    Same.

Actually this used to be possible.

TP friend now renamed TP target used to work on NPC's

we were able to TP hostages to the designated location as long as we kept them targeted so,

    This is totally possible.

It would require an unerf, a denerf, antinerf (shrug)

    I dunno the exact term.

  2. Yall are right as always but

the text isn't vague or misleading its downright confusing.

The devs seem to be leaning toward removing the damage scaling descriptions on newer powers.

perhaps this typo can be added to their list

I would kind of hope this isn't literally true, but I guess it could be true, at least mostly true.  Just as an aside it's possible to modify code by changing it piecemeal while still keeping code compilable and working (sometimes referred to as changing all the parts of a race car while still driving it around the track).  But I can see that this might not be what someone wants to do with their spare time too.

    it isn't true

I switch around animations all the time

its actually not terribly difficult and works well as long as the cast times match up

tbh finding animations with matching cast times is the most difficult part 😞

the changes are only user side, so only you will see your different animations

but that's good enough for me

head over to the mod section of the forum to find out more

Certain effects in the game tend to be associated with a specific visual cue so that players can easily understand what that effect is doing, like Aim causing a yellow glow because the game associates Accuracy and ToHit with the color yellow, while Build Up causes a red glow because damage is associated with red. Typically, effects that do what most players call +Special (which improve buff and debuff values and mez durations) have the rainbow glow, as if you're getting temporary enhancements to multiple attributes, because that is essentially how most of them work.

While Domination doesn't technically work that way (it doesn't provide Strength boosts, it flips a flag to activate extra effects already baked in to your powers), it is intended to simulate that effect, so... we get rainbow sparkling Domination. You don't necessarily know HOW it works, but if you're familiar with +Special powers, the rainbow colors should communicate to you that your mezzes will last longer while under the effect.

But also yeah, it would be nice to be able to customize that.

does power boost also have the same rainbow effect?

since it also falls under the category of "+special powers" and boosts holds but not damage

Kick to the belly causes projectile vomit 100% of the time? While hilarious, seems kinda silly. COV City of Villains or City of Vomit, take your pick.

its only mag 2 which means it works best on minions.

You'd be surprised what I've seen folks do to minions.

also lots of thematic stuff in the game is silly like:

I can summon vine tentacles or throw clouds of bees and nobody bats an eyelash

but summon a little tornado and suddenly its time to get the hell out of dodge 🤣

  6. I too love air superiority and one of its most attractive qualities is the guaranteed KD

perhaps if the other power pool powers also had a guaranteed secondary effect they'd be more attractive

    for example:

Flurry (100% chance to disorient target mag 2)

Punch (100% chance to sleep target mag 2)

Kick (100% chance to make target vomit mag 2)

  7. Not gonna lie it took me 2 years to understand how Dominators function

I know I'm slow but there are a lot of attacks and many abilities are highly situational

learning what to throw and when can be quite difficult at first

but once you get your sea legs they are pretty awesome (sea legs are not a power)

my advice is, keep trying them out

    try different power sets

    try different ranges

    try different builds

eventually with perseverance (also not a power) you will find your groove

    here are 3 tips

#1. Drain psyche from psionic assault is extremely helpful for keeping your endurance up.

#2. You don't need Hasten to achieve permadom no matter what anyone says

#3. positioning. knowing the most efficient place to be just takes practice. (Some sets are more pew pew pew, and some are more pow pow pow)

  8. ok so 2 requests here

#1. Recolor the p2w hoverboard or place it in the wings category.

I recently saw a decent mecha costume and made my own (green and purple awesome Decepticon vibes)

The hoverboard matches better than any of the wings (imo) and they just feel awkward in combat

#2. As a Robot (technology origin) I noticed my robot ummm breathes, can we get an option to disable breathing? (sounds so evil lol)

  9. nope

    HC is legit

    the others are not

while the other servers have some nifty ideas

the spaghetti code is unstable (or so I've been told)

HC is also looking for volunteers to help with various things

If some of those other devs want to contribute they are as welcome to apply as any of us
