  1. I've tried /Bio on a couple of characters. I like the numbers on Bio, didn't care for the play. Possibly too many clickies? Takes me out of my zen button mashing.
  2. Starting a new Brute project. Want to be the best "all rounder" type of melee character. Would like to be able to hold Aggro when PUGing and enough ST DPS to solo many AVs in the assorted end game arcs, but also AOE for general clear speed. So, Claws for the attack set, Brute with Taunt for the Aggro control. Stuck on the secondary. I've got a couple builds I've been tinkering with, soliciting any feedback on them. First up, Claws/EA "Hold my beer". This is a stupidly survivable character. Could easily have hit the Incarnate cap on multiple Defense types, but really, Overload is up about 1/2 the time so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Two Endurance management powers so shouldn't need much help there. Could use more Recharge, depending on how often Forced Feedback procs in Focus? For comparison, on the other side of the spectrum, "Hot Knife" inspired by one of @Sovera builds. Burn Patch, Claw stuff, next spawn. Much more fragile but, I would think, silly damage output for any mob that sticks around in the Burn patch. Maybe because it fell down. Or it got Teleported there, and then fell down. Again. And Again.
  3. Claws/Fire build skips Shockwave? Fiddling with adding it back in and swapping out Flying for Teleportation - Fold Space. What is the reasoning behind skipping Shockwave, Burn just does enough it doesn't matter?
  4. Hi! Heavily Frankensloted build as I wasn't sure what set bonuses to chase. No idea how to slot the Imps, so just went Acc/Dam and Procs. Thanks!

  6. Hi! I've defeated a lot of Winter Horde mobs over the last day, no badge yet. I seem to recall alignment sometimes causing an issue? Is that still the case?
  7. Thanks! I use Ninja Run when I want to see my costume ; ) But the EndRdx in a Prestige Sprint is a great idea for any character if you want to keep a Stealth toggle on tap. Totally doing that on every character going forward. Yep, I tinkered a bit more and added the ATO globals. I've got 5 LotG Global recharges already, so I don't need another in Mind Link, but tweaked the slotting a bit. Mind Link is close enough to perma with Force Feedback proc or Ageless that the main delay is going to be waiting for me to click it. Updated below:
  8. Solid advice, CT is now just the base slot with Luck of the Gamble Def/Global Rech, Melee Def still over the Incarnate cap with Mindlink. "Only" 52% without Mindlink. Added + Absorb to Health, Added Obliterate Energy Proc to Psychic Wail, and added a Touch of Death Negative Energy Damage proc in Swipe. Will absolutely boost the Recharge in Hasten to 55. Thanks!
  9. This is for Soloing Incarnate story arcs and missions at medium to high difficulty. Aura of Confusion is a Panic Button. Rune of Protection gets fired off when Mindlink is under 60 seconds of recharge. Mindlink / Hasten are about 10 seconds away from perma, if the Forced Feedback proc fires Mindlink shouldn't have any downtime. Mostly looking for feedback on the Single Target chain, but any input is welcome. Edit: Updated with the advice below, same build as is posted down thread. This will likely be the only character I ever use the Dual Builds on as I'll also likely make a version for teaming. The second build will likely drop Sorcery and Fighting for Leadership and more CC.   10. Hi! Fiddling with Mids on some theory crafting Alts and wondering if anyone wants to share their play experience / thoughts on the build below or similar concepts. EM/Dark running Oppressive Gloom and stacking the Disorients from the EM. Most of the attacks also have a proc of some kind, Knockdowns in Whirling Hands, Power Crash, Bone Smasher and Energy Transfer, an Immobilize in Oppressive Gloom, hold in Energy Punch... 'cause why not. Should keep everything staggering or flopping so Dark Regen shouldn't get worked to hard. Could do this concept as a tank, but EM is slow enough to level on Brute. Comment away!   11. Thank you! Made some changes. 6 Slot Gale with Overwhelming Force for the KD protection. Dropped the fighting pool for Force of Will, juggled sets and slots a bit. Net End is now 2.07 gain / sec, and two panic buttons, Unleash Potential and Force of Nature. S/L only 71.58% but much better Endurance management. I may swap out one Enhancement on Tornado and Lighting Storm for KB to KD, I'll give it a try each way eventually and see how much difference it makes. Thanks again! Any other thoughts are welcome.
  12. Hi there, my CoH is quite rusty. Just looking to see if I missed anything obvious, or if there are any tweaks to be made. This is a respec at 50 "stretch" build to aim for. Some of the more exotic sets will likely have place holders for a while. The character name is Au-Natural, so Force of Nature is a bit of a theme pick, but I'm not particularly attached to the Epic picks so feel free to recommend power swaps.   13. I hover scrapped a Martial Arts / Invuln as a main back on live. Hover doesn't follow correctly, you have to give it a little tap. It's not for everyone but Fly is my favorite Travel power, Hover adds to defense, and now I can use all those Wing and Jet Pack costume options. But mostly, I like to Fly. Minor changes. Dropped Fighting pool for Leadership which feels wrong on a Scrapper but since the Fighting Pool was two mostly wasted picks it was the easiest to swap out. Moved some sets and slots around....   14. Only level 12 so far, but Spin works at any altitude while flying. If the rest works while jumping should be good to go, thank you! Yeah, S/L Resistance is capped and then some, tough to figure out what sets to drop. The S/L Resistance just kept piling up while chasing other things. Happen to know how much Global Recharge does claws need to hit the optimal DPS chain? : )

  20. Staff Fighting seems poor for Brutes. Long Animations for most of the attacks so your Fury bar doesn't build very fast. Seems a better scrapper set, IMO.
