I can hardly profess to being an expert seeing as mine's only at level 32, but /Elec works well? Mercs stay pretty bunched up so you don't really have to do as much micro with elec as you might normally, there's nice resist buffs + healing and absorb, and the damage buff pairs well with Serum for spikes of extra damage.

Thank you for this research.
One thing that surprises me is that someone once told me that the best blasters are Fire, Ice and Water. Fire and Ice are at the top, but Water is near the bottom.
Water doesn't rank great on single-target testing but absolutely excels at AOE

I really don't play crabs, but here is a Bane build that might give you ideas. It is very difficult to make a melee crab/bane as tanky as a Night Tank. Due to zero DDR and no scaling resists. Base resists are better though and more hp.
This Villain build was built using Mids Reborn 3.2.17

------------Not really something I could reverse engineer into my Crab BUT
You have given me a new build for a long-neglected Huntsman!- 1

Interesting build, I wonder if I could reverse-engineer it and apply it to my cursed melee crab-brute build at all...

Arc ID 55600
E.L.I.T.E's Investigator Kate Shelley, responsible for monitoring smuggling and other suspicious activity in Independence Port's docks, directs you toward a recently drydocked cargo ship, over which a battle between the 5th Column and Council is brewing.
What seems like a fight over mere contraband leads into a pursuit of one of Nosferatu's oldest and most powerful creations, and the twisted madness and hunger for power of those that would use such a monstrosity towards their own ends!
(Warning, difficult AVs in the last 2 missions! Team strongly recommended!)- 2

I've been playing an AR/Energy blaster since the changes and honestly, loving it. Solid damage, snipe, slug, and ignite are a strong ST chain, with beanbag as a little extra crowd control, flamethrower and buckshot for cones and.
Honestly I freaking love Full Auto now. While I get that it should have a higher target cap.
The feeling of having a 90 degree cone + boost range and hitting targets across the entire span of a room is incredible. It owns tbh.- 1

So AR is literally, solidly, "middle of the road" now?
That's quite a step up!- 1

I literally watched my parents go after some with lvl 50 characters, working on their incarnates... But okay... *shrugs* What do I know?
They're different groups with different powersets. You are welcome to verify this for yourself.

*shrugs* I mean... I *DID* read it... but I'd imagine that you'd need to read their given powers, plus, it sounds like they're available at level 50-54, so...
They aren't, the 50-54 5th Column are just the ones that show up in DA.

The Nictus kinda already ARE in AE, but the Warshade Archetype should be in AE, that's for sure, and the Peacebringer AT, too!
I don't mean the Nictus, I mean the specific 5th Column sub-group that appears in the wiki article, please click and read it. It's as they appear in the Hard Mode ITF/Aeon TF, with additional Nictus powers on their regular troops and some extra tech abilities for their robots.
-
Hey, would it be possible to add the https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/5th_Column/Nictus group in full to AE, and perhaps Arachnos with the ASF bonus powers?

Drat. I noted that after the first beta release. Hadn't had a chance to recheck
Hey, I tested the map, and mobs are still disappearing at random when aggroed.
-
On a completely different subject, the Croatoa Winter map in AE has the same bug that certain Kallisti Wharf office maps had, with enemies randomly fading away when aggroed.

So, one character of mine I've really been enjoying playing has been a petless, melee-oriented Crab Spider. I realize, obviously, this is extremely suboptimal as far as min-max, but eh, she's fun and I'm working on a Crabbermind as well.
I'm not necessarily looking for something super tanky, just a build that'll afford her a fair deal of survivability and resistance as she plunges into the heart of packs of enemies and AOEs them to death.
... Also, as a side note, on her current build I've honestly been having pretty good experiences with Cross Punch, of all things.
Any and all help would be appreciated, thanks! -
Oh dang, thanks!

Hey there. I could use a build for a DP/Dark Manipulation blaster, if you please! Thanks!
-
Ah, thank you! That helps! I was thinking personally I'd treat Dark Consumption as a proc nuke, go for a fairly blappery build, maybe. But that's a good starting point!
-
So, I've set my mind to levelling a DP/Dark Manipulation blaster. The two don't seem to be too incompatible (esp soul drain/dark consumption/dark pit + hail of bullets), but I haven't found any suggested builds. If anyone might have one, or just general advice, I'd appreciate it.

Yes, Devouring Earth 50-54 is Praetorian devouring earth, including infested IDF and the pod thingies.
-
AR/Tac Arrow! Solid damage, great utility, lots of soft control.
(And hard control with the top-tier lvl 38 power)- 2
-
Arguably -some- uses but uh... Ice/TA controller. Strong control! Can't damage worth a damn!
-
AR/Dark is … difficult to optimize? But IMHO pretty fun, you get a lot of "soft" crowd control, can lock down bosses easily with chained stuns between disorienting shot and gloom, and with the regen and Opportunity Strikes in Full Auto, plus the soft control, it's pretty easy to stay healed too.

(nevermind)

I did end up picking up Soul Transfer at 49 mostly to make levelling before I get IO'd/Incarnated out easier, though.

Build help for AR/FF
in Corruptor
Posted · Edited by Maris
I don't really play Corrs nor FF, but AR, AR I have insight into
AR is in a really strong place right now, actually, as per Ston's pylon testing on Blasters
Slug > Snipe > Ignite is an incredibly solid ST chain, and you have really good range with cones, I'd recommend skipping M30 Grenade and getting Buckshot, Flamethrower, and Full Auto.
Snipe works the same way other snipes do now, where "in combat" it's uninterruptable, has a shorter cast time, but does less damage.
Ignite is nothing like how it was previously. While it leaves a burn patch on foes targeted on the ground, it primarily functions as a single target DoT with some residual AOE damage, much closer to Incinerate on Sentinels, now. I would not recommend skipping it. It pairs especially well with Scourge on Corrs since, y'know, high-damage single target DoT.
I'd strongly recommend you take a look at what AR is like as of Page 6 before you begin putting a build together.
