Invuln / Staff Tanker build needed. Would anyone be able to help?
Ronin_Around replied to vtshadow314's topic in Tanker
Put this together in MIDS for you to get him started or at least point in a direction of where to go. Probably mid-range for price on the black market, save for the ATOs and a few of the PVP IOs. Assumption is you would get him the prestige attacks from START to flesh out the early attack chain until the later attacks are available. ScienceTanker (Invulnerability - Staff Fighting).mbd Hope that helps -
A very busy and fun time on Torchbearer tonight. We had 32+ tankers show up throughout the event. Many thanks to @Agoogala and @Warboss for leading mission teams tonight. As well, thanks to @MsAligned for leading the Dr Kahn TF, that team got it done in 48 minutes which is the fastest I've heard of for an all tanker team. And thanks to those that joined me for a +2x8 Cavern of Transcendence Trial, the unending waves of Igneous ambushes caused multiple deaths for us (being only level 15) but also a tremendous amount of fun. Everyone stuck with it and in the end we saved Sam Wincott until the next time he gets kidnapped. The Next Tanker Tuesday will be June 17th on Everlasting. Terra Volta Respec trials will be the Weekly Strike targets. Meet in Kings Row by the IP gate, 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. The Electrical Melee challenge will also be continuing next week, with the Synapse TF being on deck for those participating in that. See you next week

Good turn out on Victory today for our weekend TT run. We had 2 full teams that started off cleansing Kings Row of the 3 Paladins there and then we went to Croatoa to stop the War of the Vale. One team then ran a Katie Hannon TF with @MsAligned leading us. while @PapaSlade ran the missions team. Many thanks to both for taking the leads today. Next Tanker Tuesday is June 10th on Torchbearer. Will be running Cavern of Transcendence and hopefully someone will take a Dr Kahn TF as those will be the WST then. Meet up in Kings Row on the wall by the IP gate. 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. See you then

This Saturday, June 7th, we will get back on Victory for another Tanker "Tuesday" run. We will be forming up at 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET in Kings Row beside the IP Gate as always. We will likely try for a Katie Hannon TF if we have someone with it unlocked and enough tankers that are over level 30. Depending on turn out, we will need someone to lead a mission team as well. Hope to see you there.

We a good night of Tanking on Excel tonight. Four teams running with a Katie Hannon TF Lead by @MsAligned, a Numina TF lead by @PLVRIZR, a MIssion team doing Tina Macintyre's arc lead by @Warboss and a mostly speedy KM ITF with some great herding being done for those that ran with me. This Saturday, June 7th, we will be on Victory. 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET. Meet up in Kings Row as usual. Katie and Numina will still be the WST or maybe we will continue the DA arcs. Next week , June 10th, we will be on Torchbearer. Dr Kahn and Cavern of Transcendence will be the WST. 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET in Kings row as always. See you tanks there

I don't know where they finished up at but they should be in the mid 20s now, so hopefully able to do more on the next run.
-
That is mostly correct. @wittylibrarian ran a Moonfire TF as the WST for the non-challenge tanks and I ran some Unai missions for the 2 tanks that weren't tall enough to join the TFs June 3rd on Excel will be the next TT event. Numina, Katie Hannon and Dr Aeon are the WST then. Also next week will be our weekend run on Victory, Saturday June 7th 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET. Same WST as above.
-
That's half the fun though. If these were easy then they wouldn't really be a "Challenge" now would it? My recent Ice/Savage melee tank was rough at that point too, but came together quite nicely around 30 and with some IO sets slotted. I think we had 40+ defeats between the 5 of us on my teams run but most of that was on the last mission that PLV had left set at +2x8 🤣

An interesting night of tanking on Everlasting tonight. We had 4 teams running with E'lle Trik (@O'terra) overcoming her star allergies to lead the mission team. And many thanks to Murk Breaker @Krogoth for leading the Manticore TF tonight. We also had two teams of 5 tanks each doing the Electric Melee challenge and running the Positron TFs. @PLVRIZR took over the lead of team 1 since he was the tallest and took us through at +2x8 that we completed in 1:26 with a few team wipes while we tried to kick our own asses. Team 2 lead by @Warboss fared a bit better than us, completing both Posi 1 & 2. Next month, the Electric Melee challenge will move on to Synapse which should be interesting. Next week, May 27th, TT will be back on Indomitable. Meet up in KR at 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. Market Crash and Moonfire are the WST. The Stone Armor challenge will be continuing this week with the Manticore TF up next but Moonfire may be an option as well. See you then

Late update but we did have the Tanker "Tuesday" run on Reunion this past weekend. We had 6 tankers take part and we started off beating up 3 Paladins in Kings Row before taking care of some Council and Crey for Citadel and Manticore to help @Warboss get closer to his TFC accolade on his Bio/Psi tank. Next run on Reunion will be June 21, meet up will be at 9:30 am PT / 12:30 pm ET / 5:30 pm CET for our European friends. This week, May 20th, Tanker Tuesday is on Everlasting and the Electric Melee challenge will continue on with the Positron Task forces as most should be in that range. If you missed out on the first run last week you have a day to get a new free choice Primary/Electric Melee tanker up to at least level 8 to join in on the TFs this week. For those not doing the challenge, Manticore and Sutter are the weekly strike targets and there should be a mission team as well. Meet us in Kings Row at 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET I noticed that I have the "Find missing fortune teller" mission on my EM tank, so the challenge team (or one of them) will be running that for the Spelunker badge needed for the Atlas Medallion Accolade before we start on Positron.
-
Yes, Everlasting is the home for the Electric Melee challenge. Thanks for the reminder. I think most would be in the 10-15 level range so, Posi 1 & 2 could very well be doable.

