  2. Okay, this will give me lots to think about, but I need to consider the usual level progression, @Darmian, even if history tells us one thing, there'll be some need for concessions here.

Consider First Ward, for instance. It's a level 20-30 area, but as you pointed out, it would happen after BAF (an Incarnate Trial). So, if one was to follow historical progression, First Ward would be accessed only as an Ouroboros arc, and not as a regular area of the game.

I may add your findings as an Appendix, in order to allow for others to follow the historical route, but if we are talking about normal level progression, I need to put arcs in a crescent order of leveling.

At least it's how I think this guide could be useful for a Praetorian character.

Oh, it was a genuine "I don't get how it all fits together and a guide would be really nice" remark. I'd love to see a kind of detailed explanation or something!

Technically, the Dream Doctor gives you the tip for Dilemma Diabolique (and you even get a badge if you do his personal story prior to DD), but that meant run all DA for that, and I don't really think it's really necessary for a Praetorian to deal with that considering all other things they have on their plate.
Now, about the Incarnate Trial order, I followed this page: https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Incarnate_Trial

Nice production quality and stylistic choices - it reminds me of indie RPG pamphlets in a way I can't quite put my finger on.  Good use of images and a comprehensive guide to Praetorian content.

Thanks! I wrote this on a hour or two of boredom at work, and as I'm used to Prae content, it was second nature to try to do this.

As a fellow (if lapsed) guide-writer, I do suggest putting formatted for the forums for ease of access, if only because it's much more mobile friendly. Your name is a bit hard to read on the first page - perhaps in version 2, a text box or something would help with the ease of reading. I grew up in the era of GameFAQs .txt game guides, so perhaps that's just me being oldskool.

A pure txt version for the forums? I think I can do that. I don't think it'll be as pretty though (unless I use some ascii art as some GameFAQs used in the past.
In any case, I'll consider editing things on the cover if I create a version 2.

Are you sure about the order of the incarnate trials? They do have a canonical order that I think involves the Dark Astoria story arcs, but that might be wrong. It would be really useful for someone to untangle that mess from a plot-purist point of view.

I've checked the Wiki for the order, but I may have messed things up when compiling. If you find something out of order or that requires changing, please point me in the right direction.

This is me being slightly petty, but as you explicitly say it's you who compiled it, a "Resources Used and Further Information" section at the end would be courteous to those whose information you've used as it's unlikely you've only compiled it from one source. I usually try to give credit where I've got information from someone else (even little things like macros, etc). Alternatively, putting sources (including the web address in the opening paragraph) in footnotes can make it feel cleaner than a full text web address.

I've only consulted Redlynne's post and the Wiki. On a version 2 I'll be sure to include the wiki url as well. And now you mention the macro... It's well possible I'm using your NoXP macro for so long that I forgot about that (all my go to macros are in a txt file, so I usually just load the bindfile and forget about them). Another thing to add!

  5. I’ve followed @Redlynne’s Loyalist <-> Resistance ... switching alignments EVERY TIME for Praetorians forum post  (https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/1797-loyalistresistance-
switching-alignments-every-time-for-praetorians/) lots of times. It helped me to enjoy the full Praetoria storyline in multiple characters, and I wouldn’t be able to write this guide with their original work.

But I wanted to do add to that. I didn’t want only the path through Praetoria, but also have all Praetorian content in a single place for easy reference. So, in order to expand Redlynne’s work (I didn't include everything they did), I added First Ward and Night Ward content and more, always listing the expected level range for the contacts, as this is important: once you outlevel a contact, your only option to do that particular arc is using Ouroboros.

So, here's a PDF with the full content for your enjoyment.

It's frustrating that the one person I am trying to get to engage and fill out their suggestion is the one person not giving me these answers. I am not opposed to the idea. I am not even arguing against the idea. I am trying to get the poster to devote themselves to actually selling his/her/their suggestion.

It may sound strange to you, but -- gasp! -- I do have a life outside the game. This means I may not be available at request to reply to you when you demand. Luckily, this is a forum, not a chat feed, so messages have permanency and can be checked at a later hour.

But, let me explain to you why I'm replying so late to this. I hope you understand and forgive me for not being here when you expected.

My post was made at 8h54pm, yesterday, about 16 hours ago. I was sleepy. Next thing I did was to hit the bed.

I woke up, went to work, and now that I'm having a lull at my workday, I'm replying to you.

