    /Kinetics is also a very good choice for Plant, since if you're looking for that you're probably looking for AoE, so you're probably playing with large mob sizes.

     

    Grav is also a good contender, and Grav/Storm handles both single-target and AoE well (since it uses Wormhole to leverage Tornado and Lightning Storm's small-radius AoEs into actually being... AoE). Grav/Traps is also solid in both AoE and ST, with Grav's single-target damage backed up by Wormholing spawns into Trip Mine/Poison Gas Trap/Caltrops/Acid Mortar/little green elves 😉 . When Wormhole is up, it's great, with the downside being that you're really depending on teleporting mobs into the kill area, so it's dependent upon Wormhole's 90-second recharge.

    Hmm. Illu Storm looks like the choice if its also versus a hard target, AV/GM, I know traps is a good thing too but just thought about what would be a troller where i could dish out the most damage.

  2. You can reach the softcap with some frankenslotting, here it is for SLEN, but you give up resistances, which can be filled in with Meltdown later

    The decision to skip Dark Regeneration was bold, but 3x +End procs + Panacea will help alleviate recovery issues.

     

    Siphon Life may need some adjustments to improve its healing amount, but that would only make a real difference in EoE-less tanking.

    Do you mean Dark Consumption? 

     

    If so, I think the best place to replace it would be with Shadow Maul, those can be interchangeable since the AoE can still be slotted for the toxic res.

     

    That doesn't get gimped by the recovery debuffs?

    I was messing around with a build found in "Farm Fresh" for scrappers and converted to brutes.  The scrapper build was all arounder 45%  defense for some reason which looks like a fun PVE I might try, but on the brute I made separate Smashing/Lethal build or Fire defense.  

     

    Smashing/Lethal - 48% melee as well, wasn't intending for that.  No Build Momentum, Titan Sweep instead; extra attack doesn't hurt...except the bad guys.  Can put in BM and tweak (Sweep giving some defense in the IO set), not a fan of build ups anymore but assume it gives the +charge stack similar to water blast for a few attacks while the recharge of the power kills it for me.

    I couldn't tell if you felt you were stuck doing it 'the hard way' or looking forward to it.  🙂

    Also, a thread like this one has pretty broad appeal so I think a lot of people who are about to start incarnate content might be checking it out.

    Yea, I think I could have clarified that a bit better, so far, I've got a TW/Bio scrapper and a Illu/Rad troller who'd be coming to the table. From there, I'm just looking at what else would fill out the slots well. Once all the level shifts get acquired, it'll be a lot easier, but initially it'll probably be a bunch of Lambda runs before anyhting else.

    Hmm, you're right. I think the v key is not bound to anything important, so I might use that one. That's a good idea since I won't need to be doing ctrl+number pressing and it makes it a little easier.

     

    I actually use the vendor to limit certain inspiration drops, so I might want to make a bind that hits those, and get it to bind to one button, since there's a limit on the size of the bind

  9. Hey guys, trying to flesh out an idea here and am thinking about what would be some good options / viable choices with regards to this.

     

    Let's say you and your static team have now hit 50, and you want to start taking on the incarnate Trials, none of you have any level shifts, nor do you have alphas, so you're going to have to go about it the hard way. You jump into your initial Lambda's, BAFs, Keyes because these are the initial ones. You don't have any destinies to shoot your stats over the roof, and all the enemies got that +4 looming on you difference.

     

    What would you want on your team to make this a more pleasant experience? My thoughts on some of the bare min of toons would be along the lines of . . .

     

    TW/ Scrapper

    Cold/ Defender

    Brute/Tank that can 90% resistance(Or get close enough)

    /Thermal, Pain, or Emp

     

    I kind of want to run it with the bare minimum of players, 8/12 respectively, but for the first few ones at least until toons get incarnate'd out, I figure we'd need to have some amount of debuffs, -regen and the like.

     

    What would you guys bring?