A fun and busy night with a lot of new faces on Torchbearer tonight. We had 2 full mission teams running and 2 teams running the Ernesto Hess TF. Many thanks to @Indestructaboy and @X'Terra for leading the mission teams and thanks to @MsAligned leading the other Hess TF. We had some great herding done on my Hess team, and lots of mechmen getting thrown into the lava This Saturday, May 17th we are on Reunion, with Hess and LGTF still the WST. Meet up in Kings Row at 9:30 am PT / 12:30 pm ET. Next Tuesday, May 20th we are on Everlasting at the usual time. Manticore and Sutter will be the WST. See you then

Tankers of all levels are welcome from level 1 to 50+. Bring whatever Tanker you want to play to Kings Row beside the Independence Port gate and stand on the wall with all the other tanks. Teams will be sorted out and you will be fit into a suitable TF or mission team. The event starts up @ 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET but get that a bit before hand to make things easier for the team sorting.

It was a fun run on Victory yesterday. We had 2 teams running with many thanks to @MsAligned for taking the mission team while five other tanks joined me in taking on the Hydra in the Abandoned Sewer Trial. As Archiviste noted above, it took a while but it did get done eventually. We did start the day clearing out the 3 paladins from Kings Row and rounded the day off with some tip missions. Next run on Victory will be June 7th. The next Tanker Tuesday event is May 6th on Excelsior. 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. Citadel and Eden are the WST but any content tanks want to lead and run is appreciated.
-
I forgot to mention that this Saturday, May 3rd, we will be doing our weekend run on Victory. 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET. Meet up in Kings Row. Will look at doing an Abandoned Sewer Trial (Level 38+) or a Ms Liberty TF (45+) depending on the levels of who shows up, since they are the WST. Or maybe a Drowning in Blood Trial, which is 15+ and not something we have regularly run with tanks.

There was an excellent turnout tonight for the All-Tank Instanced Mothership Raid on Torchbearer. A total of 42 Tankers joined in for a very fun evening of kicking the Rikti off the planet. Special thanks go to @Anyad for promoting and advertising this event through out the week and to Mistirred Tea - (@Ohmazine) for providing the dropship kill shot prize, won by Tinglie (@Em Serious), who donated the prize to lotto for baby tanks, unfortunately I'm not sure who actually won it. Much fun had and around 1600 V-merits were reported to be gained tonight Next week Tanker Tuesday will return to Excel. 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. Meet in Kings Row on the wall beside the IP Gate. Citadel and Eden Trial will be the WST. Volunteers to lead teams are always appreciated. Good looking bunch of tanks there Rikti didn't last long in the bowl... Take care tanks

Our latest run with the Stone Armor challenge on Indomitable went well with 14 stoners doing dueling Yin TFs. Team 2 lead by @Warboss won that race and finished in around 40 minutes while my team took about 50. Both teams lost a few and then ran Citadel TFs. Team 1 won that one finishing in 55 minutes. Many thanks to @wittylibrarian for running the Mission team tonight. Next week, April 29th will be our 5th Tuesday of the month and we will be doing an Instanced Mothership Raid on Torchbearer. All Tankers level 10 and up are welcome, but a fair number of Incarnate Level 50 Tankers will be required for us to be successful. Please ensure you have the Member of Vanguard badge prior to the event so that you can get Vanguard Merits during the raid. It is no longer required to enter the Instance though. Remember to get a jet pack or some kind of flight power for the Dropship hunt after the raid. Temporary Hold powers and Envenomed Daggers are an asset as well. Since April is Ape Awareness month, Ape themed Tanks are highly encouraged (if you have them) but are not a requirement. Meet up in Kings Row, on the wall beside the Independence Port gate. The MSR will launch at 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET and we will begin forming up a half hour prior to that.

