Looks like most of them are from 2019 - pre Issue 27 - not all the suggested builds will work the same way now, fwiw.

MASH is probably one of the most rerun TV series, currently on MeTV so I still watch an episode or 6 (as well as Hogan's Heroes.. "I see nothink!"), so it might not be that unusual for youngsters to have seen it. Now, if someone was to play a Barney Fife knockoff then it would be amazing for young'ins to recognize it.
Now there's a theme for a CC: 60's TV characters. And a trivia contest to recognize them.
I have a Fire/Dev blaster, Doc Burnz, a third gen from Frank Burns. Only one player has commented they knew it was from MASH (longer write up), but great conversation ensued.Old ain’t easy, that’s why they won’t let the young do it... or something like that.

Dark Armor, with any secondary I tried.
I am not dissing what it can become. The pain of running and trying to level up the end hog that isn’t really tough enough before becoming a fully slotted, IO’d, incarnate build is a sense of masochism that I do not ascribe to.
I am trying to get a 50 with all Tanker primaries, and I have duplicates of several. Dark is the only one I dread running.
I don’t get it. Most likely a failure to understand on my part.
-
As the VEAT AT uses a ‘tree’ system, this is an unrealized opportunity for many sets, especially some of the older ones, imho.
The incarnate power tree is nominally similar.
For example... Those ‘buff others only’ powers?
What if you could choose- Standard Insulation Field, buff others only
or
- PBAoE Imsulation field, say 70% effective, but affects caster, and can’t be used beyond the sphere?
I think there are many sets who would benefit from choices of A or B (Build up bs Follow up for the Night Widow choices).

... you know, this is something I'd love to see be enemy specific.
Demons, ghosts, fire imps, Girlfriends from Hell, anything really fire based? No fear effect.
Robotic? Delayed fear effect. Or a fear -> hold (processors overheated and they shut down.)
Everything else? Darn right they're running away. They're on *fire.* That crap hurts!
So anything on fire gets Fear?
That may bring Fire down a few pegs.
As you pointed out, that makes sense.

Not yet.. (L31), I have alt-i-tis, so it's not my focus-du-jour.
I was using "destroy" in that blaster-y sense of spreading my damage liberally and rapidly.

I like my secondary choice to leverage the primary set’s secondary effects. So you are looking at knockback.
I tend to focus on mitigation for blasters secondary effects (unless I can get more damage).
Energy offers great help for this, either as a ranged blaster, or as a kick bootay blapper.
I recently discovered Martial and I am running another blaster with it. Martial is light on power choices and slotting for me, so I have more options in building my defenses.
Both are great with Energy.

Why this combo?
It is fun, and very controlling. Lots of holds, the lockdown or destroy option is nice.

Your idea is more likely to work. The more I considered some of the implications of likely abuses of my ideas, the less I felt my idea could or even should be considered.
-
I would prefer knockback to either do damage if a flying mob hits an immovable object, take some damage relative to the percentage of distance not yet traveled. Power Thrust a Hellion who flies 45’, but hits a wall 15’ away, do 2/3 of the ‘minor KB damage bonus’ or something . I would not advocate for KU or KD.. yet... I haven’t thought this all the way through, and the SA proc complicates this.
The other idea is the billiards transfer. The Hellion above hits one of his mates and splits his remaining KB distance/damage with his victim, I mean, his friend.

EA was so good I forced myself to play other secondaries to make myself appreciate it it more when I give myself the treat of playing it.
Energy Aura...if it comes to Tanks, I will be beyond gleeful.

I created a spreadsheet last week to keep track of which of my ‘current fave’ toons have finished whichever TF. I don’t collect badges per se, but I do like the accolade related ones.
I was surprised that John E. Snow (formerly several names, C0ld Snap and Johnny Snow) had done Positron (OG variant), Synapse, and Yin (or the III equivalent). As Manti is this Week’s SF he may squeeze that in.
-
Curious how this would play out in the 801 series in AE. The Crucible of tough tests.
-
Clearly the distance (60’ or 80’ etc).
But... Any effects on the size of the AoE or PBAoE? Getting a few fun ideas, if those can change...

Purple patch monsters (or whatever allows the Halloween like creatures to be fought across different levels).
Random patrols and regular routes.
Hazards? Include flyers. Bigger mobs. Faction vs faction like PVP zones had (have? Sirens Call had these, woe unto those who pulled that aggro unexpectedly). Increase critter perception by 20% or more. If a mob is attacked and not defeated in X time, give a 200’ radius buff to Per (or whatever helps awareness). In the way-back era, I recall Knives of Artemis (?) seemed to have long range perception that allowed them to attack, not just shoot like the Nemesis snipers.
Rando. Buffs to mods by day/encounter/something. Could be the group, individual, whatever. Maybe remove a weakness, buff a strength, or give a new twist.
Not yet another individual monster. Stop the onslaught of Group Y vs that Place for 10 minutes, or hold the line so none shall pass, etc.

What was the deal with Targeting Drone doing something with the AR snipe that it did not with other snipes?
I seem to remember something like that.,
Adds like 20% dog all the time, but when you are out of combat a glowing ring appears around your icon. That offers extra damage (80%) for one shot. I used it for Sniper but I didn’t check to see if it affected other attacks.

Hit fast, hit really hard, and team.
Defense is helpful, but letting something start the alpha is about all you need.
I blapped when a sentinel was our ‘tank’ and it worked - just enough time to not take all on the chin, then blaster-lock on one target at a time if you are fighting grapes and you aren’t the biggest boom on the team.

how many GMs can you herd to portal Corp.
One of my less proud moments on live was doing this to a particularly snarky, immature, and rude bunch of unfriendly twerps masquerading as heroes.
The GMs won the day, there was much whinging, and I didn’t really feel all that much better.
I think there are more police drones now.

PFF is normally a one slot wonder of overkill, defensively. I would check the MM forums, but take 2 slots off of PFF, Maneuvers, Weave, and Tough (8 slots total) and put those into the Boyz. /respec is your friend. You can respec at 26 or 27 and throw 6 slots into that T8 Assault bot.
I thought bots could take some resist or defense slotting for some reason. -
EM will hit like a truck.
DM won’t die as easily, not that either will.

Looks great, wish I could have made it. Had to get the youngest back to college on Saturday and had some final tasks Friday night to get ready.
Fire/MA: the Brunker, and compilation of Fire Armor builds.

I rolled one last week. Since L23 or so, it has been quite impressive for damage.
I almost always team, and with 2-3 others (or more) this is a supercharged blowtorch. Very impressive!
Now L37.
