Trust and consent are the cornerstones of good villain RP after all. Roleplayers are a prissy bunch and the majority really don't like bad things happening to their characters or having their sensibilities challenged. If you're unsure if your plot is too much, ask them and move on if it is. Eventually you'll find a group that is willing to be the rivals of your own and you can work to make quality conflict driven RP.
After all nothing I hate more than having a long running RP event suddenly crashed when an unbeatable god being character just shows up and ruins everything. For that reason, as hilarious as it would be, Blackwell doesn't order Cesspit to go crash whatever 'Super Teen Beach Party' is currently running.
