If you're willing to share it I would be curious to see what kind of sacrifices had to be made to get perma SE.

Not at home right now but can post it later. It was pretty straight forward. Chrono Shift, Hasten and Spiritual Alpha are the main picks. Set bonuses, five +10% (Split SMoS, 4 piece SCotMM in SE). Alot of +7.5% with LotG, Basilisk Gaze and Panacea. A few +6.25% like Decimation and the newer end mod IO set (Forgot the name). +5% recharge from Dark Watchers in Time's Juncture and maybe more. Preventive Medicine set in one of the heals.

It still managed to keep all the pet uniques and most of the damage procs. So there were no IO set bonuses from Call to Arms/Expedient. The build skips the Fighting PP and slots the Steadfast/Glad Armor uniques in the pet upgrade. Mace Mastery for Scorpion Shield and PB. Stealth and Grant Invisibility as mule picks for LotG. It's a revamp of my Thugs/Time build with perma Gangwar.

  2. Necro/Dark is a favorite of mine. Necro/Time would be my next pairing choice. Equivalent softcap defense PB/Farsight + Edict/CtA + Maneuvers + Time's Juncture. Easier to get perma Soul Extraction (30sec recharge) with Chrono Shift. Solid heals and +regen powers.

Dark just has niftier tricks. AoE res debuffs, AoE stun/rez, Fear cone and a 7th pet. Though it's near impossible to get perma Soul Extraction.

Cold is alright though it doesn't have a heal and can't get pets to softcap. With some aggressive slotting around +37.5% def. Ice/Glacial + Edict/CtA + Maneuvers/Arctic Fog. AoE can softcap with SCotMM. PB doesn't work on Cold shields.

  3. I always put the Guile proc into AS so that the following power has a chance to crit, and also so that AS has the least chance to turn into the slow version.

I usually put the Mark proc into the weakest power in an attack chain or into an AoE. Mark's BU chance can be activated by any attack but for it to work, the power it is slotted in needs to be used once when entering a new zone/mission. Having it in an attack chain or AoE ensures the proc gets used early. Don't slot it in a mule power.

The amount of slots dedicated to ATOs usually depend on what set bonuses are needed for a build. Whether chasing S/L +def/res, +acc, +dam, +recharge etc.

  4. Awhile ago, I made a build in Beta that could run [BU]-AS-Abl-SS-Abl-repeat seamlessly paired with SR. Built hard for +recharge. Ablating recharged in 1.28secs, had +121% recharge slotted in the power (With Agility Radial Alpha) and +247.5% recharge bonuses from Quickness, Hasten and IOs slotting. Hasten was perma with no IO slotted in it.

It was actually fast enough that Moonbeam recharged in 5.1secs, so it could be integrated into the chain. [BU]-AS-Mb-Abl-SS-Abl-repeat.

The build wasn't great. All it had was softcap positional defense and a heal. Everything else was non existent, even DDR was on the low side for an /SR build. +65% or so. Damaged seemed good but felt like an overall dps loss due to lack of damage procs. Also because Musculature was skipped in favor of Agility.

For anyone interested, here's the build. There are probably a few ways to improve it without losing the +recharge.

Still debating whether to proc personal attacks.  Does anyone know if that temp pet proc well?

I remember testing that. Spectral Minions with the Gladiator's Javelin proc. It did not activate at all for them... But now that I think about it, I think their attacks are melee. If any of the SM attacks apply a -tohit debuff, Cloud Senses proc should be tested as well.

Edit: I just tested it. Neither range or Cloud Senses proc for Spectral Minions. They didn't trigger any for 150 secs of nonstop attacks.

  6. It looks a lot easier get enough +recharge to perma Fortitude on 6 pets than it is to get perma Hasten. Fort has a 120s duration, 60s base recharge time, so it needs to recharge in 20s to cycle it between 6 pets. +200% recharge should be close to enough. Around +75% recharge slotted in Fort + 70% recharge from Hasten + 55% from LotG/set bonuses will get it there. +200% recharge bonus.

If we account for Fort's cast time, 2.5s, it would need to recharge in 17.5s. It would need around +92.5% recharge from LotG/IO set bonuses. +237.5% recharge bonus.

  7. I never really played IM before but looking at it on Mids',  I see your dilemma. What attack chain are you currently using? Is Freezing Touch the best attack to use after AS? I'm not sure how crits affect DoT damage... Like do all ticks crit or just the initial damage? Or does a snipe after AS produce higher dps?

If FT is the better power following AS, I'm guessing the one of the best ST attack chains would be AS-FT-IS-snipe-IS-repeat. If a snipe is better following AS, one of the best chains would probably be: AS-snipe-FT-Fr-IS-repeat.

  8. I don't quite remember how snipes work but it was changed a year or two ago. Something like when using a snipe out of combat/before attacking or being attacked, the snipe is slow and interruptable. If using a snipe while already in combat, the snipe is fast. It works similar to Assassin Strike on Stalkers.

