  1. For now, you can still get the info by going to Data->Reset All Statistics right before you start, then looking in the main window Battle section when you're done. It's not as easy to see as the in-game window, but it'll get you the info.
  2. Ah, gotcha, now I understand what you're looking for. There is a Total Damage stat - look on the Battles tab of the main window - though it's going to count your entire play session, not just one battle. Next time I'm updating the in-game window maybe I'll look into putting DPS on there along with the XP and Inf rates.
  3. You know, that's probably because I never taught HeroStats to recognize Dark Assault! Must have been part of a powerset proliferation that I missed. Along with several other Dominator sets, now that I look. I've added them all to the powerset recognition file, which will be in the next update. I've also attached it here, just overwrite the existing PowerSetData.xml file in your HeroStats directory. Next time you start HeroStats, it should be able to recognize Dark Assault once you've used a few of the powers. PowerSetData.xml
  4. https://sourceforge.net/projects/herostats/files/HeroStats - Stable/v7.4.3.0/ Version 7.4.3.0 Bug Fixes: - HeroStats now understands messages that include a timestamp (which can be enabled in the beta options on Homecoming servers). Thanks @dignition for bringing this to my attention! - Updated URLs for update check.
  5. That may be part of your problem. If you have an HSData tab, then it needs to have the right channels. Try setting it up like this: https://herostats.blogspot.com/2008/05/scanner-changes-for-issue-12.html If that still doesn't work, then I'll need to take a look at what's going on by looking at your HSD file. Log in your character, beat up a few enemies, then save and grab the HSD file from your HeroStats directory and post it here.
  6. You shouldn't need anything special, as long as you haven't modified your chat settings to remove combat log channels. Just make sure HeroStats is running while you're logged into the game! Mostly it just picks up data as you play. You can also try the in-game mode if you want to see some more info! You're correct that HeroStats gets info from the combat log. Unfortunately, that log doesn't tell you what other players are doing. You see your own damage/healing/etc (mostly...there's some missing stuff) but not anything about other players. So it's not really feasible to do any kind of comparisons across multiple players.
  7. Good news, this already exists! In the Hero Options, go to the Timers tab, and uncheck the Recharge Timers option. This is a per-character setting so you'll need to do it once for each character you have, but if you do it on the "_default" character then it will also take effect for any new characters you create.
  8. Thank you for sending that info over, that allowed me to find the problem! You're using the new beta feature to add timestamps to chat messages, and that's confusing HeroStats. If you turn those off, it should go back to normal. I will definitely be making an update that works with those new messages! Keep an eye out for it!
  9. That is just incredibly weird, never seen that before with the setup you have. You could try removing the "HSData" tab name from the Hero Options, which will make HeroStats try to read from other tabs. Only other thing I can think of is maybe deleting your HSData tab, restart the game, then recreate it and restart HeroStats. If you want to keep trying to troubleshoot, you can also try changing the logging (in the global options) to Debug. Play for a few minutes then attach the HSLogFile here (zipped if it's too big), maybe I'll see something that will make sense.
  10. It looks like the scanner is working fine, based on the Hero Information tab and everything that's in your chat message log. So it must be something with how HeroStats is processing your messages. The simplest way to check that is to try resetting HeroStats to base configuration. Shut it down, then go into your HeroStats directory and delete your HeroStatsConfig.xml and HeroConfigurations.xml files. That will delete the hero and global options, so next time HeroStats starts up you'll get the default values. Hopefully that works, and then you can go ahead and change any options that you want.
  11. A few basic questions: - Which version of HeroStats? Make sure you've got the latest from https://sourceforge.net/projects/herostats/ - Which CoH server are you on? - If you do View->Chat Messages (after being logged in long enough for some messages to come through the HSData channel), does it show anything? - Which channels are on your HSData tab? - Which fields are filled in when you do View -> Show Hero Information? Might be able to figure it out with some of this info!
  12. Someone asked about my build for Ayburn, my Invuln/Fire tank. So, here we are! It's not completely min-max-ed or anything, but it works fine for me. 13. https://sourceforge.net/projects/herostats/files/HeroStats%20-%20Stable/v7.4.2.1/ Version 7.4.2.1 Power Updates: - Added a Rage Drop timer, since stacking Rage no longer avoids the drop. Bug Fixes: - Fixed a bug causing in-game window date/time display to be cut off.
  14. That's probably a version issue. Not all of the files were made in the latest version.
  15. https://sourceforge.net/projects/herostats/files/HeroStats%20-%20Stable/v7.4.2.0/ Version 7.4.2.0 Bug Fixes: - Fixed a bug causing in-game window buff timers for non-pet powers to fail when "Show pet buffs received" is off. - Fixed display issue for existing in-game window timers when adjusting font size. - Fixed cut-off numbers on last XP display on the in-game window.
  16. https://sourceforge.net/projects/herostats/files/HeroStats%20-%20Stable/v7.4.1.0/ Version 7.4.1.0 New Features: - New hero options to turn off XP and XP rate display in the in-game window (on the hero config In-Game tab). - Split hero options to show influence and prestige in the in-game window (on the hero config In-Game tab) so they can be set individually. Bug Fixes: - Fixed in-game window timer display width calculations to avoid cut-off power names and times greater than 10 minutes. - Set both buff and recharge timers to always display in mm:ss format for consistency. - Fixed rare crash when there is a question mark in the current character name. Remember, you can get notification of new updates with version 7.4.0.0 and higher! Just go into the Global Options and enable automatic version checking.
