I think you can just pop in and grab the badge without completing it. If you want to complete it, you can head to the bank to rob it and defeat the good guys. The initial timer should give you plenty of time to do that, if you would rather complete it as normal, but you can do side quests to add to the timer if needed. Otherwise I think Lord Schweinzer gives you the option to abandon the mission and take the failure, but my memory is pretty hazy there. I personally love mayhem missions so I've always completed them normally and done the side quests, so speedrunning them just for the badge isn't my area of expertise.

Ah ok cool, regular missions you only have 1 abandon every like 24-48 hours or something so I thought that applied to mayhem but if I can take a failure from the contact as many times as I want then I guess thats how it can be done in 15 mins, thank you for the replies!

The contact is Dakota Berg in Brickstown or Tyrka in St. Martial depending if you want to do it blueside or redside, respectively. Setting the third mission of their SSA to -1x2 should be sufficient to get the Hero Slayer badge and unlock Lord Schweinzer to run the mayhem missions.

It's been a while since I have done it but I think 15 minutes seems reasonable to just pop in and get the exploration badge for each mission. The Invader badge wiki page has a list of the coordinates for each exploration badge (use the copy link on the wiki page) that you can paste into chat and head straight to the badge.

So you can simply pop in and grab the badge and not complete it? It's timed and you do things to add to the timer right? so does the timer start with very little time or something? How do you cancel or skip or complete the mish to get 9 mishes in 15 mins? Sorry lol maybe I should just do some to educate myself..

    Even though Necro:

If you are doing the Mayhems via Newspaper, appropriate level range needed by the lead.

If you are doing them via Lord Schweinzer, you can run them in any order from him.  He'll give you a particular one, but you can reselect.  In the mission, you'll be exemplered to the highest level for the mission.

I tend to do all the ones that can be accessed via the sub near him first.  (Sometimes you have to abandon and reselect since it will be either the close sub, or the one in the far southwest)

I then do Brickstown (ship in south near ferry), IP (tug in south middle), then Talos and PI (helicopter near Macronville)

And if all you are after is the Invader badge, you can just hit the exploration badges and be done in 15 minutes.  Especially if you have someone talking to Lord Pork to setup the missions.

I was going to do the method the OP said to do, do the bricks signature arc to get the contact that gives all the mayhem missions (the OP didn't say the contacts name?) and do the mayhem missions, I was just wondering how long they take to complete because I was assuming you need to complete a mayhem missions to move to the next. But if you can do 9 missions in 15 minutes it must be pretty quick.

  4. I honestly haven't done a mayhem mission before... I'm assuming you have to complete every mayhem mission to get to the next one? because you can't skip them all right? How long do they typically take to complete?

Edit. Wow necroed lol.. didn't realize this has been dead for 7 months

Let me change that. Should say at least Tier 3. Tier 3 or Tier 4 both work.

The reason why is that it provides a level shift which decreased the value of incoming KB attacks from the mobs.

Ahhh ok gotcha, i understand now! Thanks for the reply!🙂

@Vinyl RichieThe mobs have 0% AoE defense.

Thank you for the reply! And for the fire farm build what's with this about keeping alpha at t3 for kb protection? I don't see anything about kb prot in its info u less I'm missing something..? Any other incarnates that need to be kept at t3?

The crater farm he is alive so far. Early days for testing though, but seems to have enough survival for the new fire farms. I still think a tanker is going to do better than this, but it doesn't seem like a night and day sort of shift.

With a bit more testing he is faceplanting sometimes still. Less often than when I started, but still happening. I am actually finding better AFK results doing the tunnel, plonk him in between 4 groups, coming back in 5 rinse and repeat

Yea I think afk farming still requires a certain level of attention if you don't want him to die.. or do what you do and just run a normal active map and move around when you need to so youbdont have an entire asteroid map attacking you afk. I was hoping that it could actually be fully afk farming but I guess not unless if you go with easier maps with less or lower lvl baddies then it's not really farming any more.

How's this build for afk survivability? The s/l build and suggested farm from this thread seems to die quite often.. I would rather not have to watch a afk farmer seeing as in you know it's afk lol.. it seems like almost half the time when I check on him he's dead from the 10min afk farm that AA made.. the 5min one he usually survives fine.

