questions question about Patrol XP and that badge

Patrol exp- How does this work is it for every hour you get 1/24 of a bar worth of exp or is it percentage base which means 1% is equal to 14.4 minutes or is it 24 hours take it or leave it 1 bar(if the last one ignore the question about the patroller job/badge) Patroller job/badge- If percentage based or 1 hour per 24th of a bar does it save progress between offline hours. Such as you have x% remaining till next bar promotion(for badge) or x 24th's worth of bars before next promotion for the job. Or does it require a full bar/24 hour period for it to count. I hope I don't have to actually do 30 days worth of offline time in 24 hour periods for each day 😭
