  1. You can do 1 set of claws normal bladed claws and one set black/black vanguard blades or w/e they're called it will be very hard tosee especially in combat. Giving you that 1 hand claw look.

Anyway I thought of a wolverine parody and went brute cause I already have a claws/Regen scrapper

  2. With both those sets getting an update you can't really go wrong with either at this point.  So just mess around in the characters creator and see what you end up liking the look of more, the axe or fire melee to go with your nice guy

    Who skips Death Shroud?

If I'm skipping anything in DA it's Cloak of Fear and/or Oppressive Gloom.

I skip it on my scrappers until higher lvls when I have the end management under control. But yeah the control auras are usually first on the chopping block for me as well.

I am not without saying that a small wee-Goblin part of me didn't consider this, but then exemplaring down is just insane with only one attack for sooooo long, the idea of it nearly made me cry tiny Goblin tears.

On some characters I either just make sure I run everything I want to run under 30, and load up on trash power picks for the journey to 30ish , then Respec, or I just set up a separate exemplar build.

Captain America would be more of a Shield/Martial Arts pairing.

I would say street justice over MA. But again irrelevant cause OP wants the weapon version.

  6. For a scrapper bio is almost always "better" be a use scrappers job is damage and bio secondary offers more than others in that field. So if you want an absolute min max toon then bio is almost always the answer when it comes to scrappers.

And so now that you know that, you also know to not ever worry about if bio is better and you can just focus on playing what you want.

And energy aura is great secondary with lot of tools to survive. You got some good suggestions above to help with your endurance issues.

You only need 1 min/max absolute best of the best character (or arguably 1 for each AT), then you have 999 slots for fun characters, so don't worry about what's "better".

If someone tells you a power set is bad or won't work, or is bad on 1 AT over another and shouldn't be played, it's not because they are knowledgeable about the game, it's because they're really bad at the game, and can only make minimax meta bullshit work.

To underscore what athereal is saying:

Attuned Performance Shifter: Chance for Endurance, as I type this, is running a little over 3 million influence on the auction house.

Enhancements converters, which may be purchased three at a time for a single merit are running 75 thousand.

3 million/75 thousand = 40 converters. Divide that by 3 and you need 14 merits to afford a Performance Shifter. The Positron 2 (Dam Hero) task force pays 15 merits and is available at level 11

Or get carried through 1 SBB at 15 and sell that OWF for 4mil and buy your perf shifter that way.

  8. My claws/nrg is in a similar situation, feels very weak even with the incarnates. To the point that my claws wp with only t1 incarnates feels vastly superior.

But it was also my first 50 so it's really just cobbled together with duct tape and hot glue.

Maybe I'll strip and overhaul it this weekend if I have some time to flood Wentworth with iOS from my money maker this week.

  9. If you're going fire armor I'd go brute for the higher resist cap, and higher hit points. Cause fire armor can be a pain in the ass to use, but it can also be very strong. Going brute will just help you out a little before you can invest in full IO sets trick it out.

Now if you were setting yourself up with io sets from the get go, or teaming along the way it wouldn't matter and you couldn't either scrapper or brute as BD/Fire and do great. But as a solo project I'd go broot for that slight edge they have in hp/resist

  10. I've been wanting a stalker , but nothing I tried was feeling very fun. I ran a few up to 20s or 30s and always ended up abandoned them.

So after reading your post I made 2 new stalkers, staff/ice and staff/elec. I ran both through dfb posi 1/2 and yin and decided I'd stick with the elec armor.

But am loving the staff on stalker. Yeah the numbers aren't massive , but it's super fun, and nice having the aoe attacks as well.

  11. Claws is good from lvl 1 to 50+. And rad is real good on a scrapper too.

It's hard to beat a good claws scrappers for a fun do it all character IMO. And what's the best 2ndary to go with it? Whatever one you want! It goes with them all (cept shield obv)

I mean, it's absolutely not.  I jut double-checked to make sure I wasn't dreaming (or that there's been a recent change) and grabbed my level 50 spines/bio group and took it out.  Just in case, I overcapped aggro by pulling two groups onto me and made sure.  My fury did not get above 90, full stop, even when I had 17 people on me and however many more sniping from the sides.

My fire farmer brute never gets above 90% fury , it's like it's hard stuck there.

  13. New axe is amazing , and wp is solid. Since she only teams you don need to waste resources chasing def to be a solo monster. Just lean I to the Regen and resist/def hybrid style if the set.

Axe likes a Lot of recharge though , so try and get 5x gamblers recharge, haste , and as much recharge set bonus as you can reasonably squeeze in.

While at low lvls I take all three first attacks or it feels like you just have nothing to do. Around mid 30s you can respect into a more optimal chain.

It's not entirely true that attuning purple IOs is worthless. When purple IOs are attuned you get the full benefit of the set bonuses every level. If your only goals are PVP. And end game content then attuned purple sets are a bad idea. But if you spend a lot of time exemplaring with lower-level Friends or supergroup members it can still be worthwhile.

It depends entirely on what you do with your time.

Oh I was under the impression even with purple sets attuned they stopped working if you exempted down. If they still work attuned that's a game changer for me. Cause I love exempting down so never us purples in my characters

I have NEVER gamed over a wireless connection. Sounds like heresy.

My city was horrible in adopting broadband. It took ages to be available everywhere in the city. So back in those early years you'd go to he mall and see people playing WoW on wifi hotspots offered by some of those stores. Then see nerd fights when too many people were using one store or another's WiFi. "Go down to sears jerk! There's already 5 of us here!"

  16. I would like to use accessories/details and hats on monstrous and animal heads.

I would like some real mutant body features, too with mutant origin. Tech has a ton, but there's no like tentacle arms or weird bulgy grotesque stuff.

I'd like some more pirate stuff, the stuff we have is pretty weak. Same with witchy, magic, and occult stuff. There's not much to choose from.

I'd like full spectrum easier to find, the spectrum options aren't always easy to find.

More claws options. Bone claws, forearm claws (like in spines), and the ability to only show 1 claw if that's what you want.

More jetpack options. Frankly just adding the temp power jet and jumpacks would be enough.

Super Jump+Double Jump can almost make it across Boomtown. Not quite. Better than Afterburner though.

I just don't understand why we need a timer at all? Those extra powers aren't going to get much use in a mission. I could see it being toggled off by attacking.

Completely unrelated: In 2004 the top speed of a Honda Civic was 124 mph. The current model can hit 137 mph.  Faster than any living being in Paragon. This is why there are no missions where the villains jump in a hatchback to make a getaway...

So technically speaking the bruiser from thugs MM is probably the fastest character in game ? He comes in on a motorcycle when you summon him

I see no love for Infiltration.  Is Super Jump the better travel power of the two?  Yes.  But does it offer extras, like travel defense and stealth?  Also Yes.  It's also easy to cap your Jump Speed in infiltration, though jump height is where Super Jump has the lead.  Slot it with a Universal Travel set and it also offers very good run speed.  Some folks take random powers just so they can slot a 7.5% recharge proc from LotG, so  if you are going to do that, take one you'll use instead.

Summation:  Though Infiltration is not a first rate travel power, I would classify it as the best of the second tier ones.  It starts out better than the prestige travel powers like Athletic Run (10% greater specs), adds stealth and travel defense, and is slottable.   I think it is worth considering in many builds, especially if you already opened the Concealment Pool with the Stealth power.  (Note that Stealth and Infiltration are mutually exclusive, though. ) If you are a Kin, Infiltration moves into first+ tier travel, being buffed by Inertial Reduction.

Is there any reason to take stealth now if you take infiltration ?
