  1. That makes sense. Any other damage dealer can chain more damaging attacks together in half the time. Still you would not want Assassin;s Strike to do more damage than it does currently. But I just came off two Task Forces where I might as well not have even been there with a Ninja Blade/ Ninjitsu Stalker. The other Scrappers and Tanks had everything defeated before my Assassin's Strike had charged even if I ran to the back of the enemy groups.. But that is all I was left with at level 28-29. This is because Stalkers have had their AoE attacks stripped from there power sets. They are locked into that Assassin's Strike and it can't keep up with teams. My solution is give Stalkers the Attack Powers: Lotus Drops, Typhoon's Edge, Whirling Arc, etc. We are not bound by PvP balancing and really, PvP for Stalkers will always be Assassin's Strike, Placate, repeat anyway. Having meaningful PBAoE attacks would allow Stalkers flexibility to have something to do on advanced teams. Staff gets 'Eye of the Storm', and when on a team I would use that attack more than Assassin's Staff. Team's move so fast now there is rarely time for Assassin's Strike, but it is handy for solo leveling still. How would you do it? Make it optional. Like you can take Typhoon's Edge, but you have to give up 1000 Cuts or Vengeful Slice. Or just let them pick 9 of the 10 powers. I would gladly give up 1000 Cuts for Typhoon's Edge. Typhoon's Edge is the signature power of Dual Blades and Stalkers don't get access. How did that happen?
  2. I may have to revisit INV. I think the last time I started an INV toon Unyielding locked you in place. That was my first Tanker. But I think INV would be pretty good the way it is now. Dark Melee would boost Invincibility/Tough Hide.

I am not going to say the Warriors are OP, but some powersets like Regeneration are not given the powers needed to to counter the speed of the Warrior's new Boss and Lt. attack rates until level 30 or so. At level 21 my Regen Scrapper is slaughtered by Warrior Bosses in under 10 seconds usually. You really need to hit a near full slotted Dull Pain as the battle starts to have time to get off a fully slotted Reconstruction even with slotted Resilience. I don't have major problems with Warrior bosses with any other powersets or archetypes so maybe it is Regen that is nerfed too much for low level Content in it's present form? Although Regen can defeat Family mobs/Bosses with the same challenge level as other powersets. You can say don't compare powersets at low levels, but the game should be shaping up better by the early 20's also. Anyway, been playing since the old days, new Warriors vs Regeneration Scrappers is a mismatch. I feel more like a 2004 Blaster than a Scrapper. Of course there is plenty of other 'scrappy' stuff to do. 😉
  4. Kinetic Melee is too slow or too weak for a Scrapper. Feels like a Tanker with half the armor. Looks good on paper so maybe it's the animations. Repulsing Torrent is a good interrupter, but you still get overwhelmed by mobs which seem to take too many attacks to put down. Even Freakshow which should be weak to Kinetic attacks. I'll keep leveling it though.
  5. I certainly like the gameplay with Tri-Cannon. Keep that as is. Maybe it would be possible to switch the Tri-Cannon to a robot at the tailor. We can't do that yet on any archetype as far as I know, maybe something to consider for the future. I guess I'll get robot pet after level 50 for my character concept.
  6. I would feel more like other Controllers/Dominators with a special pet. Assault Bot or similar would do this. Maybe include it as a power appearance selection at the tailor like your rifle's appearance.
  7. Please not the Auto Cannon power from Devices. No one takes that. If they do they never use it. City of Heroes has evolved such good pets over the years, have Tri-Cannon be some kind of robot. It can do the same damage and even be called Tri-Cannon, just not the Auto-Cannon animation. What kind of Pet is that for a Dominator or Controller in City of Heroes 2024? Also, are those damage figures right for Trip Mine? They seem too low in the pip.

  9. I tried Mids version 3.5.5.7 from loadedcamel, but looks very old. No Sentinel AT, no Blaster Ninjitsu, etc. Errors on start. I have the old Mid's Reborn on my older PC. Is that going to be it?
  10. Seems like Cortex didn't count towards the Epidemiologist accolade for me in the Graveyard Shift TF. I was missing one before fighting Cortex and still missing one after the TF completed and I had defeated Cortex. I am not repeating Graveyard Shift anytime soon. Can someone link the locations of the the Graveyard Shift bosses in the Abandon Sewer Network?
  11. Add Seishinteki Kyoyo to Ninjitsu. You could drop Caltrops. I never even take Caltrops, when I did I never had the need to use them. You force me to take Unrelenting by dropping Seishinteki Kyoyo from Stalker Ninjitsu.

