Reminder that Tanker Tuesday will be doing a weekend run on Victory tomorrow, March 1st, at 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET. Meet up in Kings Row on the wall as usual and we will see what kind of tanking we can get into. See you there

We had a somewhat successful night on Indomitable what 10 tanks taking part in the Stone Armor ?weapon challenge which split into 2 teams that each took on the Positron TF. Thanks for leading those @PLVRIZR and @Warboss. Plus @wittylibrarian ran a 4 tank Market Crash for our high level, non-challenge tanks, but unfortunately they did not have enough debuff available to take down the giant robot. You'll get them next time, Witty! The next Tanker Tuesday event will be this Saturday, March 1st, on Victory. We will be starting an hour earlier than last time 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET. Meet up in Kings Row as usual. All tanks welcome. Next Tuesday, March 4th, we will be back on Excelsior at the usual time. 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. Numina, Katie Hannon, and Dr Aeon will be the WST.

We had a grand night on Everlasting with three teams running. Many thanks to newcomer to TT @MistressMissy for leading the 7 tank Manticore TF. And thanks to @wittylibrarian & @MsAligned for leading the missions team. And thanks to @Warboss for wrangling a Paladin to start the night and for leading a 4 tank Citadel TF to beat up Vandal in about 1:26. Sadly the lens cap was on my camera all night. Next Tuesday, February 25th, Tanker Tuesday will be on Indomitable. The Stone Armor/Weapon challenge will be on round 2 with the Positron part 2 TF or possibly Synapse on deck. For those not doing the challenge, Market Crash and Moonfire TF are the WST and there will be a mission team of course. See you all then.

Two mighty teams of tanks hit Torchbearer tonight for some tanking. Many thanks to FREEZRBRN aka @PLVRIZR for leading a successful task force for Ernesto Hess, and thanks to those that helped me try and halt the Nemesis Wedding which we sadly ran out of time on, but some tanks still managed to get the Mini Nemesis Horse pet. The night was finished off beating up some Council and spiders. This Saturday, February 15th, we are back on Reunion, 9:30 am PT / 12:30 pm ET / 6:30 pm CET. Meet up in Kings Row as always, bring whichever tank you like, no theme on reunion this year. Next Tuesday, February 18th we will be back on Everlasting with Manticore and Sutter as the WST. 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET in Kings Row. Don't be alarmed if you are not invited to a team or league right away, we are trying a new system to hopefully streamline the start and sorting process. Only inviting Team Leaders to the league to start and they will invite players that want to join their TF or mission teams as that gets decided Please bear with us as we try out this new way. Thanks Tanks!

Update: The time of this ongoing event has been changed and will be starting at 10:00 am PT/1:00 PM ET going forward. It will continue to occur monthly on the 1st Saturday of each month. The event calendar has been updated to reflect this.

If we can get a full team of incarnate tanks to do it, sure. Thanks for volunteering to lead the Lady Grey TF next week!

A busy night and a great turn out on Excelsior tonight. We had five teams running with a pair of dueling Citadel TFs, lead by @MsAligned & @PLVRIZR, an Eden Trial lead by DeadShort (@DrBuzzard) and a Positron TF run by Armageddon Girl (@GamerFamily). Many thanks to each of them for taking the leads of those team. A few more tanks joined me hopping through the dimensions for Unai Kemen with varying degrees of success. Thanks to all who come out tonight and for continuing to make Tanker Tuesday a special event each week. Next week, February 11th, we will be on Torchbearer. Meet up in Kings Row as usual 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. Lady Grey and Hess are the WST. It has been a while since we have done an All Tanker LGTF and I'm thinking we should give that a try again. So if we can get a few Incarnated Tankers that are willing to stick with it and give it a go next week, that would be excellent. See you all then.

We has a successful run for the 1st Tanker Tuesday on Victory. Sixteen tankers in all joined in on the mayhem at some point. The Abandoned Sewer got purged of Hydra and Nemesis got kicked out of some alternate dimensions. Next TT on Victory will be March 1st. Feb 4th will be the next TT on Excel. Citadel and Eden will be the WST. See you then.

