Base Name: Heck on Earth Base Code: HECK-34662 Global: @cloudless night Special considerations: Heck on Earth has the only public Rail Gun, a device that can launch your character for miles in seconds, except this version is inside the base so you're just gonna hit the far wall in a blink. There's also the Boneyard, a functional skate park tucked away behind the Base Portal. The Oasis will be running a costume party there for the whole community on Oct. 19th from 9-Midnight Eastern Time.

I'm going to make another base with launchers above the base walls so that others can enjoy going for the maximum distance and experimenting. I'm not ready to reveal the build method just yet, I want to do more trial and error with different materials, but so far the elements required have been very specific to create this glitch. Hope you enjoy!

So I'm not quite ready to reveal how I built this, but I have constructed a device which can launch the player at ridiculous speeds. The current record is 41.67 miles in about 3-4 seconds. In my new club HECK-34662 you can try this out anytime. Go in and hang a left (east) into the cemetery, on top of the crypt next to the grill you'll see the top of a runic portal poking up near the wall. That will take you to the Rail Gun shooting range. The instructions are on the wall. I will note it's important to wait until turning to face forward before pressing W to move forward which is what starts charging the device, storing the momentum until you release it with a jump. (Chamber A sometimes sticks, keep jumping if that happens)

I think the representative of each base should give a number and you have to have the full code in your email to verify you visited each base.

But an alt account can still log in and be in the base. What is it proving?

Honestly the only way forward in my opinion to preserve integrity is to say that because of vote rigging and alt brigade voting that the category be cancelled this year and admonish us all with a "Those responsible know what they did and hopefully next year this doesn't happen again." Anything short of that says it's ok to campaign for specific bases. And it's not the base designers that are being celebrated, it's the base owners. The base designers win no matter what through exposure to their work.

While editing the base you rotated a window 90°

Hi there, I'm Claire Darling, and this is my new little gray duck friend!

It seems to work by suspending your landing. I've tried making ramps and it doesn't transfer falling motion into forward motion well. But you can slide uphill without resistance so used right you could make escalators. It's tricky lining letters up at an angle, but it does work.

More fun with the O-Rail, I made a slip and slide out on the front lawn of our base. Once more people see it and try it, I have a feeling this is gonna take off.

For wide lane O-Rail Slides, it was not necessary to make the O's too close as seen with Green and Blue. Green and Red allowed for the same sliding conditions without any dip in height. Also when a water surface was placed over it, instead of swim animation it was surfing animation.

Hi, I'm Claire Darling, from the Everlasting Server, and I am the creator of the O-Rail. So through experimenting with different surfaces I've found that some will trigger the slide or grind animation when traversed across. The technique I'd like to share I refer to as the O-Rail because it's made with the letter O aligned in a row. This allows the player to slide across the top of the row of letters using physics similar to ice. The letters will only let you travel one direction, but clever builders can still find use for this. We've also found that the height of the letter needs to be a certain amount or the player will attempt to stand on the object under the row of letters instead. This limit is roughly just below knee high, and I did not test with different character sizes, both myself and my partner Kinetic Velocity are about the same height and build. One thing we've noticed is that if you're going to use a long rail, then a fence to lean on will keep you aligned so you don't fall off. Below are a couple pictures from our base OASIS-3471 that use this technique and you're welcome to try it out yourself. I'd love to see pictures of this technique put to use in creative ways.
