< Thanks for stopping by my post > FIRST, SOME BACKSTORY: Since rejoining COH, I've been trying to find the right AT and Powers for my standard gamer-tag SmokenBongs. I've tried Plant/Fire & Earth/Earth in both Controller and Dominator and haven't loved the play. I've explored Fire/Fire in a number of sets and it hasn't felt right either... This has brought me to Earth/Fire Dominator or Controller. THE HERO CONCEPT: SmokenBongs Man is a guy who has uncovered a magic bong which looked a lot like a helmet and when placed on his head, he gained the power of Earth and Fire. I've made my Earth Powers look green and used the red lava effect, so they look a little like fluffy nugs with red hairs 😃. I encase my enemies in them and then "light them up" to leave them passive and on the ground "napping" lol. THE GOAL: I'd like to keep my theme and maximize damage while remaining as survivable as possible. CHANGES BEING DEBATED: I understand I'll want to get at least my ranged defense capped and may want to replace Combat Jumping and Super Jump for Hover and Fly so I can abuse that ranged defense (though I believe I still need to raise it somehow) and stay out of melee range. Dark/Dark/Soul - How do I add more dmg to my build?

Thanks for the advice, I'll try increasing the procs of those 2 powers and see if that leaves me feeling good or if I need to add procs to more powers as Doc Suggested. I honestly only had the Ghost Widow's Set in there as a filler and will be happy to replace it! Also, any recommendations on Incarnate choices? -

Doc Ranger, you are the originator of the build I was trying to mimic! Thank you so much for sharing your finished product! Do you have any recommendations on incarnates? Does anyone with proc experience have any suggestions on upping DPS, but still being survivable? Appreciate it! -
1st off, thanks for taking the time to stop by my post! If the originator of the build sees this, I greatly apologize that I am unable to give you proper credit as it has allowed me to create a hero which I truly feel powerful on and thoroughly enjoy! During my previous scanning of the forums, I found your build and tried to recreate it. Sadly, I lost the original before I was able to complete it, but I believe I got close. For anyone who has not experienced the Dark/Dark/Soul Controller, it's a battlefield master! You lock most stuff down and you remove the ability of the remaining targets to hit anything. You'll be providing amazing support to your team via buffs and debuffs with ample healing ability for whatever gets through. Your pets are cool when they can survive (though they get lost sometimes and can die easily). The only thing I seem to be wanting is more dmg... I know, I want it all! haha I've only recently came back to the game and hadn't gotten to experience much of the late game content when I previously played. Now that I'm 50 and geared her fairly well (I think), I've decided that Obscura Luna (going for the Dark Moon theme which fits the powers and her SOOOOO well) is going to be my main! Now it's time to work on getting her incarnates and such. This brings me to a couple questions that I'm hoping some kind heroes or villains can assist me with: 1) Do you have any tips on improving the build linked below? 2) Will I use my incarnates to boost damage or am I missing another way? 3) Does anyone have recommendations on incarnates? (I've never experienced them, so it's all new to me) 4) Is there an ideal chain I should be following for AOE and Single Target? Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated! @Infinitum I'd say the most important things are being able to play solo, feel like I'm contributing something in a group, and I like the idea of fire for the character concept.

Hey @Infinitum I am highly intrigued by the lodestar build and have started a Fire / Psi Tanker "The Searing Seer". I'm wondering if you can provide me any tips on leveling with the build. Some of it's strengths and weaknesses. Really any advice is appreciated as I'm just coming back to the game from many years and am trying to find a char that speaks to me. Thanks much for this thread btw. It's given me lots of things to try in the Tanker AT.

Thanks for the well thought out and written response! So I decided that I won't worry about the comparisons with other AT's and rolled an Earth / Earth Dom. Only lvl 25 so far, but I dig the control I have over a battlefield. I'm working with other power pools to work on compensating for the lack of defense as I can see the dangers of melee range. Overall lots of fun so far! If anyone has any build suggestions for Earth / Earth I'd be very interested. Both in lvling and in endgame. Also, not sure what to go for on the 3rd power set. I'm guessing something that will buff my D like maybe Dark??? I'm really just getting back into this game after MANY years away and appreciate any advice from experienced players.

Hello All! A friend recently got me into COH Homecoming after learning that I played back in the day and I'm super excited to rejoin! Iike the idea of a Shield / Savage Tank as I've got a costume made, but I'm unsure of how to build him. Are there any experienced Tanks that have played those power sets together and could offer build advice? Does anyone have any strong opinions on why any alternate primary power would be better with Savage? Any tips and / or build shares are greatly appreciated!

Hello All! A friend recently got me into COH Homecoming after learning that I played back in the day and I'm super excited to rejoin! I've got an idea for a Ice / Rad power set Dominator, but I'm unsure of how to build him. Are there any experienced Dominators that have played those power sets together? Does anyone have any strong opinions on why any alternate secondary power would be better for ice? Any tips and / or build shares are greatly appreciated!
