  1. Looking for someone who could build a modern tech themed corporation base for Role playing super group.

The primary goal is to have a high tech research corporation that also provides living quarters to its employees.

Please contact me using my global chat handle: @DigitalDivinity or on Discord with Nulde#5831

Anything that is mentioned as being "connected" to another room is its own room but I envision being able to get to it from the larger room it's connected to.

Here are the goals I was hoping for but all of this is negotiable since I don't want to reduce anyone's creative choice. Technically we could scrap all this as long as the theme (high tech corporation/research center) remains intact.

    • Roman themed courtyard (outdoor) area in front of the corporation where people can RP (fountains, gardens, benches, statues, etc)

    • Modern office themed reception area when you enter
      • includes a front desk where someone can sit as a receptionist
      • waiting/seating area for people who are visiting
      • I kinda see this as a Japanese type design (just for the reception area) with wooden floors and indoor fish pond maybe
      • zen themed perhaps (just for the reception area)

    • Large auditorium connected to reception area
      • Hangar which can fit a plane  and cars, connected to auditorium
        • CEO's personal living quarters connected to the hangar (includes private bathroom, bedroom, office and kitchen)
        • board meeting room inside auditorium (or connected to it if that's easier)
        • a few private offices (3 to 5) for officers/high rank people; connected to the auditorium (if there is still space along the walls for more rooms to be connected)
          • these private offices could also be distributed throughout the base if that's easier

Two halls will leave away from the auditorium on two opposite directions. One takes people to the Residential Area, and one takes people to the Research District

    • Residential Area
      • larger room with apartment-like bedroom living quarters, rooms only need to be 2x2
        • I was thinking the living quarters could be one large room and then just have 2x2 bedrooms, sectioned off by building walls and multiple stories (about 3)
      • kitchen/cafeteria connected to living quarters
        • leisure/entertainment area connected to kitchen/cafeteria
      • gym and looker room connected to residential area

    • Research District (Large computer control room  with lots of super computers, servers and computer terminals for employees to work and do research - uses mostly items from the Tech Power and Tech Workshop categories.
      • high security vault connected to computer control room (can't get in w/o teleporting through a crack in the wall which is hidden or something like that)
      • medical facility connected to control room
        • medical research lab connected to medical facility
      • Modern business office with cubicles
        • modern library connected to the business of
      • Arcane research area
        • Arcane library and artifacts room connected to arcane library

  2. When it comes to Defender's Bastion's Chance for Minor PBAoE Heal what are the chances of it healing and for how much? Mid's doesn't show this.

and for Vigilant Assault's PBAoE +Absorb what is the chance of proc and I assume the Absorb is applied to allies within a certain range of the enemy hit since this is an offensive ability enhancement?

Is there a place that break down all the the enhancement effects? Paragonwiki doesn't have that much detail

Many can. I have a Bio Scrapper softcapped to all types (other than psy). The defense based sets certainly can (shield, SR). If you're willing to spend anything on a build, many sets probably can hit softcap.

You have a bioscrapper who is soft capped on defense? You mean resistance?

  4. I want to make a Scrapper that is good at soloing. Specifically for doing Flash Back arcs.

The two main things I am looking for is:

    1. Good protection again Mezes (I want to be CCed as little as possible for obvious reasons if I'm alone)
    2. A lot of damage, there are so many primary powersets, not sure which one to choose.

For my secondary, Willpower seems to have the most Mez protection against the main CCs like Hold, Stun, Immob and KB. Good Sleep resist too.

  5. Based on this information from the Wiki:

    "Set Bonuses and Exemplaring

When a character exemplars down to a lower level access to set bonuses (and Global IOs that function as set bonuses) is based on the level of the Enhancement and not the power they are slotted in. Exemplaring more than three levels below the level of the Enhancements renders the set bonuses non-functional. However as long as the character does not exemplar more than three levels below the level of the Enhancement the set bonuses are retained even if the power they are slotted in is unavailable.

Very Rare IOs and PvP IOs are exempt from this rule, the set bonuses function regardless of what level the character is exemplared to. Attuned Enhancements change their level based on the character's current Combat Level so the set bonuses will only shut off if the character exemplars more than three levels below the minimum level allowed for the Enhancement."

If I am reading this correctly, Purple IOs and PvP IOs keep ALL of their set bonuses when Exemplared? So 5 Apaocolypse IOs will give me 10% recharge time to all abilities whether I am lv.50 or exemplared below 50? Always 10%?

So if a set is not Very Rare, like Miracle for example, and my character is Lv.20 and I use the Lv.20 Miracle IOs then when exempt to Lv.15, I won't have access to the set bonuses anymore for Miracle?

  6. This has literally none of the new content, like the Electric Affinity Powerset or Experimentation pool.

I downloaded the Windows (main) version from the intro post and the instructions for the weekly update show:

"Click __"Source code (zip)"__ under __"Assets"__ section of most recent Weekly
    * Open downloaded file
    * Extract contents of __"MRB-Updates-######"__ to Mids install folder, overwriting as prompted
      * _For a clean install, only extract the __"Data"__ and __"Images"__ folders_"

Mids install folder only has 1 thing in it... Mids Reborn.

Putting Images and Data in the same directory with Mids Reborn does nothing... updates nothing...

