  1. HP Pavilion notebook with a Geforce 960M and Intel Graphics, no problems with running the game even when I switch to the intel graphics (by unplugging the AC). I forget how nvidia's power management works on Windows, but in Ubuntu there's this option:
  2. S/L damage is more resisted, but players who do S/L damage do more of it than players with other damage types, so it balances out.
  3. Jetpacks don't detoggle your powers and are 50k for 5 hours. When are you going to use 5 hours of a jetpack at once?
  4. yeah there's already a new AT, revamped zones, etc., check the patch notes https://docs.google.com/document/d/11cLJiSYlfueJheOumRywG8Evip2Mjmu_30Y6ePaetqY/edit?usp=sharing
  5. hey here's more ST damage hey here's more mez+debuffs hey here's more AoE damage hey here's more debuffs hey here's more pets
  6. are you kidding me, mace and mu mastery are comically OP on soldiers not sure about widows but everything but mace mastery thematically works great for them
  7. the best 100% certain way to avoid veteran levels is to turn off XP once you hit 50 100% of the time, it works every time if it doesn't maybe your character is bugged, you should file a ticket with support
  8. you don't have to use the shards you get through non-incarnate content if you don't want to also if you disable XP you do not earn XP even at level 50, which is what gives you the veteran levels you don't want
  9. Combat Jumping isn't a travel power, it's a combat mobility power ala Hover. If you want more, Ninja Run gives you good horizontal mobility (60 mph) as well as big jumps. Jump Pack lets you 'infinite jump' for 30 seconds at a time. Jetpacks are 60mph flight and run from 50 to 500k inf for 5 hours of flight time at the p2w vendor.
  10. Gaining Veteran levels requires earning XP, so if you disable earning XP you don't get Veteran levels. You still get Incarnate threads/shards from normal content, but you don't have to use them if you don't want to.
  11. The argument that playing canon characters is 'uncreative' and 'original' is not only wrong, but also irrelevant. It takes a degree of skill and technique to be able to play someone else's character and do it well. Sure, maybe it's 'without permission', but this entire server is ripping off NCSoft's IP without permission and nobody seems to care about that. I'd love to see a good justification for the reasoning that using NCSoft's characters without permission is okay, but using DC or Marvel's isn't.
  12. Except in PVP where SS/SJ is mandatory, pool travel powers are a convenience for the impatient, and anyone who tells you that you absolutely need them is wrong. Ninja Run + Sprint + Jetpack gives you 60mph run/jump/fly for the cost of no power picks or enhancement slots. It's the best deal you can get if you're planning on picking a lot of primary/secondary powers, and the best choice for a 'non-super' character concept. Some people don't like Ninja Run's animation, but you can ignore the animation and use your imagination to fill in the gaps. The only limit is yourself.
  13. you know that you don't have to run dfb if you don't want to right
