Regen gets nerfed every 6 months since 2004. Changed really. I thought this version was pretty good though. If Instant Healing is up you survive most anything, but if not you have to resort to other things so you save Instant Healing usually. Fix the Endurance Crash on Energy Aura armor. You should not die instantly everytime your endurance crashes. -
It's pretty difficult at 20's, probably till you get Venomous Cloud. Doing FreakOlympics arc and only surviving with inspirations vs. 3-5 freakshow minions. Best hit them with Neurotoxic Breath first to slow them down a bit. But I have no special buffs from IO's.

Mine is Dual Pistols set for poison, and Poison. I run out of endurance just using a Stealth toggle. And am I right that there is no self-heal? Powers have changed a lot, but on paper there is no self healing. Thinking Hover angle because there is also no trapping to create a melee protection. IMHO Weaken and Envenom should be one power or 45 second duration. Too much time spent preparing an attack, then you fire 3-4 times and start over.

Dark Mastery looks useful. Soul Transfer will get used a lot I am thinking. Oppressive Gloom and Venomous Gas would be a potent cocktail. Throw in Poison Trap. 😉

Seems like all the other Corrupter secondaries do much more. I like the RP of poison, but I also see everything rushing in on me unhindered. What would be my strategy?

Ice/Ice Sentinel wrong range on Moisture Absorption

Just a pbaoe would also work. Right now it only hits once in ten uses, yet having it hit is obviously required for Ice Armor or it would not be there. -

No Overload? You will need that when you say tank the Rikti Mothership. Yeah, I hate the total End crash too. Carry some blues and purples. Aid Self and Field Medic is the only buff I have found that even slightly restores End through the crash, but you still likely get defeated in those situations. it's a challenge.

Very hard to get close enough to targets to get Moisture Absorption to hit and the Sentinel is ranged anyway. Suggest 20 feet and 10 foot AoE. Thematically I want Frigid Shield to slow targets that get too close. My character embodies Ice and Cold powers. Anything that gets too close needs to feel it. Otherwise no complaints about Ice/Ice Sentinel.

Yes, the Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom do nothing while Hidden. Once you hit with your Assassin's Strike they fear or stun all the minions around you and block Hidden from restarting. However, if you use Placate it drops you back into Hidden to repeat your Assassin's Strike. If the placate doesn't affect all the minions nearby it can block Hidden from restarting. It's a little twitchy and once the placate wears off they know where you are and will attack, and get Feared or Stunned again. Like I say a bit twitchy as to what will happen, but amusing. Good as armor I suppose.

No, I won't be using Tough. I'll get Smashing and Lethal from Titanium Coating and Aegis as well as Stalker's Guile, but that is all a way off. My theory on Stalkers is they are not Scrappers, but can scrap for a while. They come with the tools to hit and fade and strike wherever needed. I am going to dream a bit here and respec into Cloak of Fear on the notion that it won't break Hidden just because the minions become feared. If it does break Hidden then it would also block you from becoming Hidden and of course be useless to a Stalker. Also, I would rather have a buffed Typhoon's Edge than 1000 Cuts. Typhoon's Edge has the best blade attack animation. I miss it.

Leveling a toon is not so smooth or without bumps along the way as you suggest. In the end with IO's and their buffs to resistances I am sure my DB/DA Stalker will become quite resilient. However, at level 20-ish Assassin's Blades buffed by Build-up was almost a one-shot on most bosses. It just seems like the power should be getting better, not fading away. 2004-2012 subber and beta tester

I am supposing that Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom are going to negate Hidden status from Hide since they are attacks and not a confuse or sleep power. If you could use them without breaking Hidden that would change things. It never worked that way on my DA Scrapper and brute though.

Well, level 38, not all the enhancement slots are available yet, but they are all level 40 recipe enhancements. The basic ones so no buffs from them. All attacks are at 97.5 percent damage with one accuracy and one or two recharges. Dark Embrace and Murky Cloud have 2 Resistance enhancements slotted. Not taking Psionic or Toxic so Obsidian just has one Resistance slotted. Hasten and Experimentation with Adrenal Booster slotted and used. I am not going to count the level 42 Nemesis, but on level 37 Rikti Bosses Assassin's Blades/Strike is doing nothing. Like 25% damage when buffed with Hidden, Build-Up, and Adrenal Booster all up. That seems weird.

At level 20 this Stalker was playable. Could do high damage to +1 bosses. At 38 it does only minor damage to -1 bosses. Hidden with Build-Up running. Dark Armor doing squat. Soul Transfer working on overtime. Good thing it does not take too long to recharge Soul Transfer.

LoL! No answer to this XP Debt monster I guess. It's pretty much guarentied you die everytime Overload drops. Try some other secondary I guess. The problem with Defense based defensive sets continues to be the up-scaling of accuracy and to-hit of plus 3's and plus 4 level foes. Whiles Resistance based defense is always working Defense based sets still suffer this failure to work at high level. 16 years and counting........... unbelievable. 😞

Energy Melee just seems a little slow in the execution. That's ok for Energy Transfer, but the rest needs more action/animations going on even if the damage is the same. It needs more snap.

So...... when tanking higher level mobs with with their higher level accuracy/to-hit, Energy Aura's 'Overload' becomes necessary or you die instantly usually, think Imperious TF battles. Then 3 minutes later you get the endurance crash from Overload and you definitely die when your toggles drop. Unrelenting doesn't work, Energy Drain is blocked by no END. Only thing I have found is Field Medic plus Aid Self gives just enough END to keep 2 toggles up, but not enough to use Energy Drain. Any suggestions?

Caltrops maybe, the rest are all pretty nerfed. I don't need them. They don't offer any intrinsic benefit to your primary or secondary. Don't need melee procs mostly and never take a power just for procs. Plenty of stuff in the pool powers that support you primary and secondary and they get procs too.

I don't post much. Sentinels are fine, CoH is great, by far the best Superhero MMO and RPG. Probably the best MMO ever too! However, I don't think the Sentinel Epic Pool Powers are a better value to the archetype than ordinary Pool Powers. Give me some special Sentinel-only epic powers that move the class forward.

You can off-tank or support melees or temporarily draw aggro to protect teammates. You can take Provoke from the Presence Set. Just be careful. And you can blast stuff. IMHO, the perfect hybrid!

Some sets are mostly 40 range which makes you a scrapper. Needs review. Otherwise I am very tanky at range except when Ninjitsu it seems. Sometimes I can jump into the middle of the fray and mini-tank or off-tank with the other sets though it is very risky. That's all though. Sentinel is not a Blaster or a Scrapper. It's like a hit and fade hybrid and works fine for me. However, the Epic Pool powers are worthless. I never take them.

Guys I ran an entire Death from Below TF with my Powers tab open to Damage Bonus and 'Reach for the Limit' activated once for 37.5% bonus. Thats like once in 200 activations? Once. Really? If that is all it's going to be just dump it for Build-Up.
