I'm curious who's HC_Attribution. I guess he started around late last month and is rising fast. I was poking around the: https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_list.php?s=&t=243287 and noticed him a couple of weeks ago when he had a 3-digits '7 days Change' jump in ranks. Now he's going to be on the 1st page before the end of today. It's kind of exciting because he's doing almost 50% more points/week than me and I expect him to be directly chasing down my butt by the middle of next month! 😅

How much increase are you guys actually seeing in your electric bills? I've had 2 bills since I started at the end of April and even with running a room AC more often than I'd like this past month because my room is now a bit too warm, I'm not seeing much more than usual.

Well... After the latest crash, the HWMonitor program recorded the max temperature on my CPU was 201F and GPU was 168F. I was playing COH at the same time Folding was running both CPU & GPU at the medium setting. On a lark, I decided to get a mirror and flashlight to take a peek around the back at my CPU's water cooler radiator fan to see if it was clogged with dust. Nope, it still looked clean, but the fan wasn't spinning !!! I guess that's the problem. I think the pump still works because I have noticed over the past few months, the water cooler would make some gurgling sounds every now and then. I wonder how long it's been dead. I've set up an external fan to blow on the radiator for now.

Yup, that was me. 😄 My character naming scheme this time around all start with "Suddenly". And no, this is not based on the memes and gag forum responses going around nowadays. It's actually due to a name of a band that I really liked: Suddenly, Tammy!

Hey guys. I just saw this topic here, so ... I've been Folding for a few of days now. My issue is that it seems to be crashing my system a couple of times a day (I'm on the computer all day). Of course, the only thing new to my system is the Folding software. The crashes happen whether it's set in High or Medium power. One moment, everything is fine and then suddenly my monitor goes black with no signal. My LED keyboard goes dark with no response (ie it's not in sleep mode). My system's fans are still running, but the short press on the power button has no response (ie it's not in sleep mode). I have to do a long press for a forced shut down. A couple of times, I was playing COH at the time. But mostly, it was while I was just browsing with nothing else running, aside from youtube on a second browser. Any thoughts on why I'm crashing?

I was @serialbeggar on Live. I started on Infinity with my brother. I mostly soloed my Contacts, but did plenty of teaming via the server's global channel. Nowadays, I'm on Everlasting as @suddenly snazzy . (Yeah, I didn't remember that the global name would be based on the first character's name.)

I was @serialbeggar during Live. I started on Infinity, but spent the later 2/3rds of the Live years on Triumph. At first I only made a character on Triumph after learning a coworker had a character there. He was only a casual player, though, as was evidenced by the fact that he was still using TOs for his low 30s character. I tried to gather Inf to rebuild his character, but he drifted to other games by then. I didn't come back to Triumph seriously until I saw someone on the Forums saying that they were organizing a Traps themed VG on Triumph, "The Trapsters". Unfortunately, The Trapsters fell apart after a few months due to low villain-side population and I took over the VG. I built the Base up from then and it was fully stocked. None of the VG membership ever popped back in even for a quick peek. This was the only SG/VG I've ever joined. I had personal SG/VGs on Infinity, Triumph, Exalted, and towards the end, Virtue. I ran mostly solo, but in the later years, my "completist" desire burnt me out. I did all my teaming with PUGs via the server global chat channels, so I doubt I'm particularly memorable for any of you. I'm on Everlasting now as @suddenly snazzy. (I forgot the global name was set on the first character name.)

Scrapper's Radiation Armor Gamma Boost is Auto: Self +Regen, +Recovery, Special Gamma Boost is supposed to have 100% base regen. I've got 3 level 50 generic Heal IOs in Gamma Boost bringing it to 198.22% regen The Combat Attributes is displaying that it is contributing a regen rate = 0.04%/sec (0.63 hp/sec). Now compare with Inherent Fitness: Health which has a 40% base regen. I've got 1 level 45 Heal (set) IO in Health bringing it to 56.20% regen. The Combat Attributes is displaying that it is contributing a regen rate = 0.23%/sec (3.59 hp/sec). Gamma Boost is 3.5x greater than Health, but provides less than 1/5th of the regen? Gamma Boost's recovery seems off too, but it's not as blatant so I'm not sure if I'm just ignorant about something. ------------------------------------------------ Update: I just decided to click the buff icon for Gamma Boost and it is showing: Regeneration Rate = 0.45%/sec ... compared to 0.04% in the Combat Attributes window. Recovery Rate = 2.75%/sec .... compared to 1.10% in the Combat Attributes window. While this looks better, the regen still isn't 3.5x Health's.
