Short version: You need to link your Homecoming account before March 31st, 2024 in order to continue playing on this server. If you do not link your account to Homecoming, you won't be able to log in and may lose character items.
We are migrating into the Homecoming servers hardware starting next month. In order to do that, we need to gather consent from players in order to move their data to the Homecoming servers; due to data privacy laws, we can't just copy everyone and figure it out later. Everyone who wants to keep their account intact needs to go through the Homecoming account linking process.
If you have multiple accounts, you must link them each of them individually.
How to create a Homecoming account:
Follow the steps the Getting Started page at Homecoming.
How to link your Homecoming account:
Go to the Game Account page, and look at the bottom. You should see this section:
Click the "Link Homecoming Account" button, and you will be redirected to the Homecoming forums to authorize the login.
Click the button "Continue as (YOUR USERNAME)". You should be directed back to this page:
Click "Back to Game Account" and now the bottom of your page should show your Homecoming account details:
If you can see your Homecoming account details in there, your accounts are linked and you should test that you can access the Vanguard server.
Do this for each account you have. Each account should be linked to a different Homecoming account. If you use the same Homecoming account, your characters will be merged into a single account, and you may lose items in your Email and Character Items, as only those in your first account will be retained.
To unsubscribe from these announcements, login to the forum and uncheck "Receive forum announcements and important notifications by email." in your profile.

And I can't figure out what it wants me to do. The link takes me to a website that doesn't look anything like this website, which makes me not trust it for one. For two, I logged into my account on the forums, in game, and even on the launcher and I can't seem to figure out how to do this. In truth, I thought all of my accounts were already linked to a forum account. These instructions are very poorly written and they make little sense to me. Is anyone else having this kind of trouble? Or is this some kind of fishing junk mail scam?
