Thats nearly 2 Dollar Bill's build as a Mids File I just gave Supression and Frag Grenade the 6er Bonus so no Range IO on 6th Slot by Supression and no 6th Slot Knockdown Overwhelming Force on Frag Grenade. I like the 2x Resist to Toxic, Psionic and Mezz better. Crabbermind Vers 2 Dollar Bill.mbd

I actully wanted to play a MM but due to the fact that i have no clue which i want to play I swapped over to Crab Spider Soldier because I always wanted to try a Crabbermind. But you need for it a lot of global recharge. Still the question is should I go for one of Maelwys builds or with 2 Dollar Bill's. The whole concept is different Maelwys are Melee and much more focused on damage and survivability (?) and 2 Dollar Bill's is purely ranged and seems more like a mid damage type with mostly on supporting your minions. And which of these Ancillary Summons is the better choice Blaster, Widow, Guardian or Striker?

Which of these Builds is worth a try? And is crabbermind budget build? an option? Looking for a playable crabbermind with perma pets and good damage and survivability

Returning Ill/Rad - Build Critiques and Updates
benai replied to v a p o r w a v e's topic in Controller
Hm, the build is no longer up to date via Mids Reborn. But why dont you take Superior Invisibilty instead of Group Invisibility? I would switch out Maneuvers for Hover and Mutation for Fly or at least one And swap Boxing for Kick to apply Forced Feedback +Recharge unique. -
Not a lot of talk about Ninja/Marine....hows it working out for everyone?
benai replied to Crysis's topic in Mastermind
So that means /Marine is now the new /Time? Thinking currently between Ninjas, Mercs or Bots for either /Marine or /Time. I wish Beasts wouldnt suck so much. I am currently tending more to Ninjas then the other two even through they are melee and melee primaries have a disadvantage due to ae attacks. -
MM primary also with matching secondary? (best synergy)
benai replied to benai's topic in Mastermind
I liked the idea of Beast/Kinetics to still be using Fortify Pack and and still have Damage Buff in form of Fulcrum Shift. But maybe Beast and Marine would do the same trick which has also +dmg, +togit +def +resist and a lot more. Melee has the problem that it will take hugh amount of area damage. With Bots and Mercs you can just use group fly and be safe for most of the damage. So when they want to rework Beasts they have to take that in consideration or it will be not better. And Ninjas perform in terms of Melee to a certain amount way better then Beasts and they dont need Fortify Pack (+def -dmg or flat 5% def when you dont have dmg buff (Pack Mentality)). They have higher def and much higher damage. You have 3 buffs one with bow and your shortlived version with smoke bomb. My current setting is Robotics or Mercs with either Marine or Time or Ninja with Marine or Time. -
MM primary also with matching secondary? (best synergy)

