  1. I need to try and get a better shot of this character, though the darkness kinda suits her. Panthera Darke - Dark Melee/Psi Armor Brute.

  4. I think I got everyone's character on the signup list, but let me know if I messed anything up. Thanks to everyone who made it today! We had a good group, great PuGs and smashed both Treespec 2 and 3. Ignore my lack of image cropping because I was trying to be fast.

  6. I am not sure if we need to cancel this week (and potentially consider having a summer hiatus or something since we seem to have lost quite a few of our players). I think I will show up in the morning, but if we don't get folks to show/join, I'll cancel it.

I suspected as much, but my ADHD brain was like "needs clarification." xD I haven't played with the Arsenal secondary much; my brain tends to want to make it more ranged than melee, but with the aura on Pyro, I imagine you'd want to use the melee attacks. Do you use Trip Mine on yours? If it's anything like the one in Traps/Devices, seems like an easy skip to me. Seems like it might be a fun pairing and now I want to try one lol.
  8. All dom secondaries are Assault sets--did you mean Arsenal? I was debating doing that for a secondary. On beta I went with Pyro/Sonic since Pyro has an aura that wants you to be in melee and Sonic does as well, but I didn't get to push it very far due to a lack of time. Pyro/Energy looked like it might be good too.

  11. @FrauleinMental Not sure if we even have enough people for this tomorrow, but I decided to change my character to Selina Psycat - Psy Melee/Shield Scrapper if we do. Edit: Actually, sorry, my RL plans changed at the last minute and I can't make it.
  12. Have you actually played this on the beta? The changes really aren't that bad, especially after they made changes based on our feedback. Plant is a tad more versatile and has a lot more build options now instead of relying on 2 crutch powers.
  13. Thank you! I thought I had seen notes improving it, but I haven't been able to get in and test it again. Real life kicking my butt. I'm glad it functions more in the way they intended now.
  14. Rad Melee's biggest issues are that its cast times are super slow. It can hit pretty hard, but if you team, you're going to be doing a lot of corpse blasting, and like Hatecube said, be at risk of dying trying to get your attacks off. You're better off using one of the many better primaries like Energy Melee.
  15. I'm just going to throw it out there not to expect the Spirit Tree to perform like a full tanker. I haven't been able to test the newest beta build, but Spirit Tree's taunt has been pretty poor and not really doing anything to hold aggro. If you haven't, I highly suggest jumping on the open beta to test the power. It also has a limited duration, but that might not be as much of an issue now that they've removed the mob changes that increased mob regen and was making Plant slow to kill things on beta. Definitely don't discount Marine as a secondary; it's quite powerful. For Doms, most of them don't really have strong AoE, but Fire and Savage are good Plant pairings. Ice and Earth might also be alright.
  16. Some people like to make that sort of combo work. It's definitely a great concept for a siren character and it's not that it won't work, it's just worth noting that it will require a different sort of playstyle if you're more used to playing only exclusively melee/ranged. I have a couple of marine characters I joust with as I've just gotten used to that playstyle playing an Energy/Martial Blaster, MM's, and Doms. My siren is currently a Symphony/Fire Dom, and if they ever manage to create a Water Assault set for doms, I'd probably convert her in a heartbeat, lol. I'm jealous I didn't think of doing a Symphony/Marine controller for a siren! It'll be interesting to see what you think of the combo after you play it.
  17. Ah yes, if you use Jet Stream within Storm Cell it will KD instead of repel I believe. Thank you all for clarifying.
  18. Does Kinetics repel have actual repel in it? If it does, a KB -> KD IO isn't going to do much anyway, just like with Hurricane. Repel is considered different to KB/KD.

  21. It's hard when there's no sign ups--can't always just hope people are going to show up last minute.
  22. These changes might not be impactful at level 50, but the vast majority of the game is not played at level 50. Most of the game happens while leveling, and these changes are noticeable and hurt casual players, people using SO's/common IOs, and certain AT/powerset combos unproportionally. As of my last round of beta testing, my Plant/Marine Controller at level 20 took the same amount of time to kill even leveled Council mobs as my Elec/Sonic Controller did (also at level 20) to kill +1 mobs. I need to go test a wider variety of AT's/Powersets, but I'm time limited. I understand the change from a dev point of view, but it's not feeling fun as a player, especially a sub-50 non-twinked player. I shouldn't have to get the START attacks just to make sure I can out-damage mob regen and beating on a mob for a longer period of time doesn't make the gameplay more fun.
  23. Mobs had their regen buffed this patch too along with tanker damage taking a nerf. 😞
  24. I love this idea--mo options, mo better. Also, the tip of the staff doesn't have to be stabby to be effective--most staff options don't have a pointy bit on the end of them. You hit someone in the diaphragm with the end of a staff and you're going to knock the air out of them, even if it's blunt. You're also narrowing the area of impact, thus essentially being able to hit harder/do more damage even with the blunted in if you put enough force behind the jab. I don't think that having a scythe means you'd have to only be hitting with the blade piece--the entire thing is a weapon.