  13. I ran into something I didn't understand; when slotting Venmous Gas for range it listed as PBAoE range 70 boosted to 84. something. What is being boosted to 84 feet? I am wondering if Dual Pistols is Bugged somehow with Poison. I have never seen it so weak even when fully slotted with IO's for damage and now running Assault as well. I have other Corrupters with Dual Pistols and they all fair pretty well. As far as chains, I shoot whatever is ready unless I need AoE specifically. Getting Stunned all the time even with Scorpion Armor and Defense around 26 percent base.
  14. Sorry, at level 40 I just have a rudimentary build of power choices on Mid's. Damage powers all have damage maxxed, got all those except pistols. Have all powers in Poison. Venomous Cloud had 2x Endurance Reduction and 2x ToHit Debuff IO's, though I get stunned for sure at that range. I got that -1lvl Gunslinger boss by popping 3x Luck, 1x Righteous Rage, followed by 2x Phenomenal Luck, 1x Resurgence, 1x Emerge when I was stunned and almost went to hospital again. Are we playing the same game? Maybe you folks didn't solo much at level 40? Scorpion Armor will help with all the purple inspiration consumption once I get it. But I do thank you all.
  15. Oops! Just died to a -1lvl Gunslinger boss on the 'Find Info on Quatrexin' mission. Stunned first of course. Obviously I am after the Scorpion Armor, but am I supposed to take 3 purple inspirations for each -1lvl boss until then? I have the Steadfast Protection Defense IO and Shield Wall resist 5% IO. I almost never level up through the Mission Architect XP farms. I prefer normal content even though it is slower. I really don't see how anyone could accept Poison as functional at level 40 for solo missions. Which you always need to do sometimes. Unbroken badge just now. And died again to same -1 lvl Gunslinger boss. :0
  16. It's a low level issue. There is no way the toon could run all 3 Leadership toggles at level 40. It can't even run Dark Armor and Stealth and get through a mission boss battle. The wimpy Crey Scorpion Armor bosses in the current case. They send my Pistols/Poison corrupter to the hospital almost every time. For now I will get through the solo content on -1 level which I never had to do before. It could be a Lethal Damage issue. The build is good. Most new players would not have a build this good.
  17. I am shelving the toon. I am on the third patron mission for Black Scorpion and everytime I fight a Boss the toon goes to the hospital. I don't think these bosses are difficult and you can always kite them for a 1v1 battle, but even with Dark Armor the toon is stunned and dead or just doesn't have enough damage mitigation at level 40 to defeat a simple mission boss. No heals, and Poison probably needs at least that, maybe a knockdown or Poison Trap you can throw. This is just my feedback on Poison. I subbed CoH from 2004 to 2012, was even in the closed beta. Poison is just too tedious when you solo for my taste. With teams it is a good asset for them, but I want more.
  18. Hover, Stealth (@ 0.21/s), Dark Armor (@0.28/sec) from range. Add Venomous Gas (@ 0.33/s) if melee is likely. Envenom and Weaken as needed. 3x End Mod's in Stamina. Switching to Scorpion Armor soon to dovetail with -to Hit. It definitely needs Assault from Leadership, but no way to run it now.
  19. I am only level 40 with this toon. Not many IO's. In the process of getting Scorpion Armor. I think the set has serious Endurance Hog issues for not much benefit. Too many castings, too often I suppose. I am well slotted for Endurance Reduction and Endurance Mod., but in any solo boss fight it always runs dry. On teams it works very well, but you are forced to solo sometimes and all powersets should be able to handle +0 level, +0 player missions and Poison struggles with this at level 40. Damage is weak even versus debuffed bosses. Venomous Gas puts you into melee combat with bosses and elites to use where they for sure out-damage you and even slotted it is an Endurance Hog. etc. I always lay out a few Poison Traps of course.
  20. Level 40 is no better. Does fine in groups and against trash in solo missions, but anything challenging ends up in a trip to the hospital. Like Fake Nemesis with a Warhulk them at level 41, me 40. A challenge, but do-able for most any toon. For my Dual Pistols/Poison corrupter, I am lucky to finish off just the Fake Nemesis and flee having used 6 or 7 Inspirations to get through. Quite often it's just a trip to the hospital. I have Dark Armor, Venomous Gas, Hover, Stealth, the Defense IO's, all well slotted for End Reduction, but I am always using 2-3 medium blues (endurance) in a boss battle which take about double the average time. Only solution to this I can see is Victory Rush. Did I mention getting stunned in every boss battle a few times? Well, I was just trying it for the RP, but pretty weak sauce. For soloing bosses. I usually get through trash ok.
  21. So I Respec'd recently and one power was not as described. The only way to replace it now is another full respec. Would be a nice QoL change to have some mission that grants you the ability to remove a selected power or powers. I can get by without it certainly. Just a QoL thought.
  22. Yes. My MM was relying on Force Field Generator and Triage Beacon and inspirations which ran out fast. Always wanted the 'Exalted' badge. I switched to Scorpion Shield and added Maneuvers since then. You get hit pretty hard though when you do get hit. but...... with Cryonite Armor and the day job defense power I get to 90% defense on Smash/Lethal so I have a temporary emergency power....... now.
  23. Don't know. I just joined and saw most minions were orange. Checked and saw most boss levels were 53. Maybe it was plus 3 for those in the team who were under 50? Let's see we got the two Goliath AV's, Romulus resurrects a fourth time and goes into a temple and starts casting black hole bombs. That's the Master ITF right? My only character to receive the "Exalted" badge.
  24. Exalted Badge after Master ITF, Unbroken Spirit before. rofl! I need a new badge for being defeated.
  25. Mercs/Traps/Field Mastery, 50 (52). Team of eight, 2+ levels x8 players. So moderate challenge Master ITF. Traps only gives you the Force Field Drone for mitigation, the rest is heals and debuffing. Anyway 30 plus defeats. normally I get through a TF with 2 or 3 defeats maximum. Buff the Force Field Drone maybe? I guess I should have waited to buy the Rez power from P2WN because it is free now.