Mercs and Beast are very much depending on you activitating their survival skill Serum or Fortify Pack and keep it active. As far as my gameplay knowledge takes me which can only be kept up by having a good amount of recharge, global recharge and hasten. Serum is here the better version (you dont lose damage like with Fortify Pack but you gain damage) when you can get it into perma and fast enough to counterplay the decay. And your Beasts Howl and Roar have a 15 second duration but a 60 second cooldown. And the effect of recharge is not an option. That puts you even more on jeopardy to survive and do damage. Whats dead cant do damage, gain loot or have fun. Then you have those on the other hand like Necro (Soul Extraction), Demons (Hell on Earth), Thugs (Gang Wars) were you get a hugh damage burst when you use these abilities. Which is from my perspective a good chunk of their damage potential the faster the recharge the better. But you dont lose your minions when you dont keep track like with Serum and Fortify Pack. While I would prefer Demons over Thugs and Necro in this case. Ninjas (maybe belong also in the second categorie because of Smoke Bomb (stealth and stealth attack)) and Bots (Maintenance Drone) seem to be strong just with their two equip powers and Maintenance Drone is a nice gimmik. Yeah, Necro and Dark are very strong in the "you cant hit me" field. But when I reread this whole topic again in the end Ninjas or Bots seem to match my taste the best. They are not massively depending on a skill like Mercs or Beasts and dont lose damage when you are not on high recharge due to Smoke Bomb has a far lower recharge by default. So that left me with Ninja/Time/Mace, Ninja/Marine/....... or Bots/......./......... (FF, CD, Time with Mace or maybe Marine and Kinetics). -
MM primary also with matching secondary? (best synergy)
benai replied to benai's topic in Mastermind
And with Hell on Earth you have a mule power like Gang Wars on Thugs and Soul Extraction on Necromancy which lets you more freely Frankenslot your MM. The problem with the MM is it starts to get in the right direction when you have your Auras before that even when you have the rest they are still squishy. Which are at least 30Mill with luck. And your minions are not only your lifeforce but also your main damage force (proccs, debuffs and actual attacks). Resummoning them costs you a lot of time, energy, recasts of your 2 minion buffs and is all in all annoying. My biggest problem is to focus on one char and go for it. My current idea is either Mercs/Marine, Demon/Marine or Thugs/Marine. Maybe Demons or Robotics would be best because of the owner shielding and in addition to that Demons can heal you while Robotics can heal themself via Protector Bots and Healing Drone. And both of them are quite good in terms of damage too. Mercs seem to hold the current trophy for best in damage and beast worst in damage because all the others got buffed. That doesnt mean they are bad in terms of damage. But Demons and Robotics were always good (pre buff they were the leading primaries for an MM). Robotics is nice when you get the Assault Bots Naplam Rocket in place. Thugs have for me the problem as soon as they spread or an Enforcer is gone or to far away they lose def, tohit and damage because of their leadership auras. And without Auras (from enhancement, leadership from Enforcer and player) they have no resist and no def expect of Bruiser at all. (I dont count the single Resist of the Enforcer) So my least favorable option of those that I like. I dont know how much of an area effect Serum or Fortify Pack has but it seem at least Serum has a large enough radius to always get all 6 Soldiers buffed. So the radius is much higher then the Enforcer Auras. For Fortify Pack I actually never payed that much attention towards it. But my guess is with Serum and Fortify Pack Hasten would be a good option to keep the buff permanently on your Minions. Maybe I am overthinking this and in the end as long as you slot them correctly, which is a hassle in itself, it doesnt matter at all. And for Neiskas tip to plan it out before. I was always bad in making builds in this game. I had a basic idea of what i need to slot but nothing for sure. -
MM primary also with matching secondary? (best synergy)
benai replied to benai's topic in Mastermind
I prefer Ninjas and Mercs over all other primaries. After that comes Thugs. If Beast doesnt have Fortify pack I would go with them as first choice of all even through they are currently the worst in damage and the perma howling also reduces damage because they cant attack. But i dont know which is the choice for beasts. You lose damage because of fortify pack and so you need either kinetics with fulcrum shift or marine with shifting tides to get your damage back again. Demons are nice because of their high resist, heal, buff - feels like robots but only with resist instead of def. Do you have a built for a well-build mercs or demons/marine MM? Whast the current way to go for ninja? -
Hallo, after a longer break of playing CoH I am currently back and back to play MMs. My current question is, is it only a good idea to match primary with secondary that have matching resist or def builds? I know that MMs are McFrankslot Chaddingtons but is it better and least annoying to pair def+def/resist+resist with each other or is a mixture also a good option without the need of even more frankenslotting? You have your 6 must use auras: 2 x +5% defense to all 1 x +10% aoe defense 2 x +10% resistance to all 1 x +15% resistance + pet regen which is combined: - 10% defense to all + 10% to aoe defense - 35% resistance Defensive primaries: Ninja (5 melee, 1 ranged), Beast (melee), Robots (ranged + def buff for MM) Resistent primaries: Demons (melee + resist buff for MM), Necros (5 melee, 1 ranged), Mercs (ranged) mixed primaries: Thugs (1 melee, 5 ranged) - basically Def from Enforcers Leadership Auras only Bruiser (Melee) has noteworthy resistance Defensive secondaries: Cold, Force Field, Time, Traps, Dark, Empathy (single target Def Buff) Resistant secondaries: Nature, Sonic, Thermal, Electrical, Pain mixed secondaries: Marine Debuff or Buff secondaries: Debuff: Poison, Radiation, Trick Arrow Buff: Kinetics (Speed, Damage, Endurance) Attack: Storm (sorta Def)