Is this acceptable? Shouldn't it be, I'll refrain from using the forum in order to not disturb anyone else.

Having said that, let me focus on your questions.

    1) Why would this even be needed considering how accessible tailor functions are?

Costumes are more a RP need than anything else. Considering that one would be forced to break a scene to hunt for a Tailor or a Trainer, having the request on demand would make things easier. I could be in a base, away from the cluster of trainers and, may need to walk half a base to reach one. Or I could be in Dark Astoria and move the whole map for that (or warp to a base with a tailor and return). Or even during a mission, perhaps, if you notice how garish you colored your buff powers and everyone is complaining they are too bright.

So, needed? Not really. Convenient? A lot.

    2) What would be the recharge of this accolade power?

I'd risk 5 minutes, same as the Crafting Table (iirc). Maybe you just finished editing and noticed that bug that gives you shoulder pieces or tails on other outfits, even if you were there just to color your powers, so having a big cooldown could be detrimental.

And, as the Crafting Table, it could be something that remain in game for the whole 5 minutes, and can be used by someone else.

Bonus (jokingly): it could have a huge aggro range and low HP, so we could send Serge to die every time we remember he criticized our costume in that Costume Mission, and have a little revenge.

    Any other questions?

  7. What about a personal tailor, maybe tied to the Fashion Victim accolade?

Practical effect: summon a costume creator screen -- it can or no follow you, like the invention accolade that allows you to craft wherever you are.

  8. One of my SGs (mostly used for RP, as it's an apartment complex) has a few members: the leader, 2 other toons as the second highest rank, another as the penultimate rank, and the lowly newest member.

All toons log at least once a week. Demotion period is 100 days.

    I deleted the leader.

The SG leadership then passed to... the lowest and newest member, the one down the line, who was upped to the highest rank.

The player was gracious enough to give the leadership back, but I can see how that could be cause for disaster.

The only cause I can see is the lowest ranked member was the newest and also the one first in alphabetical order, but the leadership should never have been given to them as there are other toons there who outranked them.

  9. I was doing Provost Marchand's arc today and did everything to get Pendragon's Ally and Riptide's Comrade on their respective missions.

    No Badge Earned warning.

Not showing on the Recent Badges list.

I was able to find them in the Accomplishment roll, though.

So I got them, but there's a bug in displaying when I got them and in the Recent badges list.

  10. My headcannon is all Widows belong to a Sorority under Ghost Widow, making specific vows to mutual protect and respect, treating each other as Sisters. Their devotion is to GW specifically, not to Arachnos. It acts like a Secret Order in many ways, even assuming ritualistic aspects under the roof, unknown to anyone but their members.

  11. Sometimes I lose my mouse cursor as well (I keep a second monitor to use a browser, watch something, or just chat in Discord). When that happens, the panic measure is to move the mouse to the up-right (the extra monitor is on my left) corner, so I know where it'll appear so I can move it correctly.

  12. Coming here a little late, but offering my point of view.

Until Sunday, I had 42 toons, over 35 on lvl 50, most fully T4, the others still in T3.

Each toon was created following that idea. The idea could be a different powerset/AT combo, or a character concept, or even a costume.

But as I'm a RPer, I wouldn't have time to properly play all of those. In fact, looking at the list and seeing toons with "Last logged on 180+ days" made me think on why that was happening.

So I made my decision: I'd trim my list. And that would mean really delete toons, not sending them away to other shards in exile.

No. I needed to cut deep.

I selected the toons I've RPed most, and even a couple that I had just created. Moved everyone to the front page.

Then I logged in all others. It didn't matter I was looking at Vet Level 40+. It needed to go.

The only thing I did was to unslot everything and store it on a base. Then... deleted it.

In a few cases, when the powerset was compatible with a RP toon I wanted to keep (like a secondary build -- I have a Fire/Pain Corr and retooled a Fire/Cold Corr to use it as an alternate), I renamed it, changed bio and costume. The rest? Retired forever.

I need even update the thread where I kept my toons' fake comic cover to reflect that... Things to do later.

So, now, I have 11 toons -- including a farmer. -- A total of 18 chars, as there are alternates for some (like I described above). And my upper limit will be 20 chars, but not a single one more, still keeping the 11 chosen ones.

    Was it easy? No way.

But I felt it was the best for me. YMMV.
