I'd like to see the City of Heroes beta Rikti invasion event back in early 2004 get added in future Anniversary events (like how Homecoming recreated the Wedding Event recently), I think it would be a neat recreation for the community to experience that for an event few of us that are still around got to participate in, but that suggestion belongs in a different thread!

The amount of death and carnage during that event still haunts me to this day.

So yeah I'm actually playing the Power arc for the first time.  I did so with the original intention of having Bobcat as a contact, and I still intend to.  But here's my question.  I know that you can theoretically play both sides, being loyal to on side while working the other as a "double agent".  I just want to make sure I don't lock myself out of anything.  Bobcat specifically.

So I am about to do the last Praetor Sinclair mission, where the Loyalist choice is to take Belladonna down, the Resistance choice is to let her escape.  So if I let her escape and join the Resistance, does that lock out Bobcat as a contact?  Or will I still be able to do her missions?

If you let Belladonna escape and side with the Resistance you will not be able to do the Loyalist Power arcs (Dr. Hetzfeld, Bobcat, Neuron) until you do another morality mission and select the Loyalist option.

Well, it's not quite 6 LotG Global IOs, but you can get 6x +7.5% Recharge bonuses.  Up to 10 in fact.

Because bonuses from Global IOs, like the LotG Special, are counted separately from IO set bonuses for the Max-of-5 for a given numeric bonus.

Example: A build with a Snipe Power and 5 Defense Powers.

    • At least 5-slot the Snipe with Sting of the Manticore Snipe IO set.  The 5-set bonus is...+7.5% Recharge bonus!
    • And slot a LotG Special in each Defense Power!

    Voilà!  6x +7.5% Rechargbe bonuses!

Or better yet, 5 slot Apocalypse for a 10% recharge bonus!

I completed the "The Great Escape" zone event in Neutropolis, met all the stages and defeated the boss at the end (Lucan) but I did not receive the LAUREATE Badge.

Just to be sure, have you checked under the Accomplishment category in your badge list?

Hardly a ground breaking revelatory piece, more just content filler. Still all the publicity our home gets, is pretty good

Yeah, it had as much teeth as a ScreenRant column but it was kind of cool when I saw the CoH splash screen on my news feed.

    They are both still there.

You can still get contacts and run missions in Faultline.

There are probably still missions in-game - most likely from an Origin contact - that will send you to Boomtown. Plus to Giant Monsters spawn there.

I was alluding to the fact that after 20+ years they (and other destroyed zones) have barely been revitalized by Paragon City.  Sure, some work has been done but they are still a mess of shattered streets and toppled buildings. Let's get those neighborhoods repaired!

this is a paid opinion for the Make Paragon Great Again PAC, cosponsored by the Family run Steelworkers Union of Paragon, all rights reserved, trademarks property of their respective owners, etc, etc, ad nauseum

Also, as I already said, I'm not getting drawn into this argument again.  I've been 'round and 'round on all these points enough times already.  I've said what I have to say.  So I won't be replying to any further comment on this.

Now that I actually have a high level Inv/SS Tanker, I have a better grasp of the Rage problem than I once did.  I always knew that the SS attacks were underpowered, and that Rage was overpowered.  But I didn't realize just how true that was.  Now I understand that Rage is hilariously overpowered.  And that without it, the SS attacks are... frankly, terrible.

So, I think you have the right idea here.   The tricky thing is, many Tanker and Brute players will scream bloody murder if you touch their version of Rage, because they are accustomed to it.  It's been the way it is for so long that there's no way to avoid that reaction.

Which means that, if we don't want Scrappers to get the current version of Rage, but do want to give them Super Strength, then the Scrapper version of Super Strength has to be different from the Tanker/Brute version.  Substantially different.  Now, there is precedent for this.  Scrapper Energy Melee is quite a lot different from the other versions because of its unique mechanic for TF critical hits (in fact, I prefer the Scrapper version of EM, personally, though I still enjoy my EM Brute).

What I'd personally like to see is for a Scrapper version of SS to have improved DPA across the board, but a weaker Rage (with a correspondingly weaker crash), so that the overall performance is about where a Scrapper version of SS should be (which is to say, DPS when factoring in the Critical Strikes proc should compare favorably with Brute and Tanker SS damage to a similar degree that the other shared attack sets do), but where it's not entirely driven by Rage.