And when I look for a good build, how do I know that this is a suitable one because I have zero clue which enhancement mixture is needed. Because a MM is 100% mixed and frankenslotting. I think I go as main for Ninjas/Time/Mace, Mercs/FF/Mace or one of the common MM bots build so either Bots/FF/mace or Bots/Traps/Soul.
-
I had always a problem with robotics because it seemed compared to the other primaries overdone while the others underperform against it. Demons always looked like a mixture of Robots and Thugs. On live Robots/FF, Robots/Traps, Thugs/Traps or Thugs/Dark where good - when it is correct they only buffed Ninja and Mercs with one of the last patches maybe Necros (?). /Time is from my point of view good with everything and in terms of a secondaries the first pick for MM. /Dark was never in my choice for an MM - not because it may be bad, which it isnt, because i dont like the gameplay style. Most of the secondaries seems not good for the MM or just unoptimized for MM. Stuff like /FF /Traps, /Time /Fire seems always be the first choices for any primary. I never tested /Dark /Cold but /Dark also seems to be often picked and well known secondary. When i would go for /fire it would be with Demons not only theme matching but it seem quite fitting. For me i prefer currently /Traps over /FF, because of the easier gameplay mode, the only disadvantge is the long recharge for stuff like Triage Bacon, Acid Mortar when you dont have 5x LotG recharge which is quite expensive it sucks. Is for Bots/Traps which APP/PPP should i use? Power Boost as far as you said before isnt working with Traps and from my point on with Bots Shields it can work but you dont know when htey cast it. Do you put in slots into your two upgrade skills because they show enhance defence/resistant with either IO Defence/restistant and later one Sets for actually +def/+resi to improve your minions or for selfbuffs like knockback/-down protection/+toxic/+psionic def/+resi? What is Freaklympics arc?
-
I use Power boost before i use Shields or Farsight. But when i read this here so, I think I need to rethink my slotting in general. Less of a pure slotting more of a mixed slotting and focus more to its purpose. So not like in the Builds you can see here from Drakken, but more for the effects of proccs and co like Chance for debuff resi, chance for xxx damage, buff auras etc pp. Then i need to look for either a blueprint or a inspiration because these whole enhancement system - I am still not into it. Mostly i get the Buff for pets from Sovereign Rights (+resi), Edict of Master (+def), Call to Arms (+def), Expedient Reinforcement (+resi) and Superior Mark of Spremacy (+resi +regen - which i had never the money for)

Interesting combinations. Funny thing is same of these easy combinations I have already like Ninja/Time/Mace, Bots/FF/Mace, Bots/Traps/Soul, Thugs/Time/Mace with Scorpion Armor and Power Boost. Power boost is mostly set on auto cast or used on cooldown. Like i said above my Ninja/Time/Mace MM is quite squishy. The Ninjas are quite fast dead even through i have slotted all 4 pet auras and have Farsight. Good/playable are for me Bots/FF and Bots/Traps because of the selfbubble, heal and heal drone. I prefer Traps over FF but i like FF better. Traps is better in terms of seeing your buffs better. Your Shield Generator a minion, on death exploding entity. While you have to recast both FF Shields every 4 Minutes like Generator or with zoning unlike Shield Generator and that you still cant shield your self is stupid AF like the fact that your two Minion upgrades are not auto skills. The Generator also gives you Shield. But you miss therefore the toggle bubble, but you dont run then such an endurance heavy secondary. What i like to play the most is Ninja/Time/Mace, Mercs/FF/Mace and Bots/FF-Traps/Mace-Soul and Beast/kin balance each other. So with Defence based go for Agility or Musculature Alpha Core or do you just always go for Musculature Alpha Core?

Hallo, I like to play MM's. Currently i have tested out different combinations but the biggest issue i have is that my minions die alot (TF,SF, radio missions etc) - none of these is endslotted. My thought was that a defensive (FF (+def) or sonic(+res)) based build would do better but it didnt worked out as i wanted. Tried it with Aid Others (Medicine) but due to its close range its annoying. I have come to the conclussion that primaries with fixed skill needs are not to my liking (Serum, Fortify Pack) because they leave your minions vulnerbale and the current recharge or with Fortify Pack the needed Pack Mentality Stacks is annoying to build up and not garantueed. The Arsonist (Thugs) and the Medic (Mercenaries) seems to have a hugh problem with running directly in the enemies weapons. My current idea is to go to secondaries with heal, buffs and maybe debuffs. Which then would reduce the secondary pool to nature, empathy, fire, pain and radiation maybe time. But i am not sure which of them would be a good stable option with an according primary. My current builds are: 50 Robotics/Force Field --> does ok because of healer bot and drone - endurance heavy as hell 50 Mercenaries/Force Field 50 Ninjas/Time --> very squishy 38 Robotics/Traps --> works because of the Robotics 31 Ninjas/Empathy --> is currently played and nice with heals and Fortitude placed at the 3 higher minions 45 Beasts/Kinetics -> good for group because of /kin - everyone loves speed, damage and endurance boost :-) 31 Thugs/Sonic 33 Beast/Sonic 46 Necro/Dark 29 Thugs/Time .......... and so on Any tips, help or build suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi, yes I have seen this and for me the argument between Snarky and Infinitum was still ongoing just not finished and stopped at some point and not ending in an build. Thats why i asked for a build to go for. Both of these build are quite different and as a newcomer I cant compare them because i dont know what is important and what isnt. Would be a Tanker a better option for SS/Inv then Inv/SS?
-
Hallo, i am looking for a viable build for a Super Strength / Invulnerablitiy to maybe later one use it to farm. I have found two Tanker SS/Inv so far but i dont know how viable they are for a brute. One is from Briggs and the other is from Brother Mutant 73 greetings