Also more +tohit bonus increases snipe damage.

  9. Spiritual Alpha incarnate would probably be a better than Vigor. Just to get Hasten, Soul Extraction and Anguishing Cry closer to perma. Painbringer is slotted pretty hard for recharge. Spiritual would knock 7-10secs off it's downtime as well.

The build has a lot of +tohit buffs and accuracy. Between Tactics + World of Pain + Kismet + Vigor Core. Can ease up on the slotting on Tactics. Gaussian's a great set when aiming for positional defense, but not as good for type def.

There's a recent Necro/Pain thread and it mentions the Panacea unique has a chance to proc on all targets within it's 15' radius when slotted in Suppress Pain. That includes yourself, pets and team/league mates.

I'm a fan of damage procs, it can boost dps by a considerable amount. Shield Breaker and Lady Grey in Grave Knights, Cloud Senses (And Unbreakable Constraint if it can fit) in Soul Extraction, Cloud Senses in Lich.

Cloud Senses proc does not work in Zombie Horde at all, will not activate. Can replace it for Edict or CtA unique so that Soul Extraction can get a proc. Overall I think the build is good and can easily get you through a lot of content.

  10. Ninjas with the same method (Hover/Provoke/D.Night/Leadership) and incarnates as previous posts. Three MM attacks, Tar Patch and Smoke Flash used constantly.

2023-09-12 21:29:36 [NPC] Oni: Attacking Rikti Pylon.
2023-09-12 21:30:47 You have defeated Rikti Pylon

    1m11s/71s = 668dps. 65 total crits.

    Procs:
    Genin: Explosive Strike, Soulbound
Jounin: Achilles', Shield Breaker, Lady Grey
Oni: Unbreakable Constraint, Trap of the Hunter

Explosive Strike, Unbreakable and Trap are not very good.

Improvement from pre-i27.5 seem pretty minimal damage-wise. Runs I did 3 years ago had Ninjas at 1m24s/84s/584dps. That was without personal MM attacks and without pet's passive +crit chance. The pets did not get hit at all so they did not heal. The Smoke Flash change feels like a nerf. It's only real advantage over it's previous iteration is the end cost saved.

Log attached if anyone wants to see it. First 3 runs are messed up. First run I died. Second run I set pets to aggressive-stay so they were to far to use melee attacks. Third run I forgot to upgrade the pets.

  11. For gits and shiggles, did another round. Same slotting/incarnates as the previous post, except this time used Tar Patch. Also used Dark Blast and Life Drain for Necro. The builds do not have Gloom or any of the Merc MM attacks.

    Mercs:

    2023-09-11 19:41:20 [NPC] Commando: He's dog meat.
2023-09-11 19:42:29 You have defeated Rikti Pylon

1m9s/69s = 684dps. In 69s, damage procs triggered 141 times. Average of 2 procs every second!

    Necro:
2023-09-11 19:28:41 [NPC] Lich: Once I finish Rikti Pylon, I may just come after you, NecroGKTest.
2023-09-11 19:29:43 You have defeated Rikti Pylon

    1m2s/62s = 746dps. In 62s, damage procs triggered 86 times.

Also these builds are not fully IO'd. They are pet test builds, most of the secondary powers are not slotted except for Darkest Night and Twilight Grasp. Could probably tighten up the T7 cooldown, add the other MM attacks. Maybe an alternate secondary. I think Sleet, Slowed Response, Freezing Rain, Acid Mortar etc all provide a higher -res debuff than Tar Patch. Both Mercs and Necro can probably get sub-60sec pylon times.

Also I tossed Ghost Widow and Trap of the Hunter procs into Lich because I could fit them for testing. They're not really worth it. Between both Necro runs, GW activated 7 times; TotH activated once.

  12. Tried out the primaries I already had set up from previous testing on Beta. Mercs and Necro. Musculature Radial Alpha, Degenerative Radial Interface, and Assault Radial Hybrid (Off). All pets had the Leadership buffs. All pets slotted several damage procs:

    Mercs:
Soldiers: Shield Breaker, Lady Grey, Soulbound
Spec-Ops: Achilles', Shield Breaker, Lady Grey
Commando: Explosive Strike, Shield Breaker, Lady Grey
    Serum had a 10s downtime.
    No MM attacks used.

2023-09-11 11:07:27 [NPC] Commando: Time for a little wet work.
2023-09-11 11:09:00 You have defeated Rikti Pylon

    1m33s/93s = 540dps

    Necro:
    Zombies: Cloud Senses
Grave K: Achilles', Shield Breaker, Lady Grey, Soulbound
Lich: Cloud Senses, Trap of the Hunter, Ghost Widow's Embrace
Soul Extraction: Cloud Senses, Unbreakable Constraint
Soul Extraction had an 12s downtime
    No MM attacks used.

