  1. you know, i had honestly forgotten about stuff like that, and this is a great point too-- granted, it's 'more work' in the long run, but also could probably get away with leaving it as is on def and maybe corr and just change it for sent and blast? but there WERE also people who seem to want the new version on corr / def too, which makes this solution less ideal feeling...
  2. can you explain exactly what all you got going on in here for me? 0/x8 what? i'd love to understand what i'm looking at! thank you
  3. but i could support even more with what amounts to two support sets, the -res from it is particularly useful against hard targets with a team taking advantage of it compared to you doing a bit more damage but doing a good chunk less -res
  4. great post! i'm kinda surprised that sonic is so underutilized by support characters since it's what i use on defenders more than half the time- maybe even more than 75% of the time!
  5. i think if they just changed how they split the 20% into two parts with the sustained / refreshed and the stacking bits, to make the stacking able to go higher would do it tbh, even if it'd still reduce the ceiling for the -res of it in exchange for it being easier to hit the ceiling
  6. oh i'm not saying it's inappropriate! i completely understand the decision and stuff! i'm just saying i disagree with it because its niche as a not-for-blasters blast set was something i liked about it. this isn't a bad decision, it's just one that i ( and others with a similar mindset ) will dislike, which is okay- but likewise it's okay for myself ( and others ) to say that we won't like this change too- it's our honest feedback, after all
  7. it still does -res, it just does less, so it offers less support. will it solo better? definitely, but that's not my concern as stated
  8. as someone who doesn't really like doing damage personally and much prefers support, i prefer the older version of sonic. however, my friends who prefer damage to support love the new version of it because it does that blasting stuff better. this feels like a change that is good for you if you want sonic for personal damage but bad if you want it for support. wish there was a way we could just get both sets tbh, so no one loses anything, but i doubt that's in the cards
  9. i know i've been a negative nancy in other threads about changes but this is genuinely a thing of beauty that i want to see more of
  10. wouldn't say ONLY future, but it's a dang big part of it because if nothing else it also takes pressure of dev team making proper new content, so making people want to do ae in general less feels like it's just gonna make people not willing to stick around long enough to get the new content the devs make which is a shame since it's good when we get it! AND, this is a game for people who make alts. having to make a new character for every power combination means a lot of testing and tinkering for all these character concepts and ideas and i know people who have like dozens and in some cases over a hundred different characters often with most being level 50--- farming lets people use all these characters in high end stuff and doesn't restrict people to slower stuff that's less rewarding and stuff by comparison. like i get the desire to have people play all the non-ae and not-just-end-game content there is, but honestly it feels like the better way to do that would be to make it not all need ouro to do. know for a fact that myself and like everyone i play with would be all over things like making all arcs be playable at max level, or stuff like radios scaling up in all zones with you, or preferably incarnate radios, and the like! lowering barrier to 'proper content' and or increasing rewards for 'proper content' feels a better way to approach the 'farming issue' to me than making something that for some people make the game still worth playing worse.
  11. also in the camp of '8 seems like a big ask', for most builds i've done with offensive toggles if it didn't maintain the suppression despite turning the power off and on, it'd be faster to just turn it off and on after the mez or something. 5 seems better to me--- but more to the point, why have the suppression remain despite turning the toggles on and off for that time? if someone wants to invest the effort in doing that, i'd figure it'd be fine to just let them, unless this is something where it'd be harder to let them do that than to not
  12. just noticed this, this sucks man, i was at first so excited to give my enemies all sorts of cool combos to make them tougher and more interesting! and now... well if i do that like... nobody gets any reward for them... so it's a lot of work for no reason to really do it unless the story demands it but then just write a story that doesn't so players are rewarded for playing it--- as much as they will be with no vet xp from it are y'all really that afraid of farming?
  13. yeah, my feelings exactly! as someone who makes lil arcs in ae for rp stuff, having this in is just kinda... punishing? for a game with new content being so slow to add, discouraging people from using the source of infinite possible new content without boosting non-ae content or something feels... harsh
  14. drats, this is going to mess up my tommy gun beam rifle character i got going on by not having the munitions rifle replace the beam rifle-- any hope of having proliferation of ar to br skins? or will i just have to never touch my costumes again else i lose my weapon to something i don't want?