The first Tanker Tuesday on Victory is in the books and there was a good turn out for it. All told, 16 tankers joined in the event for at some point during the event. Thanks to all that joined in on making this a success. Thanks to tank Omega who ran the Abandoned Sewer Trial for the high level tanks while I took the lowbie tanks on a Nemesis hunt through some Unai Kemen missions. As well, we started off the day fighting a pair of Paladins. A good looking bunch of tanks there We will be back on Victory March 1st

A reminder that the 1st edition of Tanker "Tuesday" on Victory will be running tomorrow, February 1st at 11:00 am PT / 2:00 pm ET. Meet up in Kings Row beside the Independence Port gate, all levels are welcome as long as you are the Tanker AT. Will form up into various mission teams and/or task forces depending on the turn out. (If we get 18 or more with enough 50s we could maybe even try for a MSR) Hope to see you there.

Bumping this up as a reminder that the 1st edition of Tanker "Tuesday" on Victory will be running tomorrow, February 1st at 11:00 am PT / 2:00 pm ET. Meet up in Kings Row beside the Independence Port gate, all levels are welcome as long as you are the Tanker AT. Will form up into various mission teams and/or task forces depending on the turn out. (If we get 18 or more with enough 50s we could try for a MSR) If you have not moved a higher level tanker over to Victory, do not worry and roll up a new one there, grab some boosters and we will get you on an appropriate team. See you all then.

It was a successful start to the Stone Armor/Melee Weapon challenge on Indomitable tonight. There were 13 fresh faced tankers starting the night off that ran dueling DFBs to start. Many thanks to @Warboss and @X'Terra for leading those teams. The few non-challenge tankers beat up a whole mess of level 54 Freaks for Unai Kemen, we even got a bit of dumpster diving in. This Saturday, February 1st, we will start the Tanker "Tuesday" tour on the Victory server. 11:00 am PT / 2:00 pm ET. Move a tank over or start a new one there, all levels are welcome. Meet up in Kings Row by the IP gate as usual. Feb 4th we will return to Excel at the usual time. Citadel and the Eden Trial will be the weeklies.
-
Just a reminder that we are on Indomitable today, at regular start time of 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. and we will be starting the Stone Armor/Melee Weapon challenge tonight. Bring your new (preferably under level 5) Stone Armor Tank with one of the following Secondaries (Battle Axe, Broad Sword, Dual Blades, Katana, Staff Fighting, Titan Weapons or War Mace) to Kings Row to join in. Will likely start the challenge team(s) off with a DFB and then find other mayhem. We will also set up some other teams for those that aren't interested in doing the challenge, Miss Liberty and the Abandoned Sewer Trial are the weeklies.

Electric Armor/Staff is a great combo and a lot of fun. Ran one as my primary for Tanker Tuesdays on Torch for a few years. Your build seems solid and should play fairly well as you have it set out. A couple of suggestions: Swap in Mercurial Blow for Precise Strike, the Defense Debuff from MB is more useful than the stun from PS and can be slotted with the Achilles' Heel Resist Debuff Proc for added benefit. Guarded Spin can take Defense IOs and is a good place to slot a LotG Global Recharge Serpent's Reach - you have it 5 slotted with Apocalypse, which works nicely. Add a slot with the Decimation: Build Up Proc Power Sink - 4 slots with Power Transfer seems a waste. It doesn't do damage and the extra point to max end and 35 hp won't really be noticeable in the end. Keep the Self Heal and EndMod slotted if you want the Regen bonus put those extra two slots on Mercurial Blow, Guarded Spin or Serpent's Reach as noted above Staff Mastery is available at 20. Take it there or as soon after as you can. For your Judgement power, I haven't found Vorpal to work well with tankers. Would suggest Ion, Mighty or Void instead. Also your Regen seems good and you have a self heal in Energize, so you may want to swap in Ageless Radial for the Debuff Resist instead of Rebirth, unless you find you need the Max HP boost from that. In any event, have fun with this combo. It can be a blast!

untilTanker Tuesday is one of the longest running player-led events in City of Heroes. Come join in with your follow Tankers to enjoy in all Tanker things and run various Task Forces, missions, Giant Monster fights and other special events. Learn about different Tanker tactics and build suggestions while smashing evil doers and protecting the City. Meet up in Kings Row, on the wall beside the Independence Port gate. All levels are welcome as long as you are the Tanker Archetype. Event will start at 10:00 am Pacific time / 1:00 pm Eastern time. Going forward, this event will be run at the above time on the 1st Saturday of each month.