  17. Happy Kindependence day everyone! Look forward to seeing many of you in a few hours!
  18. That share link I used was terrible, you're right. I put it on the HeroStats server instead, try the new link in the OP above.
  19. Our weekly all-Kin groups are great fun, sure this one will be even better!
  20. https://sourceforge.net/projects/herostats/files/HeroStats%20-%20Stable/v7.4.0.0/ Version 7.4.0.0 Bug Fixes: - The update check functionality is back! Fresh HeroStats installs will check for updates automatically by default. You may need to go into the global options and enable automatic checking if you have an older installation. You can always check for updates manually using Help->Check for Updates.
  21. View->Drops It's not a great user interface, as all the drops are treated the same...recipes, salvage, Vanguard merits, regular enhancements...but at least it gives you a count.
  22. Version 7.3.0.0 New Features: - Added global option (Options tab) "Auto-adjust game client window" to allow the in-game always-on-top window to work even when CoH is in full-screen mode. This is off by default, since it works by adjusting the game client window width (to one pixel wider than desktop) and I don't want to do that to anyone who hasn't explicitly allowed it. - Added hero option (In-Game tab) "Show pet buffs received" which will cause your in-game buff list to include buffs that target your pets. This is off by default. - Added global option (new Fonts tab) "In-game window font size" which does exactly what it says. https://sourceforge.net/projects/herostats/files/HeroStats%20-%20Stable/v7.3.0.0/ Check out the new in-game window option and let me know what you think! At some point I'll probably do the main window also, just a matter of making the time. We have a solution! Special thanks to @Koosemose who discovered the weird workaround and provided some sample code that I've incorporated. There's no actual change to how HeroStats works, but Koosemose discovered that if you set your full-screen CoH game client window to one pixel wider than your desktop size, then the existing always-on-top functionality works. So I added an option to force that change to the game client window whenever you put HeroStats into in-game window mode. It's a workaround, but it's worked for me, hopefully it works for everyone else too!
  23. Yes, it's possible, but it will require me to make some fairly significant changes to the UI code. It was written a *long* time ago and is not as extensible as one would like. It's a good idea and something that I really ought to do as Good Coding Practice anyway. Perhaps I'll do it a small bit at a time, since overhauling everything is a major undertaking. Which parts do you use most? Hero info panel, main statistics window, in-game window? I tried those and couldn't get the HeroStats scanner to work. Something they've done to the executable is keeping it from working, and my usual scanner-fixing techniques didn't work. I haven't spent much time trying to figure it out since I don't play on those servers, but if someone else wants to figure it out I'd be happy to incorporate whatever changes are needed into the main code. As always, anyone interested in poking around can find the HeroStats code on Sourceforge.
  24. https://sourceforge.net/projects/herostats/files/HeroStats%20-%20Stable/v7.2.1.0/ Version 7.2.1.0 Bug Fixes: - HeroStats will no longer infinitely try to reconnect to a dead game client process ID. Power Updates: - Fixed basic damage for powers like Quills. Had to remove tracking for FlashPulse to do it, which doesn't have a detectably different message.
  25. Would you like a few thousand build concepts? Of course you would. Shared by request of the maintainer of the archive...not me, but a fellow member of Repeat Offenders. Mids' Builds Archive Over 3500 builds ... http://herostats.sourceforge.net/files/Mids%20Builds%20Archives%201905.7z Please use the 7zip gui from https://www.7-zip.org/ ... Use of other tools is at your own risk, and is not supported. Legend: Primary Secondary Epic Pools - First Middle Last UniqueID - [issue].mxd Each build is given what should be a random hash identifier. B Fighting C Invisibility F Flight H Speed J Leaping L Leadership M Medicine N Fitness P Manipulation S Sorcery T Teleportation U Utility_Belt W Force_of_Will X Experimentation For easier searching: You can copy the whole thing to your hard drive, then use windows search on it. This is how I search for specific sets. The archive is at times organized oddly, to say the least. Common Problems: Mid's may need to be installed with "Run as Admin" Multiple Versions of Mids - You should uninstall ALL versions of Mid's, then reinstall the latest version. The current version is dated 2019/05 Some older versions of Mids did not register installation with "Control Panel -> Programs and Features". They do not show up in "Control Panel -> Programs and Features", and can not be uninstalled by "Control Panel -> Programs and Features". These have to be uninstalled by hand, and/or you have to set the file associations manually. Open Mids by hand. Verify it says "201905" at the top of the screen. If it is not 201905, or newer, then you either have not installed the correct version, or you still have multiple versions installed. If it is 201905 or newer; Then use File -> Open to manually browse to and open the file. If this works, but double clicking does not, then it is an issue with your local install and the file associations, and/or you still have multiple/old versions installed. Try Manually setting the correct Mids as the program to open MXD files: Right Click an .MXD and setting "Open With" Note: There have been over the years various alternate Mids versions, any builds saved in an alternate version must be opened in only that version.
