Well the Valentine's event is indeed coming up, but I'd still like to see snow on the ground in Paragon

Gives hugs to everyone, leaves Nutter Butters.

This is a big area where communication is vital. A simple discussion of "Where are our characters at in the relationship?" can go a long way. But remember it's your characters not your players. Have the characters moved toward physical intimacy or not. I'm not saying that you should necessarily get involved in ERP (and in most cases I'd say you shouldn't unless that's really all you're looking for) but it is nice that you establish as players where your relationship is at and then you know what's going on off-camera.
Next, is your relationship progressing? Is there going to be a wedding? If so, do you want to RP that out. If you get married, will you have children? If you have children will you speed run through the pregnancy and speed-age the kids somehow, or will the person carrying the child take some time off that character to have a baby?
These questions are important and should be discussed if you are looking into having your character in that type of relationship. I have two characters who are married, and both are happy in their separate ways, and the relationship/marriages are very different but both extremely rewarding. Also, just because your characters are in a relationship doesn't mean you/they will always be around. You both may have other characters you want to run which may take time as well.
Additionally, and I think this is important. I'm married in RL and although my wife is in game, she doesn't really get into roleplaying, nevertheless, I do make sure that she is also ok with any relationships I have in-game so that she is reassured that they are only in-game. She actually does like to hear the stories about the romances, she just doesn't want to participate.

I have two characters that I couldn't imagine doing away with. The others could probably float away because I haven't developed them enough, but Grey-Ghost and Brick-Wall have both had a lot of development since they began and are both too fun to play for me.

Maybe we can let the villains into PI. They keep shifting to rogue to ToT during the Halloween event anyway.

Although I wouldn't mind if the GMs changed a few of the Billboards once & awhile to advertise in-game events. But to be fair, that may be just one more thing on their plate.

I was merely thinking of the Winter event because it just ended and it's fun and not as all-intensive as the Halloween event is. Also it's winter. I miss the snow

Just throwing out the idea to see if we could get a two-week extension of the Winter event for the new people to enjoy

Um yep, and don't worry, I didn't take any offense. Some people are jerks and I know this. But in RL I'm a teacher of HS students and I do find that if you treat them like mature adults and let them know what you expect, they generally respond well. I emphasized the Code of Conduct because it is the standard that we have in writing, the rest is a part of social learning. I think that if we act as friendly good examples, that's the response we will get.

I feel the best way to deal with new people is be as welcoming as possible and model the behavior that we want to see. Yes, there will always be trolls, but by-and-large most of the people on Homecoming are opening and welcoming. I do think that one of our big advantages is that the game skews older. Most of us have been through the MMO-Spam Wars and know we don't want any part of that.
Continue to be friendly. Explain things to new people and adhere to the Code of Conduct and I believe things will work out well.

I am extremely overjoyed and delighted by this news. Thanks to all of those that put in the hard work to make it possible. Homecoming has become a home to me and I have met more people and had greater experiences than I was every able to do on Live. Thank you!

Many thanks to all that showed up. Both Trixie and I had to leave after Raid 7 due to separate health issues, but many thanks to Chili Bear and Val who carried on in our place. Hopefully next year we will both feel better and do the whole twelve.

The Smushening!!! Trixie's All-Day MSR raid will be happening on Sunday, December 17th. Starting at 11AM EST. There will be at least 12 raids that day run back to back to back to...well you get the point. Come for One! Some! or All! as we smash the Rikti and let them know the true meaning of 'Don't Mess with Our Planet' during the holidays. It's great fun and we hope to see you there.

I think that one has been asked before and it's pretty much a given No on that. I think it would be cool, but it looks like that's just not in the cards.
