The thing about Perez Park is that flying kind of ruins it. You have to see it on foot to really appreciate it. Also, on live it's a really intimidating place when we went there at - what, level 6? 8? We knew that going beyond that gate was going to be dangerous.

So basically, which zones in the game made the biggest impact when you first saw them? For me:
Crey's Folly:
Loading into the zone and seeing Crey's devastation was really amazing. I think I knew a bit about the backstory and seeing this flooded nightmare where normal people used to work was really impressive. The large masses of water also added to the atmosphere, showing the amount of flooding that had taken place.
King's Row:
After the glitz and glamour of Atlas Park and/or Galaxy City, it was startling to see the run-down neighbourhoods of King's Row, with its run-down brownstone buildings (using the term 'brownstone' loosely here). Despite all this, the giant coin with Blue Steel standing in front offers a spot of hope amidst the grime. I did a lot of street sweeps here in the early days.

Founders Falls:
It looks nice, but what grabbed me mostly was the theme, the one with those descending chords. I would sometimes visit the zone just to listen to it!

There's a repeating joke that villains will say when you get in range, something like this:
Villain: "...and then he says, 'Aren't you a little old to be believing in leprechauns?' Then I threw him out the window! Hah! I love that one!"
I'm pretty sure I've seen variations where the line about leprechauns is swapped out for something else, but I haven't been able to document it as of yet.

I will usually make a beeline for the objective and complete it. Then I'll decide just how much murdering I want to do. I often do defeat everything (because it's decent xp) but factors can vary.

I looked through 20+ pages of this subforum and found only one other post with kin/psy, so I figured I would post something here. I had such a character on Virtue and thought I would recreate him but I don't remember a lot about the build and what kind of slotting would work best.
Below is an example of what I have now. I'm sure I don't need to 6-slot Increase Density with Aegis, or Transference with Power Transfer. And I only took Grant Invisibility because I didn't really know what else to pick. And so on. If someone could post a build of their own, it'd be appreciated!

Ok thanks! I will give this some thought, especially the rule of 5, which I wasn't aware of. As far as taking Elude, it seemed like a decent 'uh oh' button in case of AVs or something, but yes I wasn't using it a lot. Granted, by the time most of my characters hit their 40s I feel they have too many powers already. Still, I found one of Bill Z Bubba's builds and will nab some ideas from there. Thanks again!

Almost all my attacks and defences are six-slotted. I'm wondering whether to six-slot eviscerate, or one of the fitness powers instead. Or maybe one of the epics? Endurance isn't too much of a problem unless I try to take out an entire room in one go. Also this guy is mostly for soloing mission arcs, he rarely does group content. So this is my first attempt at a farming brute. Someone who I've seen reliably farm sent me his build, and this is based off of it. So unfortunately and questions of "why did you pick x instead of y" will be met with "because the other guy's build was that way." Sorry. You have to start somewhere, I guess.
The survivability is good so far but I've been testing it very modestly - first with +0x1, then +1x1, then +2x2, etc. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do +4x8 with these bargain bin enhancements.
Endurance seems to be an issue, though. I find that blue bar starting to run out before Consume comes back up. I thought that Superior Conditioning would help with that, but apparently not (or at least, not enough). Maybe I should have put recharge reducers in Consume instead? Any tips would be appreciated.

My blaster is level 25 - actually he just turned 26, maybe I should give it another shot.
Previously when I talked to Hansen, he would tell me to talk to Detective Whatsisface (Hutchenson?) But I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do a bunch of radio missions until it decides to give me Tobias as a contact.

Or I should say, the story arcs that lead to getting him as a contact. On my 25 blaster I finished the arcs for:
Stephenie Peebles > Long Jack
which is supposed to lead, as I understand it, to Tobias Hansen and then Lars Hansen and finally Hess. But after finishing Long Jack's arc...nothing. Do I have to maybe wait another level or two?

I created a Fire/Ice sentinel because I thought the concept was interesting, and it's a very fun character to pewpew around, but I'm not much sure about Ice armor or how the powers should be slotted. Does anyone have a mids build that they can post?
And no, I didn't name the character "Firefrost", if you're wondering