2023-09-11 11:33:09 [NPC] Lich: Time for carnage!
2023-09-11 11:34:26 You have defeated Rikti Pylon

    1m17s/77s = 626dps

Dps will bump up higher with personal MM attacks. From the damage they do, and the buffs provided to Mercs and Spectral Minions from Necro. Damage would be through the roof if Fulcrum Shift, Overgrowth, Tar Patch, Acid Mortar, Slowed Response etc are used. Any additional +dam buff or -res debuffs.

Log attached if anyone wants to see it.

testing the Purple proc in soul extraction. If anyone has their own formal parsing on this, along with necro pet slotting in general,

I did some testing with Unbreakable Constraint VS Cloud Senses in Soul Extraction. MM Provoking while flying, pets on passive-stay at the pylon's base. Soul Extraction cast 6 times, 3 mins worth of attacks.

UC activated 61 times, in about 180secs, for about 85.68 damage per hit, for a total of 5226.5 damage. CS activated 118 times, in 180secs, for around 57.4 damage per hit for a total of 6773.2 damage.

Log attached below but my numbers are skewed a bit. I forgot to unslot Reactive Interface so the -res debuff was randomly bumping up the damage numbers. But it won't affect the quantity of proc activations.

I would roll with Cloud Senses if having to choose one. It activates twice as often which equates to more damage, exotic damage type, cheaper to get on the market.

  14. Excuse my ignorance but what triggers seizures? Is it flashing colors, patterns or movement? A combination? If it's colors, maybe adjusting the monitor's brightness, contrast, hue/saturation etc could help. Make it so the picture is borderline black and white. Maybe there are settings in game that could do similar.

So I did go ahead and place the Numinas Regen/Recovery and Miracle regen in DE and I think it was worth while. The Regen for the corpses increased by a decent amount above what they have, but the icing on the cake was the 6% Heal from Numinas I never though of.

Miracle doesn't provide +regen, Regenerative Tissue does. Miracle provides +rec.

  17. 2 hours ago, C U R S E said:

Hey Striker the pets will not benefit from Numina or Miracle. If you slot the Panacea then they will get the heal and the chance for End. With the Panacea and endurance reduction slotting in sets, there are no end issues with Necro. Yu are correct pets will not get the status reduction, but the Regen.

    I meant in Dark Empowerment.

  18. 2 hours ago, C U R S E said:

So I did try the Panacea and slotted it in Suppress Pain with the Numinas Regen/Recovery. The Panacea will proc with benefit to everyone, but the pets do not get the bonuses from the Numinas, only yourself. I kept it slotted in Dark Empowerment, where it was originally. Also slot the Impervious Skin Status resistance/Regen in Enchant undead, because your pets will get the bonuses.

Does your pets need the +end from Numina's? If not, Regenerative Tissue unique provides more +regen then Numina's does. Or add both if you have a spare slot. Impervious Skin only provides +regen to pets. They do not get the +status res.

I also dont use dmg procs in the knights.  because they are split between -tohit and -def its not worth it to me.

I've always thought the damage procs in Grave Knights are worth it but actually never tested without them. So I gave it a go. Musculature Radial Alpha, Reactive Radial Interface and Assault Radial Hybrid (Off) are slotted. Only GK attacking with MM Provoking.

    image.png.1fa829881c310f35c9b2fe2e180d4345.png

Four lvl 53 acc/dam HOs (+127% damage bonus), Achilles' and Soulbound equipped. No damage procs.

    2023-08-20 11:50:34 start
    2023-08-20 12:01:02 finish

    10m28s/628s = 189dps

    image.png.4cb40069d861331fe39f487eb9202a47.png

Two lvl 53 acc/dam HOs (+108% damage bonus), Shield Breaker, Lady Grey, Achilles' and Soulbound equipped.

    2023-08-20 12:35:57 start
    2023-08-20 12:42:49 finish

    6m52s/412s = 221dps

The procs shaved off around 3m36s off the pylon time, they gained around 32dps. Good call on Soulbound in GK! I didn't even think of the new aura. With that info, I think this would be my best all round slotting for Necro pets @Onlyasandwich

    image.png.4a246408f4862b50bfce74bf7145f7fa.png

-All IOs increasing pet stats are boosted to +5.
    -Zombies with some KD mitigation.
    -Grave Knights with several procs.
-Lich with some enhanced -tohit and mez.
-All 8 major pet IOs slotted.
    -Good amount of +damage res.
-Good amount of +max HP, +regen, improved self-heals.

-Ideally Musculature Core/Radial or Intuition Radial Alpha slotted.

As @StrikerFox notes, the upgrade powers (for Robotics) have a pretty steep Endurance cost, but I don't have any context for comparison (I was bored with a Thugs MM, and I simply never felt like rolling up any others).

All powers granted to the Bots by both upgrades has a 10-15 end cost. All powers granted to Necro by both upgrades are between 4-8 end cost.