Does anyone have a way to get Mid's or Pine's with the actual latest information that doesn't require knowledge of complex depositories for downloading? - I'm not a computer programmer lol

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean here.  The "small room" must be the entrance room, where your portal starts out. You can indeed move the portal to another room, or even above or below the base, as long as the editor has something it recognizes as a floor to place the portal on. It's automatically oriented to the floor, and you cannot change this except through a random bug. If you've tried to move the portal and been unsuccessful, I suspect you did not first hit f3 to enable room clipping, which might have made it seem like you couldn't move the portal because it would have turned the box red if you were only partly out of the room.  If you had the mouse completely in another room and the portal still would not go, that would be strange, and please let me come take a look to help. To move the portal, you should click and hold the left mouse button, and then move the mouse so that the portal is placed where you want it (again, there must be a floor under this for it to put the portal there).

However, here is where you lose me. Quit out of what, the editing window? You should not need to go to options to get back to editing, in fact, you can't restore that window from options.

I can't remember which video went into getting in and out of editing and the entrance room when it's disconnected to the rest of the base, but here's the print version for @DreamingLove:

When you enter the base, you will enter where the portal is, whether that is in the entrance room or elsewhere. If you have moved the entrance portal away from the entrance room, all you need to do is type /editbase 1, and the computer will send you back to the entrance room. You won't have to click the window buttons at that point, because you will already be in editing mode.  Type /stuck to then get into the base, and this will take you back to the portal. When you finish editing, you will be returned to the entrance room, which will not have the portal if you moved it. So again, although you make simply quit the game from here, if you want to leave the base and enter the game, simply type /stuck again, and you will be back in the base at the entry portal, ready to use base facilities or leave to a city zone. If you want to edit the base plot, you must do so from the entry room, so if it's separate from the rest of the base, and you enter elsewhere, simply enter base editing mode again, leave editing mode, and the editor will drop you back at the entrance room, where you can now choose to edit the base plot.

I hope that clears things up for you.

This was perfect. Thank you for taking the time to help me 🙂

  8. I disconnected the small room which allows me to edit the base from the rest of the base and now I can't edit my base. I have seen other people do this and previous I could have sworn I would zone into the small room as the SG leader each time I entered the base but now I enter where the portal is and I can't get into the small room which allows me access to the edit window. Have not been able to find any edit commands.

Turned on Nightlight then launched game. Game looks okay and appears to be working (I'm in PI outside a mission).

Tried turning it on/off while running the game, also no issues.

Game client is fullscreen/borderless running with ultra enabled (+cell shading). I'm using a GTX1060 6Gb, I'm using the most recent version of Win 10, (it updated three days ago).

Didn't try f.lux (don't really care for the way the game looks in night mode, don't find blue light any worse for my sleep patterns/life than any other colour light). 😉

If you can post your specs/setup as well it would give the devs more to work with.

How would I post my specs and set up? A DXDIAG file?

  10. When I turn on the Windows 10 feature (Nightlight) to remove Blue light from the screen, as soon as I click the CoH window (it stops working). It does not do with with my other windowed programs, just CoH. I tried to download software that removes all blue light like f.lux but it does the same thing. I tried in borderless window mode and desktop (full screen) mode. Same thing. And only happens with CoH.

  11. I am trying to dual box on 2 accounts while the server is not full or close to the limitation mentioned in the Terms for dual boxing. The second account I log in to keeps crashing. And when I log into that account first then the primary account crashes. Never had this issue until now. My computer is definitely able to handle it, I have an uber gaming PC. So the only thing I could think of is that the servers must be detecting it and shutting it off somehow? Maybe for the ToT event?

I am running 64-bit client btw.

  12. I don't get the formula and I can't find a straight answer anywhere.

I am trying to create a Boss Only Fire Farm: Arc ID 16361

Boss Settings: Melee fighting preference - 100% experience at Lv.1
Primary Powers: Scorch, Fire Blast, Incinerate, Breath of Fire ((Fiery Melee)

Secondary powers: Flares, Fire Blast, Fire Breath, Blaze (Fire Blast)

I have done MANY fire farms and the best EXP and Influence I have seen come from Brigg's maps.

The information from his farm is below. This information was gathered on a Lv.50 character, who was earning normal EXP and Influence.

These amounts are the Rewards per 1 enemy type defeated in @brigg's farm.

    Minion: 8544 XP / 5,979 Influence

    Lt: 17,088 XP / 20,504 Influence

    Boss: 51,265 EXP / 64,081 Influence

So, I figured a better way to get Influence was to create a Boss only farm, which i did for Arc ID 16361. With all of them being 100% Exp for Lv.1 or greater characters, I expected each enemy to yeild 51k XP and 64K Influence per kill, but mine is WAY less. Like, a 1/5th of what Brigg has.

    Mine:

Boss: 12,817 EXP / 16,021 Influence.... so my gains are WAY less even at 100% EXP for Lv.1 or higher. I think it has something to do with the abilities I chose, cause the EXP amounts change when I change my skills but the formula and explanation AE gives for calculating EXP confuses me... it talks about ALPHA and BETA but the abilities themselves don't show how much ALPHA they give... so how does one know when their mobs are giving as much EXP and Influence as AE's mechanics will allow?