The AFK fire build has no Burn, but the "how to afk farm" mentions putting Burn on auto.  Should I use Atom Smasher, or is that an error in the build?  Also, mids is showing a Knockback Protection of "1".  Is that correct?

    Thanks!

As far as the kb prot goes, in the OPs post it says that if you keep your alpha at t3 it helps but I don't know how because I don't see kb prot in its info.. hopefully the OP or someone can explain..

I'm wondering if both focused accuracy and tactics aren't just set mules for the recharge bonuses. I turned both off and it didn't seem to make any difference in my ability to clear the map in under 10 mins while afk (assuming the mobs came my way and/or I was able to alt + tab to reposition once in a while).

Yea I'm thinking they aren't needed, with both then off and taking kismet out of CJ I'm still hitting, the occasional miss but nothing to worry about. I'm fine with sacrificing kismet and dropping a whole toggle (hover as I mentioned in a previous post) to get an occasional miss.

Is there a minimum accuracy requirement for NPCs with Super Reflexes?

I don't know, I'm sure there is.. speaking of that I have noticed a few missed here or there without the kismet and focused acc on.. I don't know how else to fix this build though, hopefully the OP will explain how to actually use the build for a newb like me to understand lol

  12. I'm sorry last message, it turns I don't need hover either of I sacrifice the kismet in CJ.. I noticed my def was around 47.75, hover is the lowest def buff in my build, so if I turn off hover and take out the kismet from CJ and put in a def +5 IO it brings my def up to 45.06...

I'm running charged armor, tough,  Weave, CJ (replacing the kismet with a def+5 IO), maneuvers, the 2 damage toggles and tactics and its working like a charm!

Ok no more until you reply sorry lol 😋

Shouldn't be end crashing. Let me check tomorrow. I think you might be toggling on something that's just a set mule, but it's been a while since I messed with the build so will need to double check.

I just got home to look at the toggles and it seems like 8-9 are mandatory whether tacitcs needs to be on or not..

There's 11 toggles total including the 2 acc/tohit toggles (focused acc and tactics), to be soft/capped on def and res I need all of the 6 def and res toggles on (charged armor, tough, Weave, CJ, hover, maneuvers) and obvuoustly the 2 damage aura toggles have to be on so thats 8 mandatory toggles... does this build need either tactics and or focused acc on or can it go without?

The only toggle that seems unneeded is static shield, it protects against hold, sleep, disorient, end drain, rec debuff, psi and teleport.. none of those are in a SL farm right? So I can leave SS off I guess..

I'll try with SS off and tactics on along with all the mandatory toggles and see how it goes.

Thank you! I actually noticed that focused acc is a insane end hog I forget the numbers but like double what tactics is and I figure there's tactics so I turned off FA and it's a bit better but still crashing sometimes. And I have my alpha and destiny t4 now so if it was a lack of incarnates before it isn't anymore. So without FA I still have 10 toggles on, and the end crashes sometimes still, is 10 toggles correct? I'm not at home to list exactly which ones.. I guess I should have been smart and read through each toggle and see what ones I actually need because some might not benefit a SL farm it's just been a super busy weekend so I just kinda tried to let him do his own thing lol its odd though because it doesn't crash constantly, ill kinda watch him do a full 5-10 min farm while I'm doing stuff around the house and no crash but then I don't watch him for 20 mins while he's sitting in PD and come back and he's crashed.. he does crash occasionally in the mission too but you know just weird random crashes...

  15. 5 hours ago, Glowman said:

I also had this issue with all tier 3 incarnates. I make sure any travel stuff is off (sprint, etc) and leave maneuvers off. To compensate I eat 2 purples when I park in the middle of the map. That’s plenty of time to take the alpha and def is fine for rest of map.

