and some farms. I was over thinking a few things on those powers just want somthing easy going that help can steam roll missions and farms.

     

    Was looking for some feedback/advice/input on this subject. Would dark mastery or pys mastery would be a good a call for my epic power.?

  10. Thanks for the heads up hejtmane. I have been playing coh from issue 0 just few a weeks after launch. I never got off my butt to really try out dark armor and then engy armor. Some of it was just being lazy and I had other characters I was playing. Again after doing some research and talking with other players I was going to give engy armor a run. So my plan is going with boardsword/engy armor/darkness mastery for this new character. So I was plan skipping the engy cloack and overload if i can. If not I will try and rework overload in my power set. This time i'm not going ot miss out.

  11. I was wondering if I could get some advice on you which power to use with boardsword. I was looking at Dark Armor and Engy Armor, but I have very little time using these powers and I have seen some good stuff done with Dark Armor, but I can say the samething about Engy Armor to. I was looking for the armor that would be better for the late game play, soloing pve, farming, tf's etc. Which one is better for overall game play and no PVP.

  12. I have never played a fire/shield brute yet. I have been wanting to make so I did and my character is lvl 50 but not level up yet.  I would like to ask a few questions about fire/shield power set and get some feed back about the power set and get some input from guys on my build.  Questions listed below

     

     

    1. Should I take Incinerate over Greater Fire Sword

     

    2. Should I 6 slot Fire Swrod Circle or keep it 5 slots

     

    3. On the True Grit power is better to slot it for Max hp, Res or do a hybrid of so many health io and then so many res io

     

    4. Is it a good idea to slot Shield charge with Superior avalanche

     

    5. Is having 61% res to s/l/f/c good enough for my res

     

    6.  For my def having the following numbers is it good enough for soloing on pve and farming both s/l and fire. My def to s/l is 36%, my def to f/c is 35%, and finally my def to melee is 54%, AoE 52%, Range 39%. This is without no incarnates either

     

    7. This is my first build for this power set is there anything that needs to fixed, changed, or replaced. All help would be great looking to forward to using this power set after its all done and decked out the right way

     

    8. With no healing power should I take the incarnate heal power or stay with ageless

  13. I have never played a sd/bs tanker before and I was wondering if this build would hold to up overall game play, late game play, s/l farm, and fire farm.  I got most of my def soft capped and I got s/l res at 75%, fire at 59%.  I was thinking of dropping  stealth, but my overall def goes down if I drop stealth for manvs. I am still trying to get my s/l/f res up alittle higher i'm shooting for 80% s/l and 60-65% fire res if it can happen.

  14. I was looking for some help with my poison/fire build. I have tried out the build on a few fire farms and s/l farms set at 4/8 on 6 person team. My guy did well after the brutes took most of the alpha shots after going in first. Theme for my character is the boomer from l4d2 trying to come as close to the boomer without breaking copright laws. It's hard to do I know. I have some questions about my build and just want to see what needs to be fixed replaced or redone.


    1. Should I drop two powers and pick up aid other/aid self


    2. Should I drop -resdebuffs in fireball and poison trap


    3. Should I keep fireball and rain of rain with there current io sets


    4. Should I put a 5th slot in vg with achilles heel


    5.  Should I keep poison trap as it is right now or reslot it


    6. Should I add more slots to weaken and envenom


    7. Should I keep health the way it is or add something to it


    8. Which incarnates should I take to make this guy a real good team player, but still be good at solo pve on weaker missions


    I really never have touched poison up until now and I was looking to get some feedback on this, because I really like poison/fire combo its fun. I was thinking of making a poison/beam or poison/rad if things turn out good my build is listed below

  15. I was thinking of making a spines/rad/mu or spines/rad/levi for something new and different to play. I was going to ask what are the pros and cons of spines/rad brute. Can this power set tackle 4/8 missions, tfs, gm runs and farms on both fire and s/l. I never have touch the rad armor pool so I was going to ask can a spines/rad be worth it.

  16. This character just made lvl 50 last night and I got this toon finally decked out in IO's now. My question is should I drop explosive arrow for blazing arrow and should I drop range shot for aimed shot. The reason I asked is so I can keep my attack chain going and only have rain of arrows, fist of arrows, soul drain and dark conp for my aoe attacks and use snap shot, aimed shot, blazing arrow as my single target attacks. This toon is being used as farming support toon on fire farm maps. My current build is listed below I would like to this toon is fun I have on this set up . 

     

    I was thinking about freeing up a slot and dropping the change for -res debuff off of dark con and either it putting in transference, cj with kisemet io, or putting a 6th slot on transfusion or 4th slot on fs with acc. Any help and advice would be great, because this is my first kin/arch ever in history.

  17. This is my first time ever making a fire/dark/fire troller and my first time to use the dark power on the troller side. I have the character at lvl 50 now and working on her incarnate powers. What I would like to do use her on a fire farms, s/l farms, standard game play and ITF's. This toon will be played mostly on teams and very little solo.  She has no io's at this time and I have about 800 million saved up for her. Will 800 million be enough for her because, I would like help on the 3/8 and 4/8 farms and missions.   Plus winter sets are a ton of money 😞

     

    In your opinion what the pros and cons of a fire/dark/fire troller.?

     

    I have seen some youtube videos of fire/dark trollers with epics like fire and pys who would just kick butt on a most missions that were 2/8. I did see one video of a guy using soul power from ghost widow who did a nice job on team support from a farm mission. I am guessing a good attack chain would be flash fire, fire cages, tar patch, soul absorption, fireball and repeat if you have  high recharge.  Would this be a good attack chain for my character.

     

    Finally i did somewhat of a okay build in mids looking to get a feedback and help with my build. Yes I did take mystic fly because, she is a theme character I want really to keep mystic flight.

  18. Back in the day I had a earth/sonic/earth troller and loved her to death.  I got requested alot to bring her in on alot of missions because of my cc shields and -res power. On teams I always tried to keep her in close to the action to support the tank and scrappers. I had most of my defs soft capped and on res s/l were capped e/d/f/c were about 45-50% finally t/p were about 20% res. With today io's and new stuff you will have a cc beast who has good shields and -res power from sonic and eq from earth you will just melt mobs on your team. 

     

    If you plan to solo yes your game will be very very slow and after you get rocky/poo man that will help speed things up some what and putting the -res power on him and hopefully he will stay in melee range to make things go some faster.