Tanker "Tuesday" Tour, on Reunion, on a Saturday...
Ronin_Around replied to Warboss's topic in Tanker
A great run on Reunion today. We had 8 amazing tankers show up to first cleanse Kings Row of the scourge of Paladins infesting the place. We then powered through an Imperious TF with much leveling going on and Romans being trounced. And to finish off we beat up a few AVs (Black Swan, Malaise & Mother) to finish the day. Good times all around. Next Reunion Tanker Tuesday run will be May 17th. 9:30 am PT / 12:30 pm ET / 6:30 PM CET -
Great tanking fun had on Everlasting tonight. We had 4 teams running with many thanks to Gamma.Guardian aka @Tygorr for taking the mission team and to Hard Cover aka @wittylibrarian for leading an ITF team tonight. We had 13 tankers take part in the Electric Melee challenge tonight, which we kicked off with an old school Sewer Network run, starting in Kings Row we cleared the sewers to Atlas and then turned around and clear up to Boomtown. After which we finished off with a few radio missions. Took a bit to get that settled in but was good fun. Had been about 19 years since I had done a sewer run like that. This Saturday, April 19th will be our monthly Reunion run. 6:30 pm CET/9:30 am PT/12:30 pm ET. ITF and Justin are still the WST but I have an ITF in my sights so, bring a 35+ tank just to be sure. April 22 will see TT return to Indomitable. The Stone Armor challenge is still on there and we have Yin in the queue for those tanks (which is also the WST along with Faathim) Usual time and place for that one. Happy Easter all if I don't see you in game before then

Fun times on Torchbearer tonight. We had 2 full teams running with @Warboss leading a reported "very efficient" Synapse TF that was so deadly, Babbage was too scared to show up to meet them. The rest of the tankers joined me in running the 1st of the New Praetorians arc from Provost Marchand. And in a rare occurrence, we did not achieve Rule #2, in that @wittylibrarian did not get defeated, not even once! Next Tanker Tuesday will be April 15th on Everlasting, Imperious and Justin Augustine will be the Weekly Strike Targets. This will also be the start of the Electric Melee Tanker Challenge. Bring a newish (level 5 or under) Electric Melee tank to Kings Row, any primary set is permitted. Current plan is to do an old school Sewer Network run from Kings Row to Atlas, and then up to Boomtown. There should be a few people with the Supergroup Portal power to allow the group(s) to head to a SG base level up at intervals without losing our place in the sewer clean up. Saturday April 19th will be our next Reunion run. 9:30 AM PT / 11:30 AM ET / 6:30 PM CET We will also be back on Torchbearer later this month for the 5th Tuesday on April 29th for an Instanced Mothership Raid. Since April is Ape Awareness month, bring an Ape themed tank if you have one.

untilTanker Tuesday is one of the longest running player-led events in City of Heroes. Come join in with your follow Tankers to enjoy in all Tanker things and run various Task Forces, missions, Giant Monster fights and other special events. Learn about different Tanker tactics and build suggestions while smashing evil doers and protecting the City. Each month with a 5th Tuesday in it we like to do something different for that Tanker Tuesday. This month we will be running an Instanced Mothership Raid on Torchbearer.

A run good on Victory today with a DA run, some GM fighting, a Yin TF, and a new Level 50 Tanker. Good fun all around. Next Victory run will be May 3rd. April 8th Tanker Tuesday will be on Torchbearer, meet up at 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. On the wall by the IP gate in Kings Row. @Warboss has already offered to lead a Synapse TF, so arrive early to get a spot on that. Sara Moore is the other WST and we will see how much interest there is for that. See you then Tankers

It was a fun time on Victory today for our monthly Tanker "Tuesday" run. We had one full team with a bunch of lowbies, so after we stopped a Paladin from messing up the streets of Kings Row, we opted to run the Mu'Vorkan Arc in Dark Astoria at +4x8 to get some tanks a bunch of levels. Mission accomplished on that. After defeating the Sentinel of Mot we hit Nova Praetoria fight The Dreaded Mapserver! GM and while we were not able to take him down some fun was had and Fiery Hot Angel (@AmethystAngel) became the most recent Tank to reach level 50 during a TT event. Congratulations AA! A few folks had to drop then so we finished the day with a speedy 6 tank Yin TF. Many levels and rewards were gained today and much fun had. The next Tanker Tuesday run on Victory will be May 3rd. 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET. Meet us in Kings Row by the IP gate.

A big night on Excelsior tonight that started off being disrupted by the Mapserver event. After that we ended up with 5 teams running. Many thanks to @ColTech and @Albedo for running the mission teams tonight. I think they got a Rikti invasion as well in there along the way. @PLVRIZR & @Warboss had dueling ApeMage TFs going tonight as a fair number of folk wanted in on that. And a big thanks to those that joined me on the Dr Q TF tonight. We managed to finish that in 2:35:37 which was not terrible for a bunch of tanks. This Saturday, April 5th is our monthly stop on Victory, 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET. Meet in Kings Row as always. No set plan but probably not DrQ. Next week TT will be on Torch with Synapse and Sara Moore being the WST. 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. On the wall in Kings Row. As always, if there is something that you would like to run on any TT, please let me know. Volunteers to lead teams are always appreciated as well. @wittylibrarian our thoughts are with you.
-
What level is the Tank you are thinking of moving over? Generally the challenge is to level them up as a group during TT as much as possible. If you wanted to run a higher level tank with the rest, though you would be exemplared down to the team leads level, so it wouldn't really break the challenge but would give you a leg up on the rest of your teammates.
