Finally got around to fighting the new council, I liked the galaxy ones but I hated the dark eclipse archons, they res and the holds from my ice powers weren't working half the time, and it seemed like they had an auto-hit attack, died twice in one mission on 8x+3 solo (though the game put +4's and those were the ones that defeated me.) on effectively the same mob.  On a toon with every IO with as much defense as I could stack in every category, barrier, Inner will ect and still said blaster couldn't keep alive effectively.  I ended up putting in an extra kb protection IO before continuing.  Maybe I should have tested this all on beta or something.

An auto hit attack.....that hits hard as heck.  RIP defense users I guess.

The other things I liked, I also fought the CoT 8x+2 solo, they seemed a lot more fun as I simply had to react and watch that I was attacking the right mobs.  Though it wa sa cave and the mobs were rather scattered, though I don't try to fight in tar patches/quakes ect either.  Honestly they seem to be likely easier simply due to not having auto-hit abilities.  I like they got equivilants of Ruin, Madness and Agony mages(and nice touch with the huge explode power on near defeat, make me keep a distance).

CoT = fun to fight again(so far anyways), mobs debuff/cc patches is a nice touch so far as it can be moved out of(or teleport out of if immobed/slowed ect), I can react to them and they react to me, its fun.
Council = Why do they have to have an auto-hit attack?  Wasn't it bad enough Ralaruu had auto-hit mobs in abundance?  I mean do we really want them to be ludicrously hard now I dunno, I wasn't having fun fighting council once I moved from +2 to +3(and the game tossed +4's at me).  Simply the fact that the vampire archons are always going to turn into super warwolves(all of them in the entire map did this to me by the way), and seem to have extra high resistance to holds and can auto-hit occasionally before they turn, not very soloable anymore unless your stacked with dark resists.  At least, thats how I'm left feeling about it anyways.  I felt like it was all luck in the end and keeping a distance from the enemies so they don't auto-hit on me.

I'm just going to mention that you will see +4's even on a +3 setting; that's how the game works, even when you play at +0. At +0 some enemies will con even to you, and some will con one level over you. That doesn't change just because you upped the difficulty settings.

  3. I was only kind of skimming, but I see a lot of talk about how busy Electrical Affinity is and I noticed that you missed a key element in your write up. Standing in Faraday Cage lets you build stacks of the charge effect thing. This set is only as busy as you make it, and if your team is good, you don't have to be pushing a button just because it's up.

So /Kins can now Speedboost and ID themselves when those abilities were made AoE?

The T3 I think is a single target ability you use to speed boost yourself. The mez protect ability is maybe the only thing /Kin can't do to themself, but the vast majority of buffs Kin provides to others, it also provides to itself.

Is there any reason why we still have these?

Why do some sets loses 50%+ of their effectiveness if they have no one to cast their buffs on yet other powersets do not? Its not like Empathy is going to be OP if players can cast Fortitude on themselves.

You now have implemented QoL changes where certain ST shields and buffs affect the whole party except the person using the power. You end up in situations where everyone wants to group with a /Kin but no one actually wants to play one because the /Kin player gets all the grunt work while everyone else gets the fun.

So is this something that can be looked at?

Erm, you are aware that every buff /Kin provides to others it also provides to itself, yeah?

Which aura are you using for the frost dragon head/mouth area, out of interest? Looks like it does a better job of hiding the spectrum face beneath than the bioplasma eyes aura I was using.

I had to go log into her and double check lol. It is the Tendrils -> Eye Tendrils aura

  9. This first one is my attempt to replicate that cool use of the dragon helm on the female body; it's not quite as good, the helm doesn't come down far enough/chains don't go up high enough, but it was a fun experiment.

It's been so long since I've played/posted that I can't remember if I showed off this look for Sister Apocalypse, but I'm rather fond of how it turned out.

I skipped the healing power (might have been a mistake) but yeah darkest night is great, except for the very taxing end consumption 😞

I might be doing it wrong, but it just seems that it's not really working out for my playstyle. I'll beef him up to level 32 to see where things are going though.

Why would you skip the heal power? It's one of the most powerful heals in the game, keeps you alive, and also provides debuffs to the mob you're using it on. Use Darkest Night on your hardest target.

i have a demon/thermal MM, Fast Food Manager, whipping his employees to work harder! but demons synergises well with thermal since the thermal shields reinforce the mid tier demon's ember shield and the demon's resistances stack easily. so you can get high resistances early on for your demons, and eventually cap some resistance at 90%. it's a fun combo. 🙂

Oh derp, I totally forgot to give a shoutout to Demons/Thermal - thematic and highly effective.

I've got the pet window consistently open now, after following your directions.

It looks like I'll need to summon lore pets to be able to temporarily given commands to the phants. Otherwise there's no option to do that.

    Thank you very much!

My pleasure! I find it kind of ironic that trollers/doms don't also have the pet window available by default like masterminds. Trollers/doms may not be able to command their pets, but it's nice to see when they expire and such.

  13. To start with, what are your goals with the character? Pain & Kin both lean themselves more towards grouping (though they can be played solo, of course). Kin brings buffs that pretty much everyone loves and likes to play up close in melee range; min/max with Kin is to go Fire/Kin.

Fire/Dark is also a very solid/strong pairing. You should be getting recharge slotted into Tar Patch and dropping that as often as you can. You should be able to strafe/kite through your tar patch. Take Howling Twilight and wield it offensively; I believe the stun on it is auto-hit. You also have Fearsome Stare for CC; blast that and then single target groups down if your AoE isn't spicy enough to down 'em safely.

If you still want to go Pain or Kin (I mean, we've 1000 slots, try 'em all!), then Pain you can pretty much pair with anything. It's a heal set. If you don't want to do Fire, Kin also pairs well with Electric for a sapper style build. But Kin is another that goes with pretty much any blast set that plays well in melee.

Since the copyright has expired...surprised we have not seen more version Winnie the Pooh or Mickey Mouse

Before folks go crazy with these, only very specific versions have had their copyright expire - the Winnie the Pooh from the books (If you make one with a red shirt, you are still in violation of Disney's copyright on their version), and the Steamboat Willie Mickey & Minnie. Using any other variation is still a violation.

  15. Fully agreed with trying out any secondary that sounds fun to you; you never know what will click!

That said, both suggestions from evetsleep are great, and I'll also tack on Demons/Storm, Demons/Traps, Demons/Sonic, Demons/Nature. Truly, they work with pretty much everything. Demons/Storm is my favorite so far--absolute end hog, but my god does she shred through things. I don't run heals on her either; if the demons die, I resummon them.

Sorry if that came across as a bit awkward. It wasn't meant to be.

    Please ignore that comment.

    Sorry for that.

It's okay, I know you were trying to joke and I'm not sure why it came across as a bit off.

My daughter is an only child and is naturally very shy, quiet, and very clingy to me. She's doing well with school, but I wanted her to have some sort of activity outside of school where we can be around other girls/kids, and since she's not into sports, we chose Girl Scouts. Yeah, the girls can be a bit wild sometimes, but I've also gotten to watch my daughter start coming out of her shell, making new friends, and they get to learn and do so many really cool things and it lets her and I bond as well. ^_^

I apologize for getting upset. Hope you all have a great run today! 😄
