Thank you. I’ll open the files once I get to my computer.

I’d be very interested in your build. I just hit lvl 40 after doing Numina on Sunday. I do get knocked around a lot. KB resist is something to work on when I get to slotting some sets. also, I did take burn as soon as it was available. Why fiery embrace? I get the buff it gives you for a very short period, but it doesn’t help defensively which is what I really need right now and the amount of offense I have already seems great. I have taken haste, jump and CJ, and the fighting suite. I am still wrestling with what epic pool to take. and as I mentioned in the original post. Maneuvers I was planning to use for LoTG.
-
I was thinking Maneuvers just to get an extra LoTG slotted, the other two I'm on the fence about.

I started a Fire/Fire Tank and need advice on which powers I can omit. I am using it for content in a team. It seems between the two sets there are a ton of offensive powers. In the Secondary set I was thinking of omitting Build up, Scorch and Incinerate and concentrating on all the AOE with Fire Sword and Greater Fire Sword as a pair of single target attack fills. The Primary set I might not take Fiery Embrace and Phoenix Rising. The pool powers I was thinking of are, in no particular order ... Haste Leadership (first 3 powers) Jump & Combat Jump Fighting (Kick, Toughness, Weave) and have no idea what epic pool to go with. Your Thoughts?

I just made this scrapper. the war mace seems to hit a ton and shield keeps me from kissing pavement so far. im only lvl27 so far and I’m having fun with it. im looking forward to IO sets and want some advice how to slot this build. Especially shield. I never used that set.

My thoughts were the same. The Hulk does have extremely quick reflexes, but when it comes down to it, he is more known for his ability to take and shrug off massive hits. Spiderman and Beast also have enhanced durability and yes they are "scrappy". I think the problem is the term "Tank" it has a armored invulnerability connotation to it, so it doesnt lend itself to SR.
-
Since Superman has superspeed, I think his super reflexes are more a result of his super speed and not really an agility thing. Although since he is super man he probably has super agility too ... matter of fact, he has super EVERYTHING. So he can do everything.
-
I think it would depend on your definition of "Tank" If Tank means strong, then I can think of quite a few stronger than normal superheroes with super reflexes. Spiderman, Black Panther, Beast (x-men), Kraven the Hunter, Deathstroke all fit the bill, although an argument can be made for scrapper. I think CoH defines a Tank as a character that can go toe to toe due in great part to their defenses.

This is tough. But if I had only one choice. It would be my Blaster named Battle Smoke He's got Beam Rifle / Devices / Munitions Mastery Flight / Leadership / Fighting / Speed I would keep him for one single reason, my band recorded a song named Battle Smoke, so as everyone knows, Every good hero has his own theme music. I play that toon pretty often compared to all my others.

What do you mean hold out hope for buffs?

I am torn between the two Primary sets. Both Kinetic Melee and Martial Arts fit the character concept. I'm leaning more Kinetics, but Martial Arts just grabs me too. What would you guys choose and why?

Supergroups, Global Friends, and You

Supergroups: My SG is made up of 3 other people. I long for the days when I had a dozen or so people in my SG at any given time. But it seems most people arent very interested or have their own SG. Global/Local Friends: Use it all the time. I look there to see if anyone wants to team up. I feel like my Global friends list is what my SG was on live. -
Just to be clear. I'm not into the entire min/max thing, yes I want to be good at the game, but I dont need to be the best. I dont need to hit content at +4/8, although that would be cool to solo and feel completely OP! but I dont think my skill level at crafting toons is there yet. To quote the description on wiki of a Brute - "Brutes live to fight, and as a Brute you revel in hand-to-hand combat. With strong offensive power sets to inflict pain and impressive defenses to take it, you're the best there is in a straight fight. Protracted battles only makes you mad, and the madder you get, the more damaging your attacks become." That is my play style with a hand to hand character, dive in reckless abandon. I do not have the game knowledge to size up what I am about to fight and understand the potential debuffs, attack strength, etc... Sure I know which mobs will mez or end drain, but other than generalizations, I dont know squat. I havent played this game since shortly after CoV came out on live and I just came back here around June of this year, so I am still trying to get a grasp IO sets, incarnates and such. I feel the regen set wasnt forgiving enough for what I know of the game and my style of play. Is it a good set or a bad set? ... it wasnt a good fit for me, thats all I know.

As the title says. I have a love for names like this. what is the most over the top bigger than life name for a toon you have.? and what is the concept of the toon? I’ll go first. HyperSonic MegaClaw born with the ability to morph and mold his bones into any basic shape. Usually barbs and spikes. Coupled with the ability to move so fast he practically teleports.

I’m not going to sit here and bash the set. I played it for 3 days and 31 levels. that’s the sum of my experience with it. If there are people who have fun with it and like playing it, I am in no position to bash it and take that fun away.
