  1. this was sorta an idea the original Devs had but with comics,

    each month a created hero would be randomly chosen to appear in an actual comic

    so to have one of our heroes appear in a story arc would be kinda cool tbh

    how the hero/villian would be chosen?

    that would be problematic

    some of us have hundreds of heroes

    some of us are just farmers (not me)

    some of us are pvpers

    some of us are banks, nameholders, retired

    and using a system where you have to apply or submit isn't fair

    to those who just don't have the time or

    technical knowhow (me, me me)

    but all hope is not lost there are a few ways this could work

    unfortunately, I'm not smart enough to figure it out.

    I asked because as I poke around mids if I takes all the powers on either set (without enhancements)

    the willpower seems to have more base regen than regen (gasp)

    which oddly made no sense to me

    so here I am grasping at shadows

    lots to unpack here

     

    For me, I don't play seismic shockwave is its too visually noisy.

    I couldn't figure out the mechanics because I can barely see what is happening.

    KD has a cooldown from all sources iirc its not just this set

    Meteor is not the only T9 with a delay, see arrows for more information

    Use a knockback to Knockdown IO in powers you don't want KB.

     

    personally id like less......um visual effects for this set

    maybe a sand attack of some sort

    Id prefer if meteor were a volcano perhaps

    why not make every electric attack have a small chance of jumping to nearby targets for a wee bit o damage?

  6. yes storm is mid, deliberately so. It has been painstaking designed by the devs to be balanced.

    It mostly succeeds in this aspect. while I am sure there could be improvements in many areas the same is true of all powersets. 

     

    Storm cell - tbh the proc isnt what bothers me, what bothers me is its main component slow is un-enhanceable. even though its the only component that is guaranteed. 

     

    Flags - Most pseudo pets do not stack this is normal for the game the only pseudo pet that stacks is the lightning storm for the original storm set. allowing both category 5 and lightning storm to both have multiple pseudo pets would be unimaginably powerful. As it is throwing out cat 5+lightning storm is ridiculously strong (but fun)

     

    Chain lightning - gotta agree here its kinda lackluster.

     

    Proc lockout - I have never experienced this 1sthand, so I cannot attest to its validity. I will say with lightning storm in the mix very little stays standing in my storm cell. 

     

     

    Personally I feel the problem with Storm is most folks attempt to play its very aggressively.

    I've found, that storm plays more like a traps set.

    You set things up and foes get snagged 

    Trap sets are never particularly fast they are strategic.

  8. Yup this is a great idea imo.

    Give baddies toggles

    make toggles drop from mez

    DPS does what it does best

     

    as I stated in another post.

    this system already kinda exists in game

    the Tsoo sorcerer has a hurricane toggle 

    if the tsoo gets held the hurricane toggle drops 

     

    yup, I know this isn't the exact thing OP is talking about

    i'm showing the mechanic is already there

    it just need to be fleshed out to various mobs

    My super Strength/shield brute is just oodles of damage with rage+fury+against all odds toss in some force feedbacks procs and its let the bodies hit the floor time.

     

    for range

    On teams (which is rare) I like my AR/nin blaster, not terribly strong but fast and has got a treat for every trick

    solo (mostly) energy/Martial blaster cause you get some KB, you get some KB, you get some KB lol

    For example, a Lost mob get mesmerized, a teammate use Haymaker for x2 damage or something like that due to CC’d. I’d imagine that will increase the value of controllers/dominators.

    this is what I've been saying/thinking for years

    foes cant dodge, block or easily deflect attacks if held

    iirc stalkers did crit dmg to held foes

    this is no longer the case BUT

    the code already exists, so its possible to implement it

    but if it was everyone and not just stalkers holds would become debuffs

    and mezzes would become relevant again.