Ah ok cool, thanks for the tip! If the build isn't working properly with T3s then T4s will hopefully fix that! They should fix it because there was no disclaimer that this build is horrible on end and it might become a problem. would have been nice to know before dumping 600mil into him or however much it was I forget and I'm broke too, this is supposed to be my moneymaker so I can actually start IOing my fun toons finally! That being said, I don't know if it's this specific build but I have been hearing that elec/rad is the king of afk right now so I'll trust it and hope that T4s fix it

  16. I just made the S/L afk build and I'll say that i dont have any incarnates on him yet so I don't have agility or ageless to help but I sent him in the 5 min afk farm and his end crashed in less than a minute with all 11 toggles and just atom smasher on auto.. are all 11 toggles nessicary? Will agility and ageless fix this? Other than the end problem it seems like an amazing afk build though, thank you!

I'd go with fire/kin unless you plan to do a lot of ITF/ASF 4* content then go ice/kin.  Regular 54 mobs die quick enough to make fire great.

No tfs or anything, like I said in my OP it's for a fire farm following build, nothing else. I was thinking also in a farm setting where there's tons of mobs bunched close together and they keep flooding in that the 15 sec duration of blizzard combined with scourge would be pretty deadly. It's easy to kill 1 mob fast but when you have 6 mobs closing in its a bit different.

  18. I realized I was typing a lot so here's a fast version but it would help if you still read through please.. Whats better in a farm setting, rain of fire and inferno or ice storm and blizzard?

Now the long part.. By farm follower build I mean that I will be dual boxing, mainly controlling my brute and have the /kin targeting through me on follow, following me so I can click powers in that toons window when I need.

Now for the reason I'm posting this.. as a farm follower build I will not be very active on this toon, I will only be using the kin powers to buff my brute while throwing out a rain and a nuke on rech, maybe the highest ST attacks to take down straggler EBs faster, I don't know if i would be able to keep up with my brute and more than that on the corr anyway. I know fireball would automatically make fire better for burst aoe if i planned on using it but i dont think i would be while buffing and focusing on my brute and throwing out rain and nuke on rech. So considering I would only be using the rain and nuke, sometimes a ST for a straggler EB that didn't die from AoEs, which is better in a farm setting? Rain of fire and inferno and ice storm and blizzard? Thinking about how each power works and that it will be in a farm setting with huge groups of baddies that keep flooding in and can take a lot of sustained aoe to kill quick.

Inferno, instant burst with some DoT, scourge doesn't really affect this power much and its a instant burst instead of a sustained rain like blizzard that can stay there and keep damaging baddies that walk into it.

Or blizzard, the two things that makes blizzard win in my eyes for a farm setting is that it scourges and its a rain that stays around and keeps damaging/scourging/killing baddies whereas inferno in just a quick burst with some dot.

I know that if I was building a active /kin corr that fire/ would be the best for aoe just because of fireball but take fireball out of the equation and think about it being a farm follower that just buffs and uses rain and nuke.. Whats your opinions? Thank you!

I'll edit this and post my build in like 30 mins for whoever wants to see it. Not at home right now to access mids..

Everytime the Lady Grey TF is completed, there should be a Rikti invasion.

I thought that's how it worked but like I've been in game for a bit now and I've done most of the TFs, trials, zombies, ghost ships, gotten most of the other accolade powers, I just formed a CBX-9 team last night.. I haven't seen a damn invasion and I honestly thought they stopped doing them for some reason.. well it's good to know they are still around! Sorry guys 🤦‍♂️😬

  20. I'm sorry if there is a way to get it I've used this forums search function, nothing and the wiki still says it's just from invasions still..

I kinda just need it on my badge hunter... I just need it... I want it back... when I look at my eye of the magus I miss it's partner.. I know invasions stopped years before the sunset but please..

If you want to see something just look.. Alright there captain obvious, i think the OP can figure that out for themselves, its much easier to see your character change stance then to constantly keep looking around to see if you have aggro. Like the OP said there is a reason the stance exists..

  22. Yea you're right, they are the missions after the arc sorry... but still same problem.. maria has no more mishes and no badge and skipping mishes.. weird.. I wasn't paying attention to the order of meshes in the arc so I don't know if that was messed up too.. and I don't know for sure of its malaise.

I have a fresh  MJ arc on my lvl 48 brute so I'll try to pump out the arc and as many after mishes and keep track of the order of all the mishes as I can tonight and tomorrow and see if it happens again
