  1. Hi Blaster Community,

     

    So I noticed a distinct lack of builds for a combo that I feel a lot of love for. Energy/Martial. I would like to post my build for your critique. Goals were of course S/L/E soft cap and I even managed to get hasten just a bout perma with one slot.

     

    Enhancements levels are just willy nilly but power placement is how I have been leveling him. Please offer any advice on improvement.

  2. After reading @Force Reduxpinned topic on Dark Miasma I was moved to try MM's seriously for the first time. I wanted to try out Beast/Dark. The dark slotting is just what @Force Reduxused in his Necro/Dark build and for the beast I followed the template of @Warlawkbuilds. Is that an ok way to do this or do you need to approach the two sets differently when you switch up the primaries? I am not a good builder so I thought this was a good way to attempt it. In play it "seems" to work ok so far. 

     

    He has a middling level of defense and a middling level of resistance. Add that to Bodyguard mode and darks - tohit and it seems to make for a tough MM. That being said, if you have better ideas on the build below to tweak it tighter that would be appreciated. I can spend more money if needed.

  3.      I am running version 2 of these builds and yes they feel super solid and very fun to play. However I have a question. When you say you soloed +4/x8 was that with a different build then version 2? Don't get me wrong, it's fun but if I go over +2/x3 I struggle big time. Either killing speed or endurance loss., and that usually results not in death, but so low health and endurance I run away and recoup.   Maybe all your incarnates are tier 4? I am only at tier 1 musculature, degenerative and ageless right now.

     

    I have followed the build to the letter otherwise. Maybe its my play style? I tend to hit scrapper mode too often and perhaps a widow needs to utilize its confuse and ranged powers more? I often forget about it and the mass confusion is still dreadfully slow recharging so it's only a panic button if a pull another group accidentally.

     

    Help me Obi One Gulbasaur, you're my only hope.

    I have my first ever Peacebringer to 50 last night thanks to you. I am a very casual player so that was a feat in itself. I have followed your Solar Flares build to the letter and I have to say I enjoy the play style very much. Each form has its use in battle.

     

    Question though regarding the Hami's. As mentioned I am casual so I have all the IO's slotted except Hami's. Is there a simple way to just replace them for now? Or would the build need re work if you were not going to use them? You mentioned replacing them with set IO's further up I think. Anyones' in particular?

     

    And lastly, because I am greedy apparently. I do want to work towards purples but when I flip to alternate the slots are all empty 😞

     

    I know I am asking a lot from a free service 😛

    Note- Boundless energy has higher recovery than stamina, and the chance for +end doesn't proc very often in stamina. adjusting some slots to add a miracle someplace could help a lot.

    Boosters in all of your common IO's also helps a lot. If you leave stalker's guile the way it is, boosting hasten's recharges to +4 drops your hasten downtime to 9 seconds. slotting miracle into health, pulling slots out of stamina to add a common end IO +5 to boundless energy, and swapping out stealth for maneuvers and moving the second slot from Cj down to maneuvers for an LOTG defense/end increases your power usage to 1.44, but it also increases your recovery to 4.08, and your defense across the board  by 3%.

    Really minor tweaks. Getting superiors is really going to help, and agility core will boost your defense quite a bit... and combined with endmod in boundless, your recovery will be a truly disgusting 4.78. with perma-hasten. Many melees prefer musculature, but in this case, you are going to be one-shotting stuff a lot, and you already have plenty of +dam... as well as 24 second buildup.

    I see STJ/Bio on the stalker forums and also hear mention that savage is better on stalkers as well but cannot find a build for that particular pairing. I do not make builds well so please have a look at mind and tell me what needs changing. Bear in mind, I cannot afford the superior versions yet until I get 12 catalysts, and I cannot afford purples at the moment.

    I don't know if I should have started yet another electric/shield thread. I posted an edit in the other one but thought I would also post here for advice. If I should start an entirely new thread then I will, just didn't want to clutter the forums with electric/shield.

     

     

     

    So obviously I'm a newb as I thought I could switch builds willy nilly and transfer enhancement from one to the other.

    "Clunky"!!!! You found the word for what I'm feeling, yes I already took SC so I'll finish up that line. I haven't entered the build into pines yet to see how much of a loss on def you get without maneuvers.

    Can i hijack this but keep it in the same vein?

     

    My electric/shield just hit 47 and plan on 50 tonight. 

     

    Auroxis? What could I replace maneuvers and assault with? I don't know why but I just don't want all those toggles. I wish I had a good reason. You had an earlier build that featured Leviathan mastery. Any of the other epic pools work with the rest of your build if you removed maneuvers and assault? Or at they critical?

  11. How are things going with this toon Adeon? I started one yesterday, he's 22 now but that was all through DFB and DiB so I don't have a real sense of what he's capable of.

     

    I have combustion as well but have never used it so I think I'm going to toss it. Anyway, the few missions I have done with him post DiB have been ok. Safe and slow is how I'd put it.

     

    Where are you at now in the leveling process and what if any, new revelations have you come across?

    Just got my Spines/Bio Stalker to 40 and while enjoyable I want to try my hand at range to the higher levels and see if I like it better.

     

    I'm an old hand with storm (controllers though) so I am pretty confident in what I want with that set (well, with the exception of thunderclap which I will explain when I talk about the blasts)

     

    Which brings me to my questions.....Dark Blast.....What to skip?

     

    1) The T1 and T2, are both necessary or do people tend to skip one for the other?

    2) The snipe, is it worth it on a corruptor, I know they made changes but still not sure.

    3) The Cone Knockback....I will have enough knockback to deal with with Storm so would like to skip this if it doesn't gimp my DPS

    4) The Nuke, Are they taken by corruptors? and Darks in particular?

    5) Finally, The disorient. I know a lot of people skip it but I was thinking of stacking it with Thunderclap which is something I have never taken on a Stormy before.

     

    I know I am asking a lot so any help is appreciated.

    Yeah I think I'll take it just for the utility. I guess it's the one point against a spines/bio combo in that the sleep, as useless as it is, is made even more useless with a primary with aoe's.

     

    Glad to know there is no real synergy problems however. That's good. What about the ATO? Does it go into assassin's strike?

     

    One other thing I forgot to ask, I skipped the T1 attack, is that ok with spines or is it necessary for a good chain? I feel like I'm missing it at lvl 22 but maybe that will change?

    I did an advanced search for spines but could not find the specific answers I seek.

     

    My first question is, is this a good combo? At level 22 now it "feels" good but is it productive endgame.

     

    Does spines "lose" something on stalkers without the aoe damage. Does bio "lose" something with that aoe sleep they get as opposed to damage?

     

    Finally, I am not worrying about sets until I actually hit 50 but I wouldn't mind getting at least stalkers guile. Where is the best place for it with this combo.