An update: On Saturday February 1st, we will be starting Tanker "Tuesday" on the Victory server. This will start at 11:00 am Pacific Time / 2:00 pm Eastern Time. Meeting place will be in Kings Row on the wall beside the Independence Port gate. It will be run on the 1st Saturday of each month going forward, much like our Reunion runs on the 3rd Saturday of each month. This is because we don't have 6 Tuesdays in a month and feel that each server should get a Tanker Tuesday each month. Please join us for this event if you can.

A busy night on Everlasting with 4 teams running. Many thanks to @Warboss and @MsAligned for running a couple of mission teams and trying to get tanks to Yin TF range. And thanks to @X'terra for running a Yin TF that had a few hiccups to it. Also a 6 tank team saved teh shadow shard and took out Lanaru the Mad on the Faathim TF in 1:34. Much smashing happened all around. Next Tanker Tuesday on Indom will see the start of the Stone Armor/Melee Weapon challenge that Warboss mentioned earlier. Start a new tank on Indom, Stone Armor is a must and pick a hand held Melee Weapon as the secondary. Secondaries to choose from would be: Battle Axe Broad Sword Dual Blades Katana Staff Titan Weapons War Mace No Claws or Spines Meet up on the wall by the IP gate in Kings Row. 6:00 pm PT 9:00 pm ET On Saturday February 1st, we will be starting Tanker "Tuesday" on the Victory server. This will start at 11:00 am Pacific Time / 2:00 pm Eastern Time. Meeting place will be in Kings Row as always. It is being run on the 1st Saturday of each month going forward, much like our Reunion runs on the 3rd Saturday of each month. This is because we don;t have 6 Tuesdays in a month and feel that each server should get one each month. Please join us for that event if you can. See you in Paragon

I could get behind doing a themed Secondary challenge. Either Rad Melee or Electric Melee would be good. Or both, just run on different servers. I will suggest we do not run a theme challenge on Victory just yet. Let's get the schedule set for that first (respond in the TT thread in the Victory forum if there are alternate suggestion to what is laid out there), and have people bring whatever tank they want to get that one off the ground. Can work on a theme for a Victory run in a month or two if enough people want.
-
There was a decent turnout on Torch tonight for Tanker Tuesday with 3 full teams running. And there were a bunch of new faces on the wall tonight that got welcomed into the Tanker Tuesday experience. Many Thanks to @X'Terra for leading the mission team. @Warboss lead an All-Shield ITF at +2 and finished in 43 minutes. And some foolish souls joined me for a +4x8 ITF that we got done in 59:41. There were a couple of new 50's made today as well. Congrats to them This Saturday, Jan 18th, we are on Reunion. 9:30 am PT / 12:30 pm ET / 6:30 pm CET Next week, Jan 21st, sees the TTT on Everlasting. Yin and Faathim are the WST. Usual time, meet in Kings Row.

At our most recent Tanker Tuesday on Excelsior, the question was raised as to if the new Victory server would be added into the Tanker Tuesday Tour rotation. Of course we would like to include Victory in our weekly tanky smashing goodness, but there are a few things we need to iron out before hand. Firstly, since we do not want to step on any toes or cause any rifts from the start, is there someone from the private server already running a Tanker Tuesday event on Victory? If so, what is the schedule it is currently run on? (Weekly or monthly? time of day?) If there is already something in place, whomever is running it, please contact me @Ronin_Around and @Warboss and we will see how we can bring the existing Victory Tanker Tuesday event into the fold. Or at least get some of our veteran TTers to try to join in if they can. Secondly, if there isn't a TT event in place on Victory, since there are usually only 4 Tuesdays in a month and we already have 5 servers, each Tuesday is already allocated to a server with the Euro server, Reunion, being run on a Saturday. The current rotation is as follows with the Tuesday runs starting at 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET and runs for approximately 2 hours. 1st Tuesday - Excelsior 2nd Tuesday - Torchbearer 3rd Tuesday - Everlasting 4th Tuesday - Indomitable 3rd Saturday - Reunion/Europe - 9:30 am PT/12:30 pm ET/6:30 PM CET Adding Victory poses a bit of a problem, as we do not want to start alternating servers on different weeks. This event has been running on the above schedule for over 5 years now and changing that would not be fair to people of each server that enjoy the event but don't bounce around the servers like some of us do. Nor do we want to leave Victory out of this event. One possible solution would be run Victory on the occasional 5th Tuesday in a month, but that only happens 3 or 4 times a year, which seems a bit light. Those 5th Tuesdays are also used to do other, bigger all Tanker events like Hamidon or Mothership Raids and sometimes iTrials. The 5th Tuesday also rotates through all the servers, so whatever ends up being our solution, Victory will be added to the 5th Tuesday rotation regardless. My suggestion for adding Victory into the Tanker Tuesday Tour is to run it on the 1st Saturday of every month during the late morning/early afternoon. 11:00 am PT / 2:00 pm ET. If this is acceptable to the denizens of Victory, our first event there would be February 1st. I welcome any thoughts or suggestions people have about us bringing Tanker Tuesday to Victory and look forward to doing some fine tanking there with you all soon.