  12. And here is the other one, if you wanted to get all your defenses save for negative/psi to softcap

     

    If you like your toon enough, this may be another thing you can roll into. However, you could also go the route where you get resistances instead, and kind of easily cap S/L/someother resistance type, since that usually gives a bit more survivability.

    This gets you S/L/E defense. (With agility, although 43 is still enough for most)

     

    To be honest, if you were down for doing Purples/ATOs/WinterIOs you could do All defenses except Psi, as well as have a bit more recharge.

     

    But --> Siphon speed can stack up to 3 times, that's 60% recharge, with Hasten, that becomes 130%. You don't need a lot of rech on top of that to get to your perma hasten when fighting, you just need to auto siphon speed.

     

    I can post this one, which is closer to a budget, and then one where it's capped out.

  15. I've used a TW/Bio onna fire farm with no issues, and that one comes with taunt baked into it's auras. 

     

    The /Fire in comparison is slightly more damage when FE is up, but the problem you run into is that burn is really good, but it kind of shunts your rotation a little bit, since your TW attacks do so much. 

     

    However, you can seriously get a lot of recharge and effectively have a really good TW rotation between burns, I have one that I can post when I get to my computer, but the difficulty is that while you do go for damage, having to softcap defenses means you lose out on potential rech

  16. Softcapped S/L defense helps for mitigation in a lot of content, 

    Then, from here you can also choose something other than Mu, it's just used here for AoEs, but you probably want another single target attack like what was mentioned.

  17. Does anyone have ideas on how to build/slot this out? I built out a Thugs/Time a little while back with help through the forums and googling, but I can't seem to find the elusive Demons/Storm that supposedly has the highest DPS potential.

     

    Just wanted to ask if you guys have any builds or suggestions for it.

  18. Dark Armor is nice because you can get 90% resistances to ALL except for Toxic, as well as basically softcap most of your defenses. It's an extremely nice Incarnate tank since at those levels you can basically cover up a lot of the pain points with incarnates. Low level stuff shouldn't be too bad, but you can't be as spammy with your attacks. (Just utilize those temp powers)

    Dark Regen can be slotted to also give +end with the proc, so you have a super fast heal that can also recover some endurance, but this usually just offsets the cost of Dark Regen(Which is considered one of the best heals of the game because of how much it does and how fast it recharges)

     

    You basically have to go after Ageless / Conserve Power since that'll help manage your endurance. The additional +end is useful too from Physical perfection.

  19. Hmm, this is a great thing because I've wanted to make my toons have as close to SS as possible, without needing to get it. It looks like I can get by with Ninja run if I also happen to add in a few movement speed buffs along the way. 


    Mainly because I'll build toons as tight as possible dropping travel powers, this is a good way for me to chase after having similar speed, albeit I don't know if I'd give up slots for the sake of it solely, but it'd be fun for toons where I don't try to minmax as hard.

  20. Having some mechanism for Fire to be able to perform on top of itself would be nice though, since it's claim to fame is more damage through the additional burn, but, when it comes to Fire Melee specifically, it seems like it underperforms a lot compared to other sets, seemingly because the base damages seem to be set up not in their favor. 

    Fire Blast, which doesn't really have this issue, finds itself with essentially the same base damage across the board as every other set, but with the added bonus of having a DoT afterwards.

     

    Because thematically, it'd be kind of nice having a Fire attack set a target ablaze, and that target would catch fire to other enemy groups. While this may not necessarily be the most "heroic" thing to do, it is something that might be nice to have a mechanic where you can set an enemy ablaze, where things leading into it would be either the fire damage DoT stacking, or extending as long as the target is on fire.

  21. You can cap S/L defenses, which cover a lot of what you'll face in most content.

     

    This one utilizes Meltdown/Rune of Protection with around 30 seconds of downtime. You can get this lower by focusing on recharge, but what makes a toon super survivable is not getting hit, and whatever gets through not doing much damage, so thus you have the Meltdown/RoP rotation.