Yes, TankHQ is up and running on Victory, but the base is still under construction. We will need to find a good day to run the Tanker Tuesday Tour on Victory, but all of our Tuesdays are full. I'm not a fan of rotating the lower pop servers on alternating Tuesday like used to be done on Live, as we have been running on a consistent schedule for over 5 years now. My suggestion is to TT on Victory much like we do for Reunion and run it on the first Saturday of each month. Likely in the afternoon as well, as apparently some people use Saturday nights for something called a "Social life", what freaks!😉 As always, open to suggestions from all TTers and discussion on how we can bring Victory into the Tanker Tuesday Tour.

A busy night on Excelsior to start 2025 off with a lot of smashing. Five teams were running with 2 mission teams, thanks for leading those @X'terra and @ColTech. We also had a double shot of the Synapse TF with thanks going to @PLVRIZR and @Warboss for each leading some rowdy tanks against the Clockwork King. And thank to those that joined me bouncing around the Cascade Archipelago as we beat up Ruludak on the Sara Moore TF. Next week, January 14th the TT tour will be on Torch with Imperious and Justin Augustine being the WST. Warboss would like to run an All-Shield ITF being run that night, so bring a Shield tank if you got one and we will probably have another for non-shield tankers or other shenanigans, depending on how many show up. Remember, you have 5 free server transfer each week, so you can move one over if you don't have one there. 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET. Usual spot in Kings Row Saturday January 18th will be our Euro run on the Reunion server. No theme there for this year but would like to run an ITF there as well that week. 9:30 AM PT / 12:30 PM ET / 6:30 PM Central Euro Time. See you all next time

Homecoming Server Update (January 7th): Victory is Ours!
Ronin_Around replied to Widower's topic in Announcements
Welcome Victory! Looking forward to starting some new adventures there as well. -
I have a new Stone/Mace tank on Indom as well, so should be good to go. I'll note that not everyone needs to participate in this challenge. For each TT on Indom, we will set up the challenge team and then set up the regular Tanker Tuesday teams for any others that show up but don't want to run a new Stone/*weapon tank. No need for anyone to be excluded. I also noticed that we have a New Server in the list now. The Victory server is online. We will need to figure out how to get that into the rotation, maybe another Saturday run. See you all later tonight.

Tonight we finished off the Tanker Tuesday Tour for 2024 with a Mothership Raid on Excelsior. With 29 tankers involved, we rang in the New Year by kicking the Rikti back off the planet (again). Faced with that much pure Tankage, U'Kon Gr'ai took off running. We chased him down on the top of the ship and whipped his ass there for a change. After we finished with them, we made sure to get rid of the Dropship as well, with @wittylibrarian getting the kill shot on it. While most tankers left to attend to festivities, a small group stayed to do Apex and Tin Mage II a favour by taking out Battle Maiden and then Neuron & Bobcat. Many thanks to those that stayed for that. Next Tanker Tuesday will be January 7th on Excelsior. Synapse and Sara Moore will be the WST. Meet up in Kings Row by the IP Gate. 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET Stay Safe and have a Happy New Year all.
